  • turned out horrible, bleh. i dont blame you, i am a pretty bad cook lol

  • Trust a white man to need jelly in his salsa

  • Hey mate, can I put all the ingredients in a blender? I don't have a processor.

  • @ForgedinShadow2 I've heard that you can, Vitamix has a recipe for salsa as well, but I would guess it's tricky. Remember you can always cut it by hand, takes a little longer but still works.

  • loooks delicious! i pulse to much and mine looks like apple sauce. :.(

  • @n8vdescent yeah, you have to take it easy with the pulsing. Remember, you can always pulse more, you can never pulse less. :-)

  • Im making this right now can't wait to eat it!

  • I chopped it all by hand -_-" and it sucked! I NEED A FOOD PROCESSOR

  • Your salsa looks amazing! I'm going to make it for my New Years Eve party this weekend! I'll let you know how they all liked it!

  • @Goalpost10 It is amazing, take a pic and send it to me, can't wait to see it.

  • mmmm cant wait to try this!

  • Thank you for posting this video, very helpful!!!

  • I made this but without the corn or green peppers. It was excellent! Next time I will add some green peppers though.

  • corn nd rasberry?!

  • im so makeing this

  • @evahernandez6 Thank you for the kind comment. Your graciousness is appreciated and apparent.

  • @evahernandez6 All your prooving is your ignorance.

  • @evahernandez6 why u hating on a cooking instruction video haha u just look stupid

  • @evahernandez6 Its not his fault that your a fat bitter ugly bitch.

  • @evahernandez6 hmmmm i wonder if you realize how you stupid you sound right now. What a pathetic little prick you are :D

  • no garlic?

  • @BenReeves88 sometimes yes, but sometimes it tends to make it a little bitter imho.

  • i just made this and it is nice... all i would say is just add half a spoon of jam coz it kind of overtook the flavours!

  • @todosbien taste is to the person, no doubt. thanks for the feedback.

  • salontro? lol

  • @pinkfloydmas1er cilantro is the american term for corriander

  • hey sorry sir. did'nt mean nothing by that comment. i did try this recipe and it is awsome. the strawberry jam made it perfect. thanks very much. take care.

  • thuper sharp knife!!

  • @ak7wyf :-)

  • im excited to try this...ive never had salsa with corn or jam before...sounds yummy!!!

  • ill jelly

iin salsa and corn? he like salsa to much he maks noice when he eats it?

  • ill jelly

    iin salsa and corn?

  • i was born in mexico and my relatives put corn in there salsa... no jam but hey everyone likes things different... i think ill try it

  • Sorry, but I like hot salsa, and I don't think I'd like corn in my salsa.

  • holy shit i just got massive diajrea frim this

  • i think ill throw everything in there subtract the corn the pepper an jelly an when im done ill add some spicy v8 juice i wonder if u can use a grinder

  • i think ill throw everything in there subtract the corn the pepper an jelly an when im done ill add some spicy v8 juice

  • So I'm going to PULL out the seeds. We are in Minnesota lol.

  • Never head of adding corn or jam, but I can see myself trying this recipe out. :)

  • Thank you very much for the recipe!

  • I'm I mistaken or did he put in the red onion without peeling off the outside skin?

  • Take this guys recipe & prep, substitute a serrano pepper in place of the jalapeno (this guy is from MN, as am I, but I don't suffer from "Minnesota Spice" syndrome as everyone else here does), throw out the corn and the jam and you've got a phenomenal spicier salsa recipe!

  • @hardwickj I tell you guys, the corn and jam are GOOD! Yes it's not the way they make it in Mexico, but try it before you knock it.

  • @hardwickj Definitley get rid of the corn and Jam, They dont belong in a pico de Gallo. And i like to "man up" with habanero. just made some yesterday and its damn spicy. Ive been hand chopping everything though cause i like it chunky and this last one iused the blender but the F'ing pulse didnt work, but im smart and didnt add the tamatoes till the end. Word

  • is it ok if you didnt use the corn ?

  • @UaEsK8TeR Yes, no problem,

  • @UaEsK8TeR No, it's inedible without the corn.

