Its too simple to just say its a combination of instant messenger, chat, and email. You can plan a trip together using map gadgets, instantly share videos, embed videos, pictures, links, or just play a game trough a wave.

Wave is actually simple, just so everyone knows. kinda FYI. Really simple and easy to get up and running instantly.

i finally got to be a part of google wave and it is simply ingenious. This is going to set google even further ahead of their competition than ever before.

This, even though it will be used for my business, is also a great tool just for friends and everything. It is a quick way to have an in depth conversation (like instant messenger) while bringing new features to it.

Google Wave has alot of features from what I have checked out, but its a bit....disorganized. Basically all these features are thrown at you at once. But I see ALOT of potential for this. I have yet to see its usefullness is real life situations though. Then again, I just got invited today.

I'm using Google Wave for the first time,and I really don't think this is going to kill email and IM, at least not for a long time. Average Joe won't understand how to use this. Seems like wave will be popular only amongst the geeks

I can see the benefits of this in a business environment. Everyone being able to see, edit and add to a document, instead of having a massive chain email forwarding/replaying to everyone.

Yep, but the problem for Google here is that their main target is not the corporate world, their main target are the common people (students, teenagers, housewives, truckers, etc). So I think it's unrealistic to say that this think is going to kill email and IM in the near future. Sorry Google, i like u, but your Wave is too difficult too understand.

Honestly, I don't think this is more difficult than email or instant messaging to be honest. I've been using it for a couple of hours now and the basics at least are very easy to understand. I'm by no means a rocket scientist, so I doubt this will be too difficult for anyone who uses a computer occasionally.
