  • All music needs a little more Dr Dan Yemin

  • Fueled By Ramen sucks now.

  • Hey folks! Anyone interested in Lifetime should check out an interview I did a couple days ago with their drummer, Scott Golley. Those wondering about the Fueled by Ramen gig might want to check out the interview, being as I ask specifically about the whole deal. :) Anyone who's cool enough to check it out, feel free to rate and comment! And for those lucky enough to have tickets to their shows this weekend, have fun! I'll see ya in Philly! Google "Pop-Break" and "Lifetime" for the story!

  • why are there dislikes on the video?

man I wish i got a ticket for their show in january.

  • 0:02

    There's Waldo.

  • Title fight and lifetime are both so fucking good.

  • pop punk > all.

  • this is the kind of punk i fuckin love, this kind of music is going to come back in a big way.

  • so many bands ride lifetime's dick it's retarded. who the fuck is title fight?

  • @ezrapouech I love Lifetime but Title Fight is fucking awesome too man. plug this shit in, watch?v=GAAB7muiXqk

  • @ezrapouech title fight is amazing.

  • I wanted to hate this album so bad....hello bastards was in heavy rotation in my HS days. After a couple spins, I really like this album.

  • ♥♥♥♥

  • What's with all the bitching about FeuledByRamen sucking? They were obviously smart enough to sign Lifetime, so good for them. Get off their nuts, at least they did something right.

  • wtf is wrong with these kids in the video?!?! they do realize they are in the presence of some of the best musicians ever and should be losing theyre fucking minds right?.____. anywho who cares what label theyre on,as long as they keep making the music THEY wanna make (and it doesnt suck :3) always be their fan

  • @greens618 nothing was wrong with us. this was the first time anybody had heard this video dude. the album, and even the singles, weren't out yet. i can tell you though people went fucking apeshit for the rest of the day. they played pretty much every song they knew how to inbetween the 20+ times they filmed themselves playing this song.

  • I'm convinced that anybody who hates on this record was either a) destined to hate or b) didn't give it more than one listen. I at first didn't know how I felt about it. But the fact that after a few years, it's still in steady rotation says it's pretty damn good. I'm actually not a huge fan of this single. But in general, I love the album!

  • MY BESTFRIENDS COUSIN IS LIFETIMES BASSIST :D

  • @mapman500 WHO FUCKING CARES.

  • Comment removed

  • this is a joke of a lifetime record. overproduced garbage from one of my all time favorite bands. doesnt even sound like lifetime.

  • @maryperkins666 overproduced? are you fucking kidding me? this isn't 95, ya know. technology has changed and cheapened and it takes literally nothing for any serious band to put out a decent sounding record. and it's not like they put out anything that remotely sounds like it should be on this horrible label, so i don't get how it "doesn't even sound like lifetime."

  • The only band which has gotten better with every release.

  • Now it's time they know,

    They don't take a step,

    Line keeps on pushing,

    They won't stop kissing,

    The airport is racing,

    The smokers are pacing,

    It just started raining,

    Soon I'll have to go

  • dan yemin <3

  • Ari's santa hat rulez.

  • Government Warning shirt

  • this video needs more Dan Yemin.

  • i love Lifetime self title album

  • scotty fucking gobots!

  • FUCK TRAVIS MCCOY!!!!!

    LIFETIME RULES!

  • i love that they incorporated the crowd vocals into the audio for this. so essential to a lifetime show.

  • this just renewed my love for Lifetime and melodic hardcore in general. for a while i've just been listening to that 90's skate punk Fat Wreck stuff but now i'm back into Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, Paint It Black, Good Clean Fun, and all that good melodic positive hardcore stuff :)

  • seems like one of the immensely few fbr bands that aren't either a. wussies, b. kids with weird haircuts and tighter than sex clothes or c. making shit music.

fall out boy's first record was good and the academy is was good at one point but when they came out with fast times, that pretty much killed it.

  • wow this song blows. remember when lifetime was good?

  • I hate it when people think that music changes over time. It doesn't change, it just grows. New Ideas are introduced, but old ones never go away. If any of y'all think that classical music or percussion ensembe is old and dead, then look around you. People are continuing to write songs like that. Like I said, they get better because of new Ideas, and old Ideas are the foundation.

  • Damn everyone LOVES Government Warning.

