I am watching this not for "entertainment" but as a reminder where meat comes from and a reminder of what it is I eat. As a city dweller I have little opportunity to see first hand how animals are "processed" before they turn into the "meat" that is delivered to the store where I buy it. Videos like these are important. There should be a custom that after every 50lbs of beef you eat you have to observe 3 minutes of a cow being processed.

people who disagree with slaughtering of animals should really reconsider their lifestyles... just to mention a few soaps, jello, leather, candles, some medicines, cosmetics, and even glues are all made with slaughtered animal by products... don't want anything to do with a slaughtered animal, you just might as well live like a vegetarian Amish. i personally don't like to see my food being killed but someone has to do it...

The slaughtering tactics you see in this video are abnormal. Almost all slaughter houses use a gun that shoots a retractable bullet and kills the animal instantly. Even in these videos that show the animal shaking while tied up, they're not alive, that's their nerves still running out. Same thing happens to a human when they die, they don't just drop dead like in the movies, the nervous system will still keep them shaking afterwords for a minute or two.

There are 3 horse slaughterhouses in US & just like cows, horses are slaughtered by slitting throats.
Americans should demand laws for farm animals to be slaughtered instantly.
Asian countries consume MUCH LESS # of animals than any country of the West, so PETA should focus its effort in the West.
