Dire Straits had many good guitar riff solos, I like Sultans of Swing and Telegraph Road among many. Regardless the instrument, good rock and roll is Dire Straits, so is the best guitarist in the world matched only by maybe Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden but that's Heavy Metal. Would like to see both together doing a dueling guitars kind of thing, both British, would be cool.

@AgentX92 Speakers on the pc well or not don't matter. The song is all right, but the soundmix is incredible horrible. The deaf soundengineer at the knobs of the audioboard has mixed this great song into a garbage cacofônia.

@MORTALHLACHE Keith Richards is going for his "Sound" not technical excellence. He use open 5 string tuning, completely different to Clapton, Knopfler, et al. But he is probably the best song writer out of them all and comes up with the best riffs.

@TheRevvvhead Although that might be true, there are different opinions about what makes a great guitarist great. My opinion is that it is the soul, the technique, and the emotion. Keith is a great artist and musician, i'll give him that, but my criteria for best guitarists obviously differs from yours. Let's just agree on the fact that he is amazing in his own way, as all of these great musicians are :)
