As for your question, i don't think the origin of debt owners is THAT important. International economic system isn't based on emotions of national solidarity. If Italian government owes a trillion to Italian banks, isn't much different owing it to Chinese, because the holes must be covered anyway, otherwise Italian economy will fail (if its banks fail)
