I agree with your philosophy as well. I keep going to college to gain skills but it will never define me as a person of that degree.. always an artist..i think its good for others to view this perspective and rethink the opposing philosophy as to who am i going to be when i grow up...and think more of who am i now and how can i grow just being myself

Lol.... Two years ago I worked with kids and their teacher with classwork help and in the after-school, my co-workers and I help them with homework and plan other activities...it was a very very very hard lol...but most kids do get the passion to learn more, and think about the education and some, well you know. But, for some odd reason in my heart, those kids who think education is a game, have lots of talents. I remember the teens dancing...and younger kids rapping. Man, I miss that job. :(

@artistic84chick84 i use do voluntary work at my old church summer program bacl in Jamaica working with kids,awwww!!! it was awesome, only problem i had is the kids from the year before could not understand why i wasn't there teacher again....They'd stalk me ,lol,love those kids:)

@artistic84chick84 Yes it is beautiful,i was the assistant teacher,so whenever they were teaching i'd be the one to give the kids hand on help,i'm talking about4- 5 year old kids... So its like the basics...

Anywho, I would appreciate with other youtubers help and yours...I like to start contacting all artists in all fields. My style of art is painting and drawing...fine art and mix media...even tho, I slowly into mix media.

@candisweetart Oh ok...well, comfort level...well, I meant online contacting with other artists...later in the future, maybe...because I am write so plans on owning an art workshop for kids. I don't want to say to much about it on comment. Message...yet. For now, I am researching how to create a website to sell and protect my art...so far, I see youtube is helping with what I see on youtube.

@candisweetart thats so crazy that you said that cause ever since I was little I want to be an teacher...but, as I grew older...now, I would like to be an art teacher...lol...but, now I would like to get into to shows but thats down the line...with the battles of college nightmare (lol), I truly love being educated with the wonders and knowledge of ART. And deep inside myself I truly believe that schools need to bring back ART into the classes...kids need ART.

I wanna be an art teacher cause i never had much art classes as kid and few of them were good, and i see where the ones that had passion for art made such a big impact on me that even now i still remember it and have that feeling for art, and i wanna bring that to another generation of children. Listening to your thought on this video just give me hope in a positive way, because I was having problems with Design 1 in the spring of 2010; which I failed...at the time, I was so upset about it and now that summer is almost over, and fall 2010 I am taking Design 1 class again in this community college I am taking and I am praying to do good but in the back of my head, I feel like I'm gonna fail but now this througt of yours...I don't have to feel like that...thank you!

@artistic84chick84 I'm so sorry you failed it the first time, the good news is you already did it so u have a heads up, you know whenever i fail a class, i always have to take some time out to evaluate the situation. i can tell that you are a man that have to be true to yourself- like me. So this time around you just gotta find the balance being you and what they need ,while being true to yourself. Is it like a practical class where you gonna do designs or do u have to memorize theories ? I

@artistic84chick84 i know man, and the funny part is some of them failed in the real world and thats why they are teaching now. I usually pick my battles. Read my syllabus,talk to other students that did that class before to get a feel of what the teacher wants, and this third one totally depends on the teacher, i usually try to build a good relationship with my teacher and let them know that this class means a lot to me, and i am trying my hardest.

@candisweetart yea, true; but some battles (at times) can't win...and then, with the critiques...I had a hard time explaining my struggles with trying to purchase those supplies I needed in Design 1 class cause at the time financial aid came 7 weeks late of the semester ...I tried my best to have a good relationship; but.... In all of the problems and struggles I faced in college, its a blessing to learn so much in art then creating the work is a plus.

I've always been the "different" one out of my friends/classmates. I always went to a different high school and college than everyone else in my class. I can hang out with the "nerds" one day and the "jocks" another, and the "stoners" the day after that.

The big thing is not caring about people judging you. People will talk about you your entire life, it's your reaction and what YOU do about it that counts.

You are so true. I have no education, but I am not dumb, I draw, paint, I became myself a face painter on my own NO school. Yeah I thought about it but can not find something I want to fit in. Like why do you need to know all these other things. I don't get how life is and you will be so surprised to the people that go to school sometimes are still lost in this world. I agree with all you said. Be True and only let one person Judge u GOD and only GOD. You are Great and Amazing : )

That's why, when I was taking art at Utah State University, and they tried to get me to make my art more modern, I quit.. and taught myself to sculpt. Worked out great in the long run.. I stayed myself.
