That's the point of the video - Both sides are cruel and evil. Though the Fire Nation was certainly wrong, many of the people were misled, and people in the Earth Kingdom were certainly capable of being evil too (Jet and his gang in season one, Ba Sing Se, etc.)

At first I was thinking the roles should be reversed because of color imagery (Water Tribe calling the Fire Nation "hellish red", and Fire calling the blue water tribe pale - also goes with snow) But I'm starting to love the irony that the Fire Nation calls them hellish when themselves are red.
