  • Bro... its better if give it subtitle in english, just like u give the chapter above, salam...

  • Bro,leave the hate remarks to Allah Al Mighty, for Allah is the wisest judges.

  • I would encourage everyone, to read "Differences of the Imams" by Shaykh Muhammad Zakariyya (Al-Rashad Books). Mashallah it's a very good book for understand usul al-hadtih and usul al fiqh at 1) the time of the prophet, 2) time of the sahaba and 3) at the time of the mujtahid imams. It elucidates the depths of understanding required, as possessed by the imams of the past, when extracting rulings for the hadiths, as well as selecting which hadiths to take rules from. Khair inshallah.

    Salam

  • mmmm and what language do u speak? other than english?

  • @AMIRAH75 Tamil...

  • @asifmasih1 Arab is the most beautiful, powerful and poetic language in the world...the miracle is in the arabic language...not any tom, dick and harry language...

  • A.O.A. do translate the video n pls give reasons for chest on hands and raising hands before & after Roukh.

  • Ive posted hadiths about hands on chest below - get a book called the prophets prayer described by al albaani and it expalins all using authentic hadiths only

  • The hands position on the chest bone is not correct. It's either under the navel or just above it.

  • the hadith states that one should place the hands on the chest, NOT on the stomach, which would be the case if u placed ur hands under or just above ur navel!!!

  • There is no conclusive evidence for hands on the chest. There are hadiths stating above the navel and below, which are CONCLUSIVE. One hadith is not a ruling, it is a hadith. Only when examine together with other hadiths and rulings does it become a rule. We follow sunnah, not hadith. Hadiths are a primary sourece from which we use to derive to sunnah, but it is not sunnah in itself. This is why fiqh is so important. If people look at hadiths as manuals for islam, they will make mistakes.

  • Before fiqh, what matters is the Qur'an(memorazation). Salafi methology is the best fiqh.

    Salam from Bosnia.

  • Madhabs are based on Quran and Hadith, as understood and narrated to us by the likes of Ibn Abbas and Ibn Masud. Salafi fiqh is based on modern interpretations, with no authentic chain. Fiqh is the process of deriving rules from the Quran and sunnah. So to say quran comes before fiqh is not clear.

  • I'm new to Slafiyyah. Madhabs are based on the Qur'an and the hadeeth but the scholars imply things. Salafiyyah is based on not modern but the first 3 generations of the Prophet, saws. We follow more of a litteral form of Islam. We are the followers of ahlal sunna. We reject anything that doesn't match with the Qur'an and the hadeeth. This is what you are calling modern scholars. And we do not follow modern scholars but the scholars of the past, such as Ibn Tayymeyyah etc..

  • Salam, remember the mujtahid imams, such as Abu Hanifa, were of the Salaf. So when you follow the madhabs, you are following the salaf. Whereas modern salafism is based on a self-proclaim puritan group insisting their interpretation and religious disposition is somehow correct and closer to the salaf, than anyone else. But then they reject the opinions and schools of the actual salaf! So it's more of an issue of which imams one follows, rather than who is following Quran & Sunnah more closely.

  • When you say "we reject anything that doesn't match", the question is who exactly is "we"? In the madhabs, "we" are the mujtahid imams, their students, the former were of the salaf, and have greater fiqh, taqwa and closeness to allah than anyone today. In modern times the "we" refers to living scholars who think they have a deeper understanding than those of the past. Implying things is fine, when it is based on the Quran and Sunnah, lest we only cook with wood and not use speakers for athan.

  • My dear brother in Islam,

I trust Salafi scholars more than I do other scholars of today. I have been following Hanafis fiqh and no one has informed me on how to pray as the video shows, index finger etc...

You have issued fatwas that encourage woman to pray in the mesjid. I know that Resul, saws, encourages us to pray at home. So, there are many ways in which Non-Salafi scholars state things contrary to the sunna. That is the purpose of Salafis to revive the sunna.

  • Islam began as something new and strange and it shall return to being as new ans strange, so taboo( a tree in paradise) for the strangers" Who are the strangers O messenger of Allah? Those who revive my sunna after it had been corrupt. Now, lets not waste our time brother. Salam from Bosnia :)

  • The "imply" is fiqh, and is in the spirit of what the prophet approved of when he sent Muaz ibn Jabal to Yaman to be the faqih, and he approved of him 1) using the Quran, then 2) search in the Sunnah and then 3) then to do ijtihad to determine the best answer, if he could not find it in the 1) or 2)

  • what plant are u from? salafi manhaj only take from the authentic books my brother so i dont know where your getting your information from.

