YMO definitely is the pioneer of techno pop!

kraftwerk is the pioneers of Technopop

they even have a song called technopop they practically made the term techno pop

well, Kraftwerk began earlier than YMO and have been around longer than YMO, but, YMO invented the term of techno pop in 1978 when their first album came out.

but there is no doubt that Kraftwerk and YMO were going to the same directions for sure.

I respect both YMO and Kraftwerk.

If there were no YMO and Kraftwerk, there wouldn't be a electronic music today!

the song technopop from kraftwerk was released in 87'

however YMO started using the terminology techno pop from 78'.

So I think YMO is the pioneer of techno pop.

But, I like both equally, and are pioneers of techno music, or synth pop.
