  • City win, United lose!

  • Brilliant,Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds together.

  • check out nick lowe on the bass .... this is pure roots rock.... so good

  • I love Dave Edmunds. He is brill, he is my favourite singer of all time.

  • This is fantastic! The feel or the tempo is more remanisant of Marty Robbins version which came after guy Mitchells but Marty made it his own by far sold the most copies and charted higher than ANY one who has covered this. BUT this Rockpile is a nod to Marty's version with the Chuck Berry "crank" method infused to the song, Awesome !

  • I'm sure if Dave Edmunds hadn't done this, Shakin' Stevens would have, dressed in a jeans outfit in the video, no doubt...

  • Bad one..sorry Dave.

  • @ppaulmorris You're kidding, aren't you? Not only has he taken an old country song & rocked it, he created a guitar intro that had never been done before. You think it's bad? Listen to that guitar intro again. With both ears, this time.

  • Best version

  • @IsItBehindTheFridge. Time to get you ears syringed!!!

  • Got to be my favourite version of this song .

  • Ultra cool version of the 50's classic originally done by Guy Mitchell. Was never even aware of it until now! Thank heavens for the magic of you tube! THANK YOU so much for sharing this delightful "blast from the past" with us! :)

  • dave edmund rocks

  • I remember the original Guy Mitchell version from 1957--sheesh!

  • Love this guy DE never lets the side down and I love the Guy Mitchell and Tommy Steel versions too and Cliff and the Shadows has done a unique version as well recently

  • guy mitchell was always way ahead of the 50's but then here comes a guy who really gets rock and puts a great spin on it.dave has been one of my favs since Rockpile

  • @nomiclas John sebastian did a tounge in cheek version of this song

  • Dave Edmunds does it great in A in 1980 - Cliff and the Shads do it great in G in 2009 - otherwise they're on the same hymn sheet. Both terrific!

  • Cliff Richard's version is a mere Shadow of this!

Hank even copies Dave Edmunds classic key change instrumental break!

  • A shadow, yes - a cover, yes - but a MERE shadow, no! C&S have done it just as well as this

  • Cliff & the Shadows version will be released on 14 Sep. Download it is you will found out the perfect sound and catchy vocals. It has been already played on BBC radio 2

  • I bought the guy mitchell single

great song This a great version perfect dave edmunds...too cool

  • Can't wait to hear the new Cliff & the Shadows version.

  • Me neither mate LOL!!

  • Rockpile! I remember buying this single and playing over and over- the guys were Pure RocknRoll!

  • The guitar Dave plays is a Gibson ES 335 and worth a fortune because it has dot markers on the fretboard instead of blocks. What a player! Anyone remember his first record 'The Stumble[ around '69?

  • I do.Blues Helping &Sabre Danco too.

  • Dave Edmunds should have been in Travelling Wilburys..in place of either Dylan or Petty.

  • hi tommy i just luv dave and i've got all the vinyl i could buy of his rockin'.hope you enjoy

  • Rock on Dave!!!

  • So little of pop music stands the test of time, but Edmunds and Lowe are exceptions. Real talents making real art.

  • Any more everett and edmunds stuff?