  • There are over 500,000 authentic hadith, in hundreds of hadith books.

  • to place hands on the chest is what is proven in the sunnah and all that is contrary to it is either da'eef or totally baseless. in fact, imaam ishaaq ibn raahawaih acted on this sunnah, as marwazi said in masaa'il p222 "ishaaq used to pray witr with us, he would raise his hands in qunoot and make the qunoot before bowing, and place his hands on his breast or just under his breast."

  • also check out hadiths - abu dawood, ibn khuzaimah in his saheeh (1/54/2), ahmed and abu shaikh in taareekh isbahaan p125

  • "the messanger of allah (saw) used to place his right arm on his left arm, and clasp them firmly on his chest during prayer" transmitted by Abu Dawood (759) with a saheeh isnaad.

  • @AMIRAH75 u are right...place it on the chest...

  • I wish it had English subtitles....

  • TRANSLATE TRANSLATE TRANSLATE

  • this man is having his garments below his ankle.. that is haram

  • Assalamualaikum,

    Jazakallah for the video

now i'm know how to solat the right way

    Alhamdulillah...........

    Subhanallah............

  • JazakALLAH for the video,

can anypne post it with english subtitile please.

  • wow- never read that it does say wipe your feet-

    kinda cool

  • selam walkom.. in this video the brother has his hands on his chest the prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) when he first started 2 pray he put his hands on his chest after a short period of time the prophet(S.A.W) put his hands on or under his belly button

  • Why do we "wash" our feet in wodoo?! I never understood it. Washing our feet SHOULD be something SEPARATE from wodoo, it should NOT be included in our wodoo- Quran 5:6 gives direct instructions how to do wodoo-"Wash Face and Arms up to the elbow & WIPE (IMSAHH) head & feet." Wash is NOT same as wipe- someone clarify this for me. SOME English translations say WASH- but any Arabic speaking person knows IMSAH=WIPE- word origin:MASEEH-ANOINT "anointed one"-WIPE IS NOT SAME AS WASH- read the arabic

  • The proof is n the Sunna

Ibn 'Abbas performed ablution n washed his face (in the following way): He ladled out a handful of water, rinsed his mouth&washed his nose with it by putting in water&then blowing it out[..]took another handful of water&poured it over his right foot(up to his ankles)and washed it thoroughly&similarly took another handful of water&washed thoroughly his left foot (up to the ankles)&said, "I saw Allah's Apostle performing ablution in this way."

    [Sahih Bukhari Book 4]

  • 1. hadith are not all authentic.

    2. Are you saying that if hadith contradicts QURAN then we should follow narration/hadith and Disobey the Quran?

  • Don't u know that Al Bukhari 's books are declared as one of the most authentics [Sahih]??? As far as ur 2nd Q is concerned ,Our scholars'job( such as Sheikh Ibn Uthaymin ,Albani (rA)etc) is to examine all the hadiths and their authenticity ,somthing on which they worked on their ENTIRE LIFE subhan Allah , so its logical da sthg which contradicts the Quran cannot be a source , don't forget that the Quran is followed by the sounna. Plus the followin hadith emphasize its importance:

  • In the Quran:ALLAH said "whoever obeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has won a great success."(33:71)No 1 said da Sunna is more important than the Quran n the correct opinion is da Quran&Sunna r equivalent in its legal weight.Abu Hurayrah reported:the Prophet(SAW) said: "All of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those that refuse. Those who were with him(the Sahaabah)said,"And who will refuse?" He(SAW)said:Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise&whoever disobeys me will have refused."(Al- Bukhari )

  • Sister Muslymaz, I agree, Hadith are important and are mostly authentic. But Astuggfurallah, did you just say hadith are equivalent in authenticity as the Quran? Quran is the direct words of Allah without a single mistake!

And when the quran says something- we must obey it as you said: ""All of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those that refuse." so when Quran says: FA GHISILU Wujūhakum Wa 'Aydiyakum 'Ilá Al-Marāfiqi Wa A'MSAHHU Biru'ūsikum Wa 'Arjulakum. Then we should follow it.

