@callmeTruman it wasnt the songbird, it was one of these big enemies whos names i forget. They are huge robot/people of some sort and you fight them throughout the game, look it up i think theres more info on them online that i forgot

@iamnanosec songbird doesn't have hands. Songbird is a gigantic metal bird and there is only one of them- that was another enemy whose name I forget. It's on the wikipedia page :) (apparently there are lots of them)

As much as I'm longing for Bioshock Infinite, I can't help but feel a little sad that Elizabeth didn't keep the appearance they gave her in this trailer. Her clothes, her hair, even her eyes -- everything just pieces together so wonderfully and makes her seem so much more "human" than she does now. Maybe it's just me, but I can't seem to warm to her current style, not matter how much I want to...

Psh. I'll still buy the game the day it comes out anyway.

i've always felt bioshock was a little over-rated. good games, just don't feel they deserve the giga-hype they get. i am however looking forward to infinite. looks pretty good. assassin's creed, bioshock, uncharted 3, mass effect 3.....i'm going to be broke and busy this fall/winter

@heyandyVid It's in a different place and time, so no, it's not the same "universe". Bioshock 1 is in Rapture and in the 50/60s (I don't remember exactly) and Infinite is in 1912 in Columbia.

I don't believe this takes place in the same "world" as the previous Bioshock games. Bioshock 1 takes place in 1960 and BS2 takes place during 1968.

This is during 1912, HOWEVER, Ted Levine (the creative director) hasn't said anything about how this ties into Rapture, or if it even shares the same world!

It's an interesting and different concept considering that this Bioshock isn't related to Rapture. XD I think I still might prefer the first game with it's murky, creepy waters. The environment seems lighter here and a lot more cheery 'cause of course, it's in the sky. But I guess I'll never know 'till I try. :>

The company that made BioShock 2 totally failed to capture what made the first one great. Of course, I believe it was the ultimate theme of the story. It made me buy and read Atlas Shrugged, which was what the game was mainly based off of.

BioShock: Infinite, even in this trailer, is bringing a new theme into the story. Columbia, the personification of America moving westward, etc.

I like how they switched up the environment a bit. I agree with redsmarties00's statement in that Bioshock was most likely based off corruption in society. I feel like the being underwater gave the person a sense of being trapped- being in the air gives a similar feeling, as portrayed by the trailer. It gives the person a feeling of "I can't truly escape".
