Dude drunk driving is easy, you just need to practice it for awhile. Start off with 2 beers and see how well it goes. It also helps to have a friend or child in the car to let you know if you swerve because if you're blackout you might not notice.

My husband died almost 4 years ago caused by his Alcohol level didnt had time to stop him from driving that night he had a passenger with him that only suffer scraches,and my kids lost their dad.Its been very difficult to pass that bad night.

omg I was involved in an accident at the begging of this week, and I think the driver was drunk. One minute me and my 2 younger brothers are in the car at a STOP sign and out of nowhere we are rammed from the back by a guy that appeared to be drunk. The car's back bumper fell off and my two younger brothers were in the back seat thank god we are all okay as for the guy they arrested him

I live in sweden. There are 20 000 drunk drivers on the streets each day in sweden..Don´t know about america but if it is the same ratio we will end up in about 6 million people that drive drunk each day...I am pretty convinced that 20-30 percent of all people with a driv-license have or will drive drunk sometime in their life...

A friend and I rode around drunk a few years ago and wrapped the truck around a telephone pole. Many surgeries, several broken bones, and a few missing organs later, we figured out that we learned the easy way.
My absolute deepest condolences to the friends and families of the people that learned the hard way. And definitely to the friends and families of the people who never even made that mistake in the first place.

In March of 1999 my sister was riding on the back of a motorcycle they were both had been drinking and were T-boned by a drunk driver, she is in a wheelchair for the rest of her life, then on June of 1999 I lost my young son to a drunk driver riding his new bicycle he had just gotten for his birthday in may. He was murdered by a drunk driver doing over 80 mph while he was riding hi new bicycle. RIP baby Mommy misses you.
I lost my husband, one of the most kind, gentle men in the world last October because of a repeat drunk driver. Kenneth was on his way in early morning to a golf tournament and hit from behind at a stop light by a man who had been drinking all night. This is a torment that we have to live daily and getting ready to go through a trial because the man left the scene, changed his appearance and lied to police. Laws on drunk driving need to change. This man should never have been on the street.

I'm a recovering alcoholic (7 months) and drove halfway home drunk before. When I realized what I had done, I pulled to the side of the freeway and called two of my friends to come get me and drive my car home.
I'm glad I did that. If I hadn't, who knows what would've happened? I could never forgive myself if I had hurt or killed someone that night.
I didn't go sober until a year later, but I NEVER drove drunk again and never will!!!

@armyboy155 No forced AA doesn't work. But the ignition interlock sure as hell puts a dent in the drinking and driving. Not a bad thing. I don't drink anymore BTW, I can't afford it. You are automatically guilty when the cop says he smells the presense of "alcohol". You wind up in the back of a cop car headed for jail when the asshole at fault drives home scott free with maybe a careless driving ticket. Then the fun really starts. My poor 73YO Dad has just been banned from driving after hitting a young woman & failing a breathalyser test.
It’s ridiculous- for years he’s driven back from the pub with no ill-effects, but because some stupid girl on a hen night runs out in front of him, HE now suffers. The trial was a joke- all the judge was interested in was hearing the ‘victim’s’ mother weeping about her “beautiful girl” being “taken away”.
Now I have to do all his shopping runs, which is VERY inconvenient.

If you refuse a request though you will most certainly be arrested on suspicion of DUI. There are civil implied consent consequences for that as well. My son lost his girlfriend to a drunk driver when they were 18. Doing the right thing, got in a taxi heading home from celebrating what was to have been her 18th birthday. A re-offending DRUNK driver slammed into the taxi, thus causing injury & her death.......THAT WAS THE DAY MY SONS EYES DIED! WINDOWS TO THE SOUL,... THEY SAY. He is 38 now and still has those sad eyes, a constant reminder of how a DRUNK DRIVER changed many a life on that day.

Im a Firefighter/EMT and i am asking pls do not drink and drive and pay attention at the wheel. Its not easy to be the person to have to pick of the pieces, having to be the one to cut you out of the car. The pain we feel when we witness a young life gone to waste because of a stupid mistake. The horror that grabs us when a cars rolled and all occupants including the baby in the car seat are ejected some laying in the road some in the fence. Save us from that horror.