  • if you dont speak arabic:

GHISILU is the command for GHUSOOL = WASH

    and

A'MSAHHU is the command for AMSAH = WIPE

    amsah comes from MASE'EHH Masiah-"annointed"

if you dont believe me go read it in the Quran yourself- I just simply asked a question and was looking for a better answer then you just telling me that the hadith says something else- if you believe hadith is more important that Quran, then I dont know what to say to you.

    salam sister

  • btw, not sure if your a sister or a brother- excuse me if i made a mistake on that

  • Yeah am a sister . Btw I do understand arabic and I know what the Qur'an says about wudu alhamduLillah . I think u just misunderstood me when u said "did you just say hadith are equivalent in authenticity as the Quran?" SCHOLARS said they were equivalent in weight .But Of course the Word of God is the most authentic source ,who could deny such a thing! anyways just do as u think is the best ; may Allah help u. Amine . Waslm alaykum wa rahmatuLahi wa barakatuh

  • If one is more authentic than the other, then it does not make sense to say they are equivalent, right? And when they contradict we should go with more authentic. Anyhow, please do me a favor and ask around because I would sincerely like to know. Thank you, best of guidance to you as well.

    salam

  • As-Salamu 'Alaykum: The Qur'an is the #1 source of guidance. Imam Al-Bukhari stipulated that a hadith is not authentic if it contradicts the Qur'an. With regard to which takes precidence. It is the Qur'an. The Authenticated Sunnah gives more explaination. Were it not for the Hadith, we would not know the sequence of the Salah or how to hold the hands when in Salat. The Hadith can then be seen to be an explaination of how to perform the command of Allah(Azawajal). Ma Salama.

  • TomMarAlem1987-Thank you for your reply.

I completely agree with you (Quran > Hadith). Nonetheless, my question was regarding specifics in abolution (wodu).

  • stick to the schollars of the 4 schools, you dont need to re-invent the wheel.

  • not re-inventing the wheel- just using the Aqil (brain) which Allah has given me. ilim (knowledge) is a large part of our deen, alhamdilah- we dont just blinding follow like others,

I brought up the issue because quran is pretty specific on the method of wudo. Please read the verse in arabic... I would love to see an explanation of why we wash our feet if you can provide one. Thank you.

And please keep in mind Quran takes presidence over any ahadith. Thank you.

  • we muslims take islam the way that the prophet(saw) has passed it dow to us. we dont make a new religion. the christians made a new religon they are constantly changing their religon. dont be one of those people who try to re-form islam.

  • im not trying to make a new religion, but i simply asked a question and was looking for an answer-

it is pretty explicit in the quran. I do follow the prophet's sunnah- but are we not allowed to ask questions? or ask for explanations when we see a discrepancy in our actions and what is written in the quran. This is the beauty of islam... that we have answers for our actions... especially when quran indicates one thing and our actions indicate another.

    it was just a question.

  • asalm o lakium ive read a lot of translations pf the quran they state that you should wash your feet and wipe your head i think you may be getting confused as to what we are being told to wipe and what we are being told to wipe

    aslam o lakium

  • it seems that the person who posted this video prefers to not discuss the subject of wudo, and I respect that. Nonetheless, I will simply clarify that i was NOT refering to the translations... I was refering to what the ACTUAL ARABIC writting says " WIPE A & B and WASH C & D". Read the arabic my dear brother. Its just been a question on my mind and I would like to find some reasoning. Send me personal message if it is regarding this topic. I would like to respect wishes of "MuslymaZ".

  • no authentic hadith contradicts with the quran.

  • therefore we should wipe our feet rather than wash

    Quran 5:6

  • I think we should stop debating on things that are already clear in the Islamic Fiqh . Only scholars can pretend give interpretations to this issue.

  • i agree... i just posed a question, thank you to all who replied.

btw- i just simply responded to those who hit reply on my comment. nothing extra.

    salam

  • theree is no sheik and sudny in reality cuz ALLAH (SWT) has told us never to be divided

  • Assalam O Aliakum

Well Every one we all are Muslims and we are arguing with each other why

First thing that none of us know, how our prophet PBUH prayed, coz non of us seen him (PBUH)

Second, In QURAN it is mentioned OFFER SALAH AND PAY ZAKAT, but no where it is mentioned how to offer the SALAH,

According to Hadith Our prophet (PBUH) said , Offer salah the way u see me.

