A lion would normally kill something within a minute from the animal living naturally in the wild. Also humans technically don't need to eat meat, just it tastes nice.

Also, I think you are confusing meat with candy. Yes, we eat meat because it tastes good, but we have also evolved to eat it. Thats why vegetarians have to double/triple their food intake. Eating meat is easier.

Well Taco Bell don't directly kill animals they get it from a farm like most places. Put it this way, if tons of people all by a vegetarian sandwich from Taco Bell, then the demand goes up for vegetarian sandwhiches, therefore they make more, then say people don't buy meat, the demand drops and they stop selling meat.
@IIproductionsII Let me explain how Taco Bell works. Taco Bell takes some of the money they earn and give it to farms. Those farms use that money to buy animals and kill them, and then they sell them to places like Taco Bell. If your fictional world in which more people buy veggie meals than meat, then yes, the demand for meat would decline. This is not, and will most likely never be the case. And if one day it is, some meat will still be served. So money will still be used to kill animals.

Trust me, I do hear the points in Onision's ramblings. They almost make sense. But, thanks to standard grade history, I know to question Onision's sources. Have you seen his sources? One word - bias.

@ScotVideos Well we force breed animals, and feed them with drugs to make them grow faster and become fatter, also they're often cramped together for long truck and ship journeys which can't be too good. A lion would normally kill something within a minute from the animal living naturally in the wild. Also humans technically don't need to eat meat, just it tastes nice.
Onision takes things too far with all his mass number of insults, but he does make some good points.

@IIproductionsII Not all animals are killed that way. Some are killed quickly. In Britain, we have regulations to prevent cruelty such as this. Sometimes it does happen, and the public finds out, and people (or at least I) stop eating at that place, or buying their products.
Also, I think you are confusing meat with candy. Yes, we eat meat because it tastes good, but we have also evolved to eat it. Thats why vegetarians have to double/triple their food intake. Eating meat is easier.

Yes humans have evolved to eat meat, but I can equally say we evolved to eat fruit and vegetables. Meat isn't good for anything other than taste, there's nothing from meat that you can't get from a vegetarian diet, including B12, protein etc.
How the hell is buying a vegetarian sandwhich giving money to go towards killing animals? Unless you buy a meat product, then there's no demand for the meat.

Well Taco Bell don't directly kill animals they get it from a farm like most places. Put it this way, if tons of people all by a vegetarian sandwich from Taco Bell, then the demand goes up for vegetarian sandwhiches, therefore they make more, then say people don't buy meat, the demand drops and they stop selling meat.

@IIproductionsII Let me explain how Taco Bell works. Taco Bell takes some of the money they earn and give it to farms. Those farms use that money to buy animals and kill them, and then they sell them to places like Taco Bell. If your fictional world in which more people buy veggie meals than meat, then yes, the demand for meat would decline. This is not, and will most likely never be the case. And if one day it is, some meat will still be served. So money will still be used to kill animals.

@ScotVideos It doesn't matter, the most vegetarian meals are bought the better, the fact that they put vegetarian sandwiches on the menu clearly shows that there is some demand for them. I'm all about demand, with your stupid logic you could say that no vegetarian should give money to anybody, because the person may buy some chicken wings with that money. The more people buy vegetarian meals, the more that are made.
B12 can be found in breakfast cereals. I'm not sure about vegetables.

And yeah, maybe my logic does seem stupid, but if I give my money to one of my friends, they can spend it on anything - toys, books, or meat. If you give your money to Taco Bell or McDonalds, there is a much higher likelihood that it will be spent on meat.
Also, if B12 is found in cereals, then you can get it whether you're vegetarian or not. So I'm unsure if that counts.

They need money for profits, to pay staff, electricity, gas there's tons of things they use money for. All that really matters is not taking part in the demand for meat, and the more people that do that..the less the ammount of animals that are killed.
