The problem is that the sweet and funny, nerdy guys expect to have the prettiest/hottest women, who, like the most attractive men turn out to be jackasses. There are plenty of sweet, plain girls out there. who don't get out much. Take your own advice to women and apply it to yourself.

I think it's more likely that nerdy people tend to be timid. Your definition of nerd matters. I have a high IQ and I major in biochemistry and I love science, but I also party, lift weights and do MMA. I have been classified nerd, meat-head/jock, and metrosexual depending on what I'm doing or talking about

Pardon if I sound bitter but, the reason you can't find a kind, caring, sweet guy is because that's what women SAY they want but don't ACTUALLY look for. Nice guys finish last and some don't finish at all. Girls are attracted to the bad boy, but only want a guy that's nice after they've had their heart broken by the bad boy. I know this cause I'm a nice guy and I have 20 friends, all women. It's an observation they've all made about their lives. I'm their shoulder to cry on, nothing more.

But once I'm in the friend zone, it's hard if not impossible to get out of it & into a relationship. Which is why I try again & low & behold, I make another friend. @frqnt I think it often comes down to the fact that nice guys tend to seem needy. Even though it's somewhat backwards and we'd like to be with someone nice, when we date we need some of the "I couldn't care less" attitude, otherwise it freaks us out a little - and that goes for both sexes. Also, despite what girls might think, we don't like to be too spoiled (even though it feels nice, when we are), cos it might show, guy is a total wimp, and wants you to be his mummy, rather that a partner.

@SnitchSeeker Thx for the pep talk. :) I do believe I'm in the wrong crowd, or rather the wrong state. Omegas don't react well around Alphas. But man your description of an Alpha (Bad Boy), fits them to the letter. I've known only 1 Alpha that respected my opinion and wasn't all up in my face. My friend is a really cool guy, he sticks to his convictions and totally has your back. Just wish there were more guys like him. Thx again, it's nice to know there are like minded people out there. :D

@Crewka I can agree to that. They're all really good people as friends & would be even better if I was in a relationship with any of them. But once I'm in the friend zone, it's hard if not impossible to get out of it & into a relationship. Which is why I try again & low & behold, I make another friend. I want to break the cycle, but I don't know how. I always treat the girl with respect, I remember all the important things in their lives, I celebrate their good fortune, & I morn their losses.

@frqnt I think it often comes down to the fact that nice guys tend to seem needy. Even though it's somewhat backwards and we'd like to be with someone nice, when we date we need some of the "I couldn't care less" attitude, otherwise it freaks us out a little - and that goes for both sexes. Also, despite what girls might think, we don't like to be too spoiled (even though it feels nice, when we are), cos it might show, guy is a total wimp, and wants you to be his mummy, rather that a partner.

@Crewka Huh; I don't think I would've come to that conclusion, but it's a very valid one. Around my friends I'm a go with the flow kinda guy, but when I'm trying to impress a girl I act differently. Next time I'll take your advice under consideration. :D But this comes to one of my biggest social fears...Being misunderstood. I thought I was being romantic, but I'm coming off looking needy and wimpy....but then again I'm a lover not a fighter. :D Thx again for the helpful tips. :D

Problem is, females usually can't see it because SURE, they want a guy who is "sweet and funny" but unrealistically want an Abercrombie and Fitch model with a 6 figure salary who it turns out isn't really sweet or funny at all lol.
