I want to warp a track that has an intro without any beats. I know when warping I have to set the play head start point at the first beat for accuracy then set 1.1.1 at the point. I want the song to be warped but I want to be able to drop it in at the beginning of the track before the beat starts and have it in time. What is the most effective way to warp to accomplish this? anyone? thanks.
When I go to Preferences>Audio>Output Config, I only see "1 & 2 mono" and "1/2 stereo" . I imagine this is because I don't have the proper soundcard. Which are some soundcards that would do the trick?
you might wanna beatmap your tunes before you load them to ableton in acid pro and set all your house tracks to 128 or 130 which i prefer but thats just my opinion makes your mixing a whole lot easier , you can say its cheatin but so what , i can mix on vinyl , cdj, traktor , etc , makes no odds you still need to know were to drop ya next track , what to play read the dancefloor , theres alot more to it then gettin the speeds so if someone says you cheat coz its mapped then tell them to do 1 ha
Does anyone know if i can use an audio splitter cable to pre hear using headphones? So i'd have my headphones plugged into one socket and and a jack to jack cable plugged into the other, going from the splitter cable on my laptop to my PC, so i get the audio from my laptop playing through my PC? That way i've got the equivalent of 2 soundcards. You can set an option for this in Virtual DJ so was just wondering i i can with Abelton.
@Beatlicious91 yeah, you select "ext out" for audio output and select your left channel for room output, right for headphone output. You need some messy cabling to do so, you can also just buy a really cheap (like $10.00) USB sound card for your cue channel in order to practice.
I don't blame you for not knowing the Circle of 5ths. I just like this simple tutorial you put up because there's a lot of videos with people who can't speak English well, and this is the only video I liked.
@SaN3r16 you need a headphone splitter, or else cueing doesnt even work because theres only one way to listen to it, in your headphones or over speakers.
I'm running into a problem with cueing. I have an audio interface and i set the cue out just as you did to 3/4 and the master out to 1/2 but when i cue a track it is still played into the speakers and my headphones. help?
you know, alot of people would probably bag on these tutorials because they would assume that people know this basic information already, but I'm just starting out and I found it very helpful as far as organization goes. Are there any plans for tutorials on assigning triggers to the pads and faders/knobs for a midi controller? I have an MPK49 and have been having some problems assigning the triggers where I want them.

90 and 180 might actually work, what with 90 being exactly half of 180.

@LightWillIgniteUsAll
Of course it works. Hip hop and drum and bass mix because drum n bass is twice the speed.
Ayanami0001 7 months ago
@LightWillIgniteUsAll u can do that by mixing Hip Hop thats is about on 80-90 To Drum And Bass that is double Speed 160-180 good luck :D
