When I compare what I saw in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Philadelphia that shows a lot. Chattanooga was improved through donations from the local businesses. Philadelphia was cleaned through tax money. Philadelphia has been taken over by Nat. of Islam and is falling apart again. Chattanooga lost one large business but gained a new one and is still a very nice town.

@animefanzmg First, I'll point out that I live in Germany and we don't get Fox news. Except limited shows posted on the Net. I'm stuck with nothing but Pro Obama stuff from CNN. "Robin Hood Tax" is what I witness in Germany. The higher my wage gets the higher the percentage of tax the govt. takes. Maybe you should live that tax of going from paying 30% to 50% and having less net income for more work.
Encourging companies to do good things for communities with write-offs are good, people doing what they can for their country on their own is good and Obama certainly encourages both. However creating jobs while doing things that help the country is also very good, it also makes good economic sense in an economy with high unemployment. Its Keynesian economics which has been a cornerstone of American economics since the depression. Our country has literally been built with this.
@animefanzmg Also these high corporate taxes Obama and other Democrat controlled states like Ohio chase companies away. I watched how when Gerhard Schroeder was Chancellor of Germany, he had very high Corporate taxes and drove his country from 5.5% unemployment to almost 11% in just three years. Obama is beating Shroeder's record and still blaming Bush. Angelika Merkel cut the corporate tax and within 9 months knocked the unemployment down to 6%. She also didn't cry about Shroeder.
Really i'm not equipped to compare the mentioned German economic downfall and recovery and compare it with our own. That would take alot of study and research and a larger economics background than i have. But i do know that we are a different country than Germany and that we have had bigger corporate taxes in the past than currently even during growth periods. There is a huge range of economic policies that can result in un-inflated growth.
@animefanzmg Lets put it simple. You have no room to talk with this statement. All of Europe is currently falling. I work in the economic section of my company, I have to deal with how we keep up in Not only Germany, but the United States and in other countries. Saying, "It is a different country" would get you fired from where I work. I can use how Ireland received 2000 jobs from IBM and are now losing them, as an example. It was different from the three countries who lost jobs to Ireland.

You will see the taxes Obama is trying to push are, "Killing our country." Texas, Michican, and Ohio. Which state has jobs? Which state had the largest majority of people LEAVING the State? Look at how long the Democrates ruled each state and which state has the Republican majority and the richest counties in jobs.

(Some schools did and I found one instance of Photo’s of Obama being projected on the wall while students recited the pledge, and this was not done for Bush.) Plus, while living in Germany, I've learned, these actions resemble the Socialist Party that took over in the 30’s. The people were pledging to a single person.

When I compare what I saw in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Philadelphia that shows a lot. Chattanooga was improved through donations from the local businesses. Philadelphia was cleaned through tax money. Philadelphia has been taken over by Nat. of Islam and is falling apart again. Chattanooga lost one large business but gained a new one and is still a very nice town.

"Robin Hood Tax" is what I witness in Germany. The higher my wage gets the higher the percentage of tax the govt. takes. Maybe you should live that tax of going from paying 30% to 50% and having less net income for more work.

Encourging companies to do good things for communities with write-offs are good, people doing what they can for their country on their own is good and Obama certainly encourages both. However creating jobs while doing things that help the country is also very good, it also makes good economic sense in an economy with high unemployment. Its Keynesian economics which has been a cornerstone of American economics since the depression. Our country has literally been built with this.

I watched how when Gerhard Schroeder was Chancellor of Germany, he had very high Corporate taxes and drove his country from 5.5% unemployment to almost 11% in just three years. Obama is beating Shroeder's record and still blaming Bush. Angelika Merkel cut the corporate tax and within 9 months knocked the unemployment down to 6%. She also didn't cry about Shroeder.

Really i'm not equipped to compare the mentioned German economic downfall and recovery and compare it with our own. That would take alot of study and research and a larger economics background than i have. But i do know that we are a different country than Germany and that we have had bigger corporate taxes in the past than currently even during growth periods. There is a huge range of economic policies that can result in un-inflated growth.

I work in the economic section of my company, I have to deal with how we keep up in Not only Germany, but the United States and in other countries. Saying, "It is a different country" would get you fired from where I work. I can use how Ireland received 2000 jobs from IBM and are now losing them, as an example. It was different from the three countries who lost jobs to Ireland.

You will see the taxes Obama is trying to push are, "Killing our country." Texas, Michican, and Ohio. Which state has jobs? Which state had the largest majority of people LEAVING the State? Look at how long the Democrates ruled each state and which state has the Republican majority and the richest counties in jobs.

Also don't just pick and choose examples and claim it is the only way, there are alot of blue states that are doing well and alot of red states doing poorly, and alot of reasons for each states to have its economic situation. Don't be simple.
look at subsaharan africa, they mostly have extreme supply side economies, but are universally doing horribly. does that mean supply side economics are bad, no, there are tons of reasons for that situation.

The fact is Texas now has jobs, since it started "Cutting Taxes." Florida is an example of a "Poor red state" because Governor Crist is in reality a RINO. Now get back to reality and answer my question. Look up Ohio who was doing good when it was a "Red Stat" but now with nothing but Democrates in Charge it is suffering.

Many Subsaharan African countries got in debt and applied for international help paying the debt back. These basically contained conditions including extreme focus on supply side economics, but ignore infrastructure and human development. Its an example of supply side economics being a worst case scenario. However it doesn't prove that supply side economics are universally bad.
Your state argument = Bush in power bad economy, so Obama, blue like Clinton(the good times)=recovery.

SO the economy bush ran into wasn't helped by having a democrat build it up before hand and Obama wasn't screwed by a collapse of a laissez faire system.

But in order to take an extreme stance you need to ignore counterexamples and good but different perspectives. "Obama is killing America" is not easy to support intelligently.
Are you going to say that having a conservative state government is the deciding factor, when state governments are notoriously weak at curbing a recession? Texas has the same unemployment as NY.

Really what i mean by notoriously weak is that they cannot implement fiscal policy like govt spending like the federal govt can to curb a recession, since they are required a balanced budget. Not sure how far my previous statement reaches so i'll clarify what i mean.
There are alot of reasons for one area to be doing better than another. Texas having oil and maintaining high property values for example. If all red states were doing better you'd have something.

The Blue States I pointed at were very prosperous BEFORE Govs. who support extreme Union Policy over common sense. So, you still haven’t proven your point. Texas is now in a good recovery after finally getting their Democrats out.

@animefanzmg The main thing I was pointing at and is true in this video is not only is it scary watching schools post a video saying to be a servant to the president. (Some schools did and I found one instance of Photo’s of Obama being projected on the wall while students recited the pledge, and this was not done for Bush.) Plus, while living in Germany, I've learned, these actions resemble the Socialist Party that took over in the 30’s. The people were pledging to a single person.
