Ok first of all if ya had real dreads you never would have been able to brush them out. Not even after a month! Second dreads are permanent it is bad luck to brush them or cut them out. If you want them its a seriouse decision, cause once you do its for LIFE.

A little advice if you want your curls back: Get a spray bottle fill 1/10 parts with vinigar, 9/10 parts with water. Spray it in your hair when you are bathing, and let it set for a few minutes and rinse : D It made WONDERS for my curls. Difinded them sooo much more.

I totally understand how bummed out you feel. I had about 12 dreads for 18 months and when I took them out last April. I did get sad and a little devastated, and like you I missed my curly hair. I ended up cutting most of them off and I kept 3(after cutting them). And right about now I just want them back and honestly considering to revive them.