Now i am confused my self, Non of 4 IMAMS have seen him offering prayer.

Which one should i go with.

    Very very confused

  • wa'Alaykum assalam wa rahmatuLah

How can we be confused when we observe the heritage left by Our Prophet (saws) . A muslim is supposed to follow the Qur'an and the sunna which is based on ahadiths . Scholars advised us to follow the sahih (authentic)ones . These ahadiths enable us to follow the prophet correctly ,but each imam has his way to interpret the ahadiths ,they all studied them deeply so none of them is better than the other,it's up to u to choose . And Allah knows best !

  • Brother

I understand you very well, but the point is which one should we choose, why shouldn't all Muslims follow a single way, in that case no one will get confused, As far as i am concern we are no that much able to choose, so we should pray to ALLAH that put us on straight path and teach us the best way by you Rahma... So IN SHA ALLAH . We will be on right path.

I am saying this because we don't have much knowledge to choose on our own selves

    Jazak'Allah Khair

  • wa iyyak. Anyways as you 've said without knowledge its kinda difficult to make the difference but be aware that the more you learn and the more you reach the Truth ,bi idniLah ta'ala

    May Allah be with us.Ameen!

  • Theres only one way to to follow how can u be confused is the way of the prophet {scw} and the Sahabiis, and if ur confused you should learn knoweledge for your own sake so u wouldn't have to ask people. jazkha alla

  • Sister or brother how the prophet {SCW}prayed it was passed to the sahabiis the people that was around the nabi scw that time also they passed down to tabiciin tabiciin and the wrote down in the hadith books thats how theey know.

  • Those who are seeking to obey the Prophet Muhammed and follow his steps have it easy because they got the book that God promised to preserve, the BEST HADITH (Quran). Obeying the prophet Muhammed is to follow his message, the Quran and Quran alone. When the prophet Muhammed died he left behind ONLY one book completely written and preserved, i.e. the Quran. He never left any Hadith books. These books are the innovations added to Islam about 150-200 years after the death of the prophet.

  • So according to you scholars are in the wrong path right ... subhAN ALLAH

  • Assalam O Aliakum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatoho.

I read the book of prophet's (PBUH) prayer by Sheikh Nassruddin Al Bani. and i understood how to offer according to our prophet (PBUH) but i was not doing it like this before . i was doing the other way . putting my hand under the naval and not getting up my name when bowing to ROHOAW. Now i am confused that which way should i go with .

May Allah Take me on the Right Path .

    Ameen .

    Very Confused

  • Wa'alaykum assalamu wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuh,be patience, the way shows by albani r.a is the closest and dont worry about doing the other way before, just continue learning, may Allah bless us all. ameen.

  • I dont agree that you can call other methods of prayer wrong. There are many hadith in Bukhari & Muslim that say the Prophet (saw) used to do different from the way you stated in your video. The way you said is right, but the other ways said in Bukhari & Muslim are right too!

  • Allah knows best , this video is an accurate description of the prophet's way of prayin and different options are mentionned . PLus this video is based on Sheikh ALbani 's work(rahimahu Allah ta'ala) so it is closer to the sunnah of Our Prophet(saws) , wa Allahu a'lam.

  • my understanding is that albani ra works based on what is in Bukhari&Muslim, so i think its the closest, and we should be able to differentiate right?

  • can you show of the hadiths ,if you produce any hadith from authentic resource not from your ruhban wa ahbaar ,then inshALLAH before the sunrises we will adopt that method(sunnah)also.

    inshaALLAH

  • There is an authentic narration from the Prophet (SAWS), when he said that your differences are a blessing. And alhumdulilah this has proved true over our 1400 year history in our minor differences in fiqh. As long as one prays according to one of the four major madhabs, then one cannot go wrong, the different ways people pray are all based on the Sunnah. And Allah knows best.

  • Alhamdulilah very good

  • asalaam aleykum warahmtullaahi wa Barakaatuhu

In sha Allaah make with english translation, it is a very good video.

    Jazaaka Allaah khieran

wa salaam aleykum warahmtullaahi ta'ala wa barakaatuh

wa JazakAllahu khayr , Inch'Allah I will try to make a translation even though it won't be as perfect as arabic for the description :)

may Allah be with u , wasLm wr wb