  • @Xproletariatx I wouldn't mind them at all, but I just can't hear what they're saying. But the music is alright. Thumbs up!

  • when emo goes grey

  • pENA DE MORTE POLITICO LADRÂO ! in the HOUSE !>.... ACTION keeP nINE !>. hehehe ....

  • The only reason lifetime was signed to fueled is because pete wentz loves this band.

Lifetime is way to good for fueled.

    fuck that label.

  • At least Wentz has got some taste, even if his band have gone downhill ever since they came out.

  • @mattxthexkiller

at least lifetime deserves the hype that Fueled by ramen can get them.

  • @mattxthexkiller

Pete Wentz is a pansy :)

  • @mattxthexkiller tru dat

  • @mattxthexkiller Good thing they're on No Idea Records now.

  • @mattxthexkiller Agreed.

  • @mattxthexkiller Agreed. FBR can't hold a fucking candle to Lifetime or any other band in that family tree.

  • @mattxthexkiller Right when I saw the fueled by ramen logo I was like "Lifetime is on Fueled? What!?"

Lifetime is way too punk rock for this label...but as long as their sound is the same and they make more money, I'm happy for them. Melodic hardcore punk is the way to be

  • @mattxthexkiller What the fuck is fueled? and what does it have to do with whether or not a band is "good" or not?....not arguing......just asking

  • @mattxthexkiller i feel you, Lifetime is too legendary for fueldbyramen. Pete Wentz is a sellout, eyeliner wearing scene kid, desperately trying to hold on to his hardcore roots. that dudes the biggest puppet ever.

  • I don't care for most of FBR's roster. I love Lifetime and the Swellers. Of course LTJ are great. I also liked the first Fall Out Boy record. Sue me. It was good.

  • I agree, Lifetime is the best on the Lavel. fallout boys first record was legit for sure.

  • i love this band. i like the where's waldo hat he's sporting.

  • Love this band dispite the label they are in(especially a down-the-dumps label)

  • do you know anything about this band at all? maybe once you learn somethin about where Paramore grabs influence from rather than just adore the bitches hair color, then you deserve the right to comment such a hard working band

  • Agree with this dude.

More to the point, Paramore is like a microwave meal: Sure, it looks nice and presses some of the right buttons, but where's the feeling?

This is why Lifetime are better.

  • what the fuck!

these guys are giving that shitty label a reason to stick around

  • I love this band

  • The only cool band on their entire label. Every other band sucks to a immense degree. It's not an emo thing, it's a what-the-fuck-every-happen-to-decent-music kinda thing.

Especially Panic at the disco. God, they suck.

  • AGREED

couldnt be put more perfectly why dont they go to ASIAN MAN or Fat or sumthing

its pisss me off how they are one the worst label ever

  • Asian Man is my favorite record label. So many great band on there. Same with Fat Wreck

  • i totally agree. both labels have had so many great bands come thru their doors.

and i hope no one's forgetting that lawrence arms and alkaline trio both started gaining momentum on asian man records.

  • Oh yeah definitely. The Lawrence Arms are my favorite punk band

  • @Outerspaceman21 You're right. I hate it when people think that music changes over time. It doesn't change, it just grows. New Ideas are introduced, but old ones never go away.

  • @Outerspaceman21 Back in the day Fueled had some great bands, they put out the first Bigwig 7", they had the hippos, the impossibles, animal chin, fun size. They were pretty fucking cool. It didnt start to suck till the major labels bought it. I dunno which one, i think interscope. Now Vinny from Less Than Jake owns paper or plastic records. It's pretty fuckin good. They put out the new Gamits cd.

  • @idiot1321 Yeah, I know about paper and plastic. One of my favorite bands, A Wilhelm Scream, just signed to that label and released a badass EP. They got some good stuff on there.

  • Comment removed

  • @Outerspaceman21 Couldn't have said it any better haha. they're an extremely bad example of "music". I don't know what to classify them as, other than utter shit.

  • @DrublicPunker Wow, i'm surprised I'm still getting replies to a comment I made two years ago. Nice

  • @Outerspaceman21 Blueline Medic's 'The Apology Wars' LP was put out by that label. The Medic - like Lifetime,- are a great band. Former members of Caustic Soda and MYC, how could they possibly suck?

