  • This one must make the libs unhappy. He actually got away with calling it a baby instead of a blob of tissue or a fetus.

  • I think this is a song about how he is happy she isn't having an abortion... banner74... maybe your mom had second thoughts?

  • Great outfit he was wearing onstage. He just had to lose the belt.

  • here cuz of the hillywood show

  • PAUL VC É SIMPLESMENTE ENCANTADOR.

  • Who's the woman singer on this with him, she's great too.

  • @teacupgirrrl3621 Her name is Odia Coates. Unfortunately, she is no longer with us. She died of breast cancer some years back. What a loss

  • Havin' MY Baby??...ummm, shouldn't it have been Havin' OUR Baby??...it takes two, ya know...but that another song...

  • @josie426 This is about a man tlelling his wife how happy he is that she is having his baby. He got a lot of flap about the our/my thing, it never bothered me.

  • LOL SAME I WAS BORN THE SAME DAY IT WAS RELEASED LOL

  • This song was #1 the week I was born!

  • The number one song when I was born. :)

  • @031robert Me too!

  • A beautiful song that I remember so well back in the 70's

  • I always wanted to listen to this song

  • I love this song and I remember that my sister's boyfriend used to play it in the car. But now that I understand the lyrics, is not really romantic I don't like the part where it says that she could have get rid of the baby, it's actually cruel and sort of selfish.

  • a perfect song. i wonder if, in the lounge of a planned parenthood, this ever streams through their musak account.

  • #1 song in America the day I was born.

  • @29rockton Me to! 4.september 1974!

  • @coquiguaca My mother was singing this song, so i search it for her in youtube and she smile :), my father die a year ago, is the first time i see her smile... Thanks for the vid!.

  • Thanks to my 5th hour teacher the lyrics of this song are forever burned into my head...but im not complaining

  • This song was allowed on the Midnight Special because it was his biggest hit in years. If you wasn't around then, chances are you wouldn't understand that.

  • Good gawd! That's one of the creepiest things I've ever seen in my life. Why the hell was this allowed on the Midnight Special?! Truly awful.

  • Quite possibly the worlds sexiest man ever!!

  • If I see Paul Anka here in his younger years, he just looks like my good old friend Simon. The uncrowned king of stunts. They probably know each other overthere in Hollywood.

  • odia coates died at 49 in 1991

  • 13th june 1987, 7.30am this was playing in the taxi 2 hours after beautiful wife Antoinette gave birth to my 1st daughter Susan....... beautiful song

  • I'm old...And I remember 1974 very well...This song #1 song was all over the radio dial! I remember kids singing along to it in their cars on A.M. radio. People loved and still do. Not sure why the younger listeners find the lyric so offensive?! Yet this same crowd finds nothing wrong with today's rap crap.

  • Damn, just doing some regular research about random stuff and I find out that people hate this song? I mean its not the most clever song ever but its not horrible.

  • Canadians... sheesh.

  • I hear u having one of yours, when is due:) I love to know:)

  • And very happy:)

  • 2011 and still a gr8 aong.

  • Ugh! This is a song that should never have left the privacy of their home. What a horrible way to salute pregnancy. This song is laughable!

  • @sarahtessa Maybe to you it's laughable, but I know someone who in 1974 bought two 45 copies of this song in honor of the impending birth of what would be he & his wife's only son,and the wife loves the song as much as he does and as the son grew up to be a man and was told this story he too has come to have a special place in his heart for this tune. Too make it crystal clear why I'm taking umbrage with your insensitive comment, the person who bought the two 45s was my own father.

  • i thinks it's one of the sweetest songs ever!

  • I think this is such a wonderful romantic song

  • I can't believe this is real - thus truly has to be one of the worst songs of all time

  • sencillamente extraordinario paul!!!!

  • love Paul Anka and love this son...

  • fantastic !!!!!!