One of them was a drunk driving accident full of other highschoolers and i knew every single one of them. I was 17 at the time, and the sight of a blood smeared door charred in my head. They all lived, but i will never forget it. Going 60mph on a dirt road that went off the road, and tumbled somewhere around 300 ft farther. I will never drink and drive. I wish people could see that

My best friend called me (drunk) and said he was gonna come get me. I had told him not to get in the car and to stay in the woods till morning and i'd come get him then, and he didnt listen. i got a call about an hour later from his brother saying to come to the ICU. his dad came up to me and told me what had happened. he had passed out while driving, hit a hill and his car flipped 12 times. after a week, his parents pulled the plug. omg I was involved in an accident at the begging of this week, and I think the driver was drunk. One minute me and my 2 younger brothers are in the car at a STOP sign and out of nowhere we are rammed from the back by a guy that appeared to be drunk. The car's back bumper fell off and my two younger brothers were in the back seat thank god we are all okay as for the guy they arrested him

this made me cry so much!!! my cousin was killed 3 years ago by an underage drunk driver. she had barely turned 20, her name was Ondrea Alvarez. There are 20 000 drunk drivers on the streets each day in sweden..Don´t know about america but if it is the same ratio we will end up in about 6 million people that drive drunk each day...I am pretty convinced that 20-30 percent of all people with a driv-license have or will drive drunk sometime in their life...

to PalLLf**kall Although I too have been saddened by some of our lesser police officers (and believe me I got burned) others are wonderful friends doing heroic work. As for MADD, I was what you term a MADD mother who "whined" about her son being killed. My audience was never those charged with impaired driving -just those who were young and impressionable and old and foolish. Losing a child is not something anyone would ever do to have the "privilege" of whining at you or yours. Grow up.

A friend and I rode around drunk a few years ago and wrapped the truck around a telephone pole. Many surgeries, several broken bones, and a few missing organs later, we figured out that we learned the easy way.
My absolute deepest condolences to the friends and families of the people that learned the hard way. And definitely to the friends and families of the people who never even made that mistake in the first place.

man looking at all of these comments has made me relise something. I need to qwit drinking! period. Because i know im going to drive if i drink, because im an alcoholic! People that drink have to go places too... I'm so so tired of sitting at the house just being drunk, and i cant go anywhere, thats why i need to quit, so i can get out in this world, and not end my life and or someone elses while drinking and driving.
By the way i got a dui two weeks ago, maybe this is a lesson, hopefully :(

Once I start drinking I can't stop drinking, and if my car key is on me and my thinking has gone completely out the window it'd be tempting. I think we both need to get off drink completely. My mum was an alcoholic and died from liver poisoning, so I know how evil it can be.

In March of 1999 my sister was riding on the back of a motorcycle they were both had been drinking and were T-boned by a drunk driver, she is in a wheelchair for the rest of her life, then on June of 1999 I lost my young son to a drunk driver riding his new bicycle he had just gotten for his birthday in may. He was murdered by a drunk driver doing over 80 mph while he was riding hi new bicycle. RIP baby Mommy misses you.

I lost my husband, one of the most kind, gentle men in the world last October because of a repeat drunk driver. Kenneth was on his way in early morning to a golf tournament and hit from behind at a stop light by a man who had been drinking all night. This is a torment that we have to live daily and getting ready to go through a trial because the man left the scene, changed his appearance and lied to police. Laws on drunk driving need to change. This man should never have been on the street.

I'm a recovering alcoholic (7 months) and drove halfway home drunk before. When I realized what I had done, I pulled to the side of the freeway and called two of my friends to come get me and drive my car home.
I'm glad I did that. If I hadn't, who knows what would've happened? I could never forgive myself if I had hurt or killed someone that night.
I didn't go sober until a year later, but I NEVER drove drunk again and never will!!!

@armyboy155 No forced AA doesn't work. But the ignition interlock sure as hell puts a dent in the drinking and driving. Not a bad thing. I don't drink anymore BTW, I can't afford it. I got out of the bar habit 15 years ago. Just trying to help save someone the BS of the system. They can learn from my experience, or not. Either way is fine with me.

@paLLfuckaLL Good tips. Only problem is when some idiot runs a stop sign and T-Bones you (happened to me) and you've had 3-4 beers. You are automatically guilty when the cop says he smells the presense of "alcohol". You wind up in the back of a cop car headed for jail when the asshole at fault drives home scott free with maybe a careless driving ticket. Then the fun really starts. Might want to just drink at home or get a ride if you've had anything to drink...

My poor 73YO Dad has just been banned from driving after hitting a young woman & failing a breathalyser test.
It’s ridiculous- for years he’s driven back from the pub with no ill-effects, but because some stupid girl on a hen night runs out in front of him, HE now suffers. The trial was a joke- all the judge was interested in was hearing the ‘victim’s’ mother weeping about her “beautiful girl” being “taken away”.
Now I have to do all his shopping runs, which is VERY inconvenient.

@armyboy155 Not true Bud. They will ASK if you are willing to consent. You have a right to not incriminate yourself. They can only compel tests in cases of serious injury. If you refuse a request though you will most certainly be arrested on suspicion of DUI. There are civil implied consent consequences for that as well. The DUI laws are not constitutional but hey with the lobbying power of MADD to buy lawmakers, who needs to consider your rights???

My son lost his girlfriend to a drunk driver when they were 18. Doing the right thing, got in a taxi heading home from celebrating what was to have been her 18th birthday. A re-offending DRUNK driver slammed into the taxi, thus causing injury & her death.......THAT WAS THE DAY MY SONS EYES DIED! WINDOWS TO THE SOUL,... THEY SAY. He is 38 now and still has those sad eyes, a constant reminder of how a DRUNK DRIVER changed many a life on that day.

I love our justice system, we can't do cruel and unusual punishment to the Offender even if his/she killed someone in a Cruel or Unusual way.

Im a Firefighter/EMT and i am asking pls do not drink and drive and pay attention at the wheel. Its not easy to be the person to have to pick of the pieces, having to be the one to cut you out of the car. The pain we feel when we witness a young life gone to waste because of a stupid mistake. The horror that grabs us when a cars rolled and all occupants including the baby in the car seat are ejected some laying in the road some in the fence. Save us from that horror.

@shaun6906 I am 18 y/o and a volunteer firefighter. I joined in 2009 and since then i have been on two car crashes. One of them was a drunk driving accident full of other highschoolers and i knew every single one of them. I was 17 at the time, and the sight of a blood smeared door charred in my head. They all lived, but i will never forget it. Going 60mph on a dirt road that went off the road, and tumbled somewhere around 300 ft farther. I will never drink and drive. I wish people could see that

@tspragg1 Its a sad reality that we (firefighters) face every day and the worst part about it is that its completely preventable. When you drink and drive its no longer an "accident". I am always glad to hear younger people entering the fire service however its a shame you had to witness such life and mind altering events. Stay safe out there!

I cant imagine the pain of losing a loved one who was just supposed to be going to town or coming back from a ball game with the family. I have seen many such instances and yes they harden your heart but you cant help but feel for those who were the innocent victims. I do it for them.

I agree people need to stop driving drunk and schools need to show students what can happen if you drive drunk. My 7th grade teacher actually lost one of his older brothers by a drunk driver and they were really close because their parents were also getting a deforse at the same time.

My best friend called me (drunk) and said he was gonna come get me. I had told him not to get in the car and to stay in the woods till morning and i'd come get him then, and he didnt listen. i got a call about an hour later from his brother saying to come to the ICU. his dad came up to me and told me what had happened. he had passed out while driving, hit a hill and his car flipped 12 times. after a week, his parents pulled the plug. We lost Zach on July 23rd. Don't drink and drive. RIP ZTT <3