  • @xalstarx Dude, this was two years ago, I don't know what I was talking about. Maybe I was referring to Decaydance Records, but they're a subsidiary of Fueled by Ramen, so whatever. All I know is, Panic at the Disco sucks.

  • hardcore is punk, punk is hardcore u dumb trendy fuck faces!

  • lifetime is one of my favorite bands, i just dont understand why theyre on fueled by ramen. fueled by ramen used to be decent, with the impossibles, but now they arent anything. lifetime is the only good band on it right now they deserve a better label(that doesnt mean sellout to a bigger label, it means a more respected label in the underground punk scene)kid dynamite is the shit also. less than jake USED to be good, what happened to them? and i believe pietasters were on ramen? weird hahah

  • i was suprised to when i picked up the record and saw fueld by ramen. i hate fueld by ramen. most of the bands on there are pretty bad. i love lifetime though. i still like ltj. their new album suprised the fuck out of me. it's really good (i think so at least). i thought they were done when in with the out crowd came out but somehow they recovered from it. in with the out crowd=bad. GNV FLA=good.

  • pretty easily. their line up sucks. Im glad to see Lifetime is off their roster list and on to better things

  • generic ,

  • Lifetime are so good.

  • dude this band rules!!!!!!!!!!! nothing by the ramen records is this good:P

  • this is the ONLY good band on fueled by ramen.

  • Yeah, all the other bands suck ass

  • ramen for once has a good band.

  • why are they like the only good band on fueledbyramen

    i love this band

  • i love how they kept the crowd vocals in the background of the song. If you listen to the she's got to go's and all those parts, you can hear the actual show.

  • one of my favorite bands ever. lol i live like 20 min from new brunswick too

  • forgive durden and lifetime dont really get recodnize by fbr that much witch is sad because there both really good but i gusse their not as metrostyle as the other bands no offens 2 other bands i like those bands 2 but if you labeled for ou you should at least let them get a share of the spot lite too

  • Lifetime influenced all the other bands on FBR... Its cool that they didnt sell out to. They joined a bigger label and still make awesome NJ hardcore emo punk.

  • what the fuck are you on about?

Lifetime are punk. Where you got emo or hardcore from is beyond me.

  • lifetime where originally hardcore with the first cd called background, then they went more punk, but they definately have hardcore influences in there music. even emo a little bit i'd say, they even were a huge influence to saves the day, listen to std's first cd. sounds just like lifetime.

  • Yeah i can see where they get the hardcore from but emo?

  • basically, they're a hardcore band that chilled out. you could call them emo, but the terms been so stretched out that you can pretty much call anything emo now...

  • you nailed it really. i remember back in the days of 80's hardcore, I ran in the same circles. their first demo (tape, that's the way we did it you digital bastards) was completely emotional. there were hardcore elements, but if you ask Dan or Ari or anybody, I don't think they'll point a finger into the distance and shout "GO!". you wanna listen to some roots hardcore, came along late, but was the brainchild of some hardcore people, pick up anything Kid Dynamite did. that's hardcore.

  • EVERYONE keep in mind that they have a whole different lineup which means the sound is going to change.

  • this lineup isn't too far off from any 'historic' lineup. and the songs don't sound much different.

  • fuckin' great song!!! all songs from this band are really good

  • lifetime has to be the best fucking band ever...their s/t is so fucking good...almost Jersey's best dancer good...ALMOST

  • i think lifetime is one of the most underrated fbr bands.

    =(

    they're really good.

  • Yeah they are. And they've been underrated. BEFORE ramen. Who cares now that they are on ramen. I hope they don't change. Ramen sells bands out.

  • I love this song. Lifetime is the best. All there songs are so good. :) Lifetime Rocks

  • am I the only one who thinks these guys have some-what of an emo sound? I mean I like them but I don't know why they get called melodic hardcore.

  • They are one of the main influences of modern day "emo" , so alot of bands today that are considered "emo" have a faint similarity to Lifetime.

  • too hardcore to play with poppy bands, too poppy to play with hardcore bands, but theyre both

  • am i the only one that actually likes the change in lifetime. i fucking love this song. fuck. LIFETIME!!!

  • Except unlike The Academy Is..., Fall Out Boy, and Paramore they were around at the same time as blink-182. And while blink-182 took care of pop-punk songs on MTV, Lifetime took care of melodic hardcore songs on the underground.

