Also, the only way I can see Piccolo being brought to life is if he were completely cgi, like the avatars, where someone wears a special suit and goes through the motions and then cover it with amazingly realistic cgi. Make-up can only go so far, and watching this, it can't go nearly far enough...
Dragon ball z can never be transferred to live action. It's too impossibly awesome to be at all convincing in real life. Even so, this looks as if it's just about the worst attempt anyone could have ever made...it looks worse than a high school tech class special effect movie project!

I own this movie and I know the entire thing was epic fail but just for this one scene why the hell does Goku fly not only into the air while doing a Kamehameha but he flys through his own beam thus reducing it to only a shot that is extending right int he palm of his hand?

Hay series de TV como Smallville,Embrujadas,Lois & Clark,Buffy Cazavampiros o Angel que podrían servir de ejemplo...

I own this movie and I know the entire thing was epic fail but just for this one scene why the hell does Goku fly not only into the air while doing a Kamehameha but he flys through his own beam thus reducing it to only a shot that is extending right int he palm of his hand?
Is it just me or were these people not only on crack and obviously never cared or watched the series? I know Akira was pissed and he said by the time he found out they were making it it was to late he should have sued

Explain to me how he would be able to jump and use a kamehameha? If he did that the kamehameha would just push him back on to the ground unless he used a greater amount of energy in his jump which he coulda used in his kamehameha!

I actually gave this movie a chance, thinking it couldn't be too bad. I thought I could just accept it as being apart of the series, but I nearly vomited half way through the movie!!!! Just the beginning fight with gpa gohan was shitty as F***!! They ruined it worse than the resident evil moves! *Barf*

I dunno why I'm obsessed with this movie being so bad, but on some real shit. The person who did the casting for this movie should fucking impale their neck with a fork. They fucked up on simple shit, Not giving Bulma blue hair, Goku being played by that faggot emo kid from Invisible, Goku going to HS. I wonder how this movie was ever made or who gave them the ok to make this piece of shit.

@Link4everOot Yes which woulda made this movie better if they repeated it or at least had him stand there just going ki blast against ki blast like Vegeta's galick gun vs Goku's kamehameha but no they think it's more epic to have Goku jump upward with a kamehameha seing no resistance on him from the kamehameha or Picollo's blast. There still needs to be alittle logic in DB

Here's the problem with directors that make movies based off a video game or an anime/manga. The directors try to appeal to the younger audience way too goddamn much. As past history has shown, its an epic fail waiting to happen.

@WeaponXSigma Now I would say comic books too but there's actually some that didn't suck and was pretty damn good. Like Iron Man for example. That was an awesome movie. Now don't get me wrong, there were notable differences but it wasn't to the point where the movie was ruined. The Dark Knight is also an example of good movies based off a comic book..

@mayhem9024 I highly doubt that, and if he said anything even remotely close to that, he MUST have been paid handsomely to say so. In an alternate reality, this still ruins everything about Dragonball. The only thing kept in tact are character names and the dragonballs. Other than that, this is a complete fallacy on one of the greatest animes/comics/stories around. Hollywood is a failure.

This was probably the worst movie i've ever seen at the movie theater. They ruined the movie completely and had it make no sense. It wasn't entertaining at all, even the kamehameha was terrible and pathetic. Good job ruining the show with a trash movie.

This movie sucked, since when does Goku fly through a Kamehameha? I could understand if he aims down like in the show and uses the Kamehameha to fly up to attack a dude, but wtf is this? I knew this movie was gonna be trash from the beginning, first off Goku never went to high school, and he wasn't such a negative and emotional person like this Goku was in the movie, Goku never cries, Goku is always a happy and confident dude, only time he isn't happy is when he's fighting som1 evil
