Just a referee's viewpoint here. You know what that looked like to me? The back referee making a call. That's it. The referee wouldn't have seen the linesman stopping the player. He puts his arm up, and at that point, it's called. You can't put your arm down.

The feeling you get when your arm is up and you know you've goofed is pretty awful. But there's nothing you can do about it except say "Sorry, I fucked up. Now go sit your two."

Just relax. He made a mistake. He knows it, I promise.

Plus, the puck was a few feet in front of the guy and no contact was made until he fell over because the ref didn't get out of the way. Definitely not interference or any other penalty.

@mikeeey47 They have very few and I know that from experience from going to the games. Every game I've been to, I'd say maybe 25 to 30% of the fans were panther fans. Hockey isn't popular down there at all and I'm surprise they still have a team because they have to be losing tons of money.
