this is true, i think Fukudome did pretty well from the transition of coming over from Japan. Most Japanese players that come over didn't do as well as fukudome did. Thats of course excluding Ichiro and Matsui.

ya b/c lifting your front foot has everything to do w/ power... not. its timing (for him at least). what the cubs need him doing is exactly what hes doing for them right now: playing good defence, getting on base alot, and influencing his teammates to do the same. just look how theriot, fontentot and soto have developed this year. hes changing the cubs from a homerun team to a singles and doubles team, w/ 2 big hitters, and thats exactly what they need in order to break the curse.