  • oh and blueline medic. the guitarist used to play for one inch punch/mid youth crisis (the best fucking band to ever walk the earth!!)

  • one of the most legendary bands ever.

  • and to who said fuck fuelled by ramen, i don't care what anyone says, but i like paramore too.

  • paramore sucks a fat cock. the impossibles were one of the best bands ever to be on FBR and will remain the best since FBR went to shit a few yeas back.

  • *years

  • i want to meet my mom

  • The impossibles are AMAZING!

Hi were the impossibles from Austin, Tx! <3

  • At least they didn't go and change their sound to sound like goth-emo-hair-in-eyes-dudes

  • WHAT!?! this video is awesome.

  • song rules, the video stinks. it's pretty badly edited too. Dr. Dan I love you!!

  • Lifetime are the best

  • we got a comedian here

  • I love this ablum its amazing!!!. when i first got it i listen to it for like 5 days straight

  • nice video... please view my profile too.. tnx!!!

  • the video is alright, but i wish it would have had more to do with the song... i have been a lifetime fan for a long time, and as much as i love the older stuff, i honestly love this song.

  • why is that? because: "they're on fall out boy's label" they signed to that label because they were told that they would have control over everything. Do you see them making tons of money and all famous and stuff now? No, they're writing good songs and playing good shows, they're the same band and always will be as long as they stick to their ideals. It's easy to call a band a sellout when everyone else is though isn't it?

  • So why are they sellouts?

  • if you mean that they changed their sound, then your right. the 1995 release hello bastards has a different sound then the 1993 release background. but jerseys best dancers and s/t are very similar in sound to hello bastards.

so if anything, they sold out 12 years ago.

i personally don't buy any of that shit!

  • I agree and disagree with you. Yeah Hello Bastards was a change from background, and no I wouldn't call lifetime sellouts. That being said I wish the new album was a little closer to the classic lifetime/kid dynamite sound. Whatever, at least we got a new lifetime album.

  • i wasn't a huge fan of the new album when i first listened to it but now it's grown on me a lot. i saw them live a couple of weeks ago and they were great, even though they played nothing off ghost or background. the new songs sound awesome live!!!

  • there best album was jerseys best dancers!

  • i agree i think hello bastards is one of the best albums ive ever heard. but this song definetly isnt the best one (on their s/t album)

  • fuck fuled by ramen

    :)

  • Fueled By Ramen does suck, but seeing as this is Lifetime, they're a major exception. They've been good since day 1.

I still think 'Hello Bastards' is a better album than S/T, but S/T is fucking awesome. If they just removed the couple of boring songs it had on it, then it would have been equal to 'Hello Bastards'. o:

  • cant wait to see them august 18th

  • what the hell is with these stupid chain posts/letters??

    those are not real!!!!!!!!!

  • good snuff

  • Remember... you can't create marble statues of those that you love... they are dynamic and human, just like we all are. odd how life gives you perspective when you think that you have all the perspective you need.

I'm so happy for Lifetime.... to get back together, after all they'd gone through... what a wonderful gift they have. And to come back and have all the support of us, the fans... I'm sure that's what their smiling about now :-)

  • i like the video, but i think i'd rather see a video for northbound breakdown.

  • Saw them in Boston last month... and they played Bobby Truck Tricks... sickest... show... EVER

  • they'd play a few songs between takes.. and then a few takes, and then a few songs.. good times

  • This song rockssss.

    So does the new album.

    "Hello Bastards" is better though.

  • video's mediocre, kinda resembles kid dynamite vid I saw, forget what song, and the song's pretty alright, although jersey's best dancers will always be my favorite lifetime album. I saw them at the magic stick in detroit. Best show ever. Can't. Stop. Fragment. Sentences.

  • hello bastards was a great great record. not too sure about this though.

  • the video... it bored me.

  • that was a bad video..haha.

    I like the song though.

    :D

  • nothing new,

    same old melocore...

    crappy video

  • GREAT SONG!!! Horrible video. I'm so glad these guys are back!

  • i went to this show. my first time in NYC. pretty fun!

  • Did they play like a show or just this song for the vid?

  • i have the navy blue bangarang shirt on in the front row! LOLz

  • song sucks, video sucks, jeff pelly is the best part.

  • i too was there. sooooo good

  • woo great video.. i was there.. goooood times (:
