I distinctly remember all pieces only being able to attack in the same directions they're allowed to move in.

Ergo, Pawns attacking straight forward.

That is true for all pieces...except for Pawns, which can only move forwards and only attack diagonally. That's why the computer moved the blue Knight at 1:25, it was in danger from being taken by the Pawn.

yeah, this was one of the best concepts and games in this genre, but one game took too long. I wish someone would redo this, modern and faster, but the same simple concept. With tons of cut scenes, since the game itself is so simple, they could really jam it with replayability, and different themed characters and stuff like that.

And 3DO is still one of my favorite systems. Even AFTER they went bankrupt!! Cuz the games costed like $5!!

Hell, i just built my own PC witha $500 GTX 295 videocard, and $200 Nvidia 3D Vision Glasses. Call me crazy, call me what you like.

Great game, but you can't play chess for shit (assuming you're red and it's not an AI). First you pass up a free kill at his knight with a bishop then you sacrifice a rook to take a pawn.

I hope you were just trying to showcase the battle animations cause... gah.

When my Dad bought Battle Chess it was in a pack with I think four other games. I can't remember any of those, but my Dad said that they were real cheap.

My dad also has a lot of flying games that I can't remember what they were called.

There was one where you had to protect this red truck from an enemy. There was another one that went from state to state. I think the first state was New Mexico. The narrator had a really deep creepy voice.
