I had to read The Crucible for school. It's set up like a play and it's about the Salem Witch Trials and how these girls claimed they were witches when really they made it all up. Don't read it. Hahah it's hard to follow the way it's set up and it ends and you're like "...what?!" Haha I don't recommend it.

About Nicholas Sparks, I loveee him. :) I read a Walk to Remember, but since I saw the movie like four times before i read the book, I didn't cry. I wish I could have. I like to cry... I'm weird hahaha. If you haven't, you should read The Last Song. Oh!! And also if you haven't, there's this author with two really good books that are a little similar to Sarah Dessen. Simone Elkeles. :D

LOVE Sarah Dessen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've read so many of her books! i love J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter as well.... ..i also just read Alyson Noel's Immortal Series.. its incredibly addicting. REALLY LOVED it and awaiting the new one.. i would reccomend them. or any Alyson Noel books :-) I've also ready the Last Song. its really really good. alot different from the movie though. and yes the cricible is a play lol.. i read it in high school. Hope you feel better!!

@singerchick93 Oh my gosh, I don't even know! Well, her most popular is My Sister's Keeper because it's a movie now. There's Nineteen Minutes, Keeping Faith, Handle with Care, Plain Truth.. I love them all! haha. They are all ready eye opening and they make you think. Some people think they are kind of hard to read though because she skips back and fourth in time a lot but it always says the date/year so if you pay attention you'll be okay.

The Crucible is indeed a play. Usually people read it in high school. I read it my junior year, I believe. It's about the Salem Witch Trials. Its actually very interesting! Very dramatic, but good. I would recommend the movie though. It is in fact way easier to understand.

Ive read A Walk To Remember and The Crucible. I found A Walk To Remember a lot harder to read than Nicholas Sparks' other books dont know why. Think his best is The Last Song.

As for The Crucible, its just a little wierd, i struggled a lot. The film is easier to follow i found. Good luck with it.

I am also currently reading The Alchemist and your right it is hard to explain. but it is good.
