Try using a syringe it works much better. you have to open the beak and stick it down they're throat.

i feed my baby pigeons with a suringe and it does the job fine. because with every feeding session i know the baby is getting fed. it just looks like it's not getting enough food?

@o0CaoCao0o it's weird. i raised my pegions on rice alone lol they soon left and every night they would come back at night and wait for me to open the door on the staircase and they would fly in and sleep. then id let them out the next day.

I am feeding my orphaned pigeon a mixture of wild bird seed and oatmeal that I have blended to powder consistensy, then I mix it with warm water and feed it in the way that you have suggested.  Is that OK?

Oh, and then I check the crop and it's full. Seems to go down quite quickly so I'm doing this on a 2 hourlt basis.

You might just want to go pick up some baby bird starter meal from a local pet store. I got mine at Fish'n'chirps for $6/lb.

i got a promblem i was in my room it was hot then i look down and i saw 2 eggs i got one but i still left it where it was when years past they hatch and the mom was feeding see looked very weak i was about to get one but the mom had to keep it warm so evey thime it crys i always lok at them but sooner i wiil get it <3

u dont seem to be doing a good job. You need to make the formula a little more runny and you have to tilt the feeder downwards so the formula flows out. U r holding the feeding upwards, the formula is not flowing out!! ur pigeon's crop doesn't even look full and round. it's not eating enough.

call your local wildlife center....others are right about not feeding bread. In a pinch I feed soupy baby oatmeal cereal. But do call, baby birds are all different/complicated in diet needs:)

we found a baby pigon the other day and i called it tim it is only a baby nd it dose not kno how to eat so we have been force feeding it worms and damp wet bread so if eney one knows wat ot do food wise plz anser

call the wild bird fund 646-306-2862 or animal general

212-501-9600 and ask for help from either Rita or Gloria - they can talk to you over the phone and give you instructions - I'm not sure pigeons eat worms and damp bread isn't great because it can give them yeast problems. They are in NYC but no matter where you are - you talk to them, they are pigeon experts. If you live in NYC they are located on 88th and Columbus - you can bring your baby in for a check up.

We use wonder bread roll it into tiny little ball open the little guys mouth gently..and drop em in there ;0) after that give em some water.