  • seriuosly never ever ever heard da mexicans put corn and jam in pico de gallo!! Is dat like da whites version of beak of da roaster?!?! lol.. Why take away da seeds if dats da whole point of making it a salsa.. cuz its spicy!! wow.. i tell yeah a gringo makin a mexican salsa dat has been made by mexicans for yrs and yrs and all of a sudden theres corn and jam!!! lmao... ok.. watever grinito!!!

  • @77annamtz Yes, this isn't traditional Mexican pico de gallo but it's an American version that's really good. It's one of the things America does well, integrating other cultural practices and melting them with others.

  • @cookingfordads agreed. corn and jam not "authentic" but still really good. i hate bellpeppers in pico tho, but if you want to try an asian twist, chives or green onions and lightly blended really good too. and add canned Ja-La-Pee-Nose juice!!

  • @cookingfordads my mom and i made this! its VERY good! i love it!

  • mm yummy, this looks very good :))))

  • dam my mom makes this and she puts wayyy more jalapeno in there

  • I stopped at the jam....you should have just left the original recepie alone.

  • How can you tell the difference between cilantro and parsley if you're at the supermarket and it isn't labeled? Also, how do you know when its fresh? And how long will cilantro last in the fridge?

  • @enlargemedia Cilantro has a much stronger and different smell. It should be green and not spoiled or have any grey spots. It will last in the fridge for about a week. Try it and let me know what you think. This is one of my favorite things to make.

  • thats not a pico de gallo stupid

my grandma knows how to make the real stuff

  • @VonePrOfficial Hey, keep it clean, this is a family show. Just because we take influences from your cuisine and make it our own, doesn't make it wrong. It's a fusion global world. You'll have to get used to that fact. I guess we'll just agree to disagree. :-)

  • @cookingfordads well, you're right in that point.

  • Lol

  • Then stop messing with are food then we will call it even.

  • @Klostraun Nobody is copying anyone, smh. Ok im black and alot of black culture has been taken over by white folks, is that giving me a right to hate on them? No, i like italian food does that im trying to mess with their food? nope, be glad people like mexican food and stop bitching.

  • Um, your being lazy in making your pico de gallo. Everything is finely diced by hand, and you don't put corn in it.

  • & you should take any jewelry off during food prep its a breeding ground for bacteria

  • @cookingfordads I really appreciate what you're doing but your recipe is a bit odd to me (to each their own). Just wanted to give you a tip I learned in cooking school if you don't already know. I noticed your little cutting board sliding around it can be dangerous. It helps a lot if you dampen a paper towel and lay it out underneath your board. No more slips.

  • Thanks for the awesome video - how long is this likely to stay fresh in a fridge?

  • @QuickyBaby about a week because of the citrus, which is a great preserver

  • Nooooo all those good jalapeno seeds... noooo.......

  • nice knife where did you get it?

  • @toix48 That's my MAC knife and it really keeps its edge. You can get them at kitchen stores or on line.

  • @cookingfordads k thanks

  • @cookingfordads Are they good with Apples? No pun intended.

  • YUMMY...YUMMY....Thanks a lot for the recipe, my wife is Lithuanian and she is learning how to cook Mexican food. By the way...the jam tip is ok for her that she is not used to spicy food, but for most of us Mexicans adding jam is not such a good idea, but I understand your point.

    Once again..Thanks

  • @mlombardero Love to try her Lithuanian take on Mexican food. Tell her to keep going.

  • looks good.

but.. could i use red pepper oil instead of that halipenjo thingy or however you type it :p

  • Nice =)

  • Stems In because they are very bitter and give you a very awful taste if you happen to bite into one while eating the pico de gallo I should make a how to video myself but I don't have the ingredients or the reason to make some at the moment

  • Actually some of the things he dud I found to be incorrect I've been making pico de gallo my whole life and not once herd to put jelly in it it would sweeten it and sweet isn't the flavor your looking for and why is he putting them in the blender you only do that for salsa pico de gallo is supposed to be chunky that's why you dice everything up and leave it as cubes and at no point should you put the cilantro

  • @itzy2112 It's fusion man, go with it.

  • @cookingfordads no bell pepper please!!!! and definately NO Jam

  • I'm definitely going to try this one. How long is the shelf life if kept in the fridge?

  • @anclozano It should last about a week, let me know how it comes out

  • What a great video Thank you!!!!

  • Well this is definitely interesting. haha I am gonna have to try it. I was like omg when you put in the Strawberry Jam but, you never know it might be good, Thanks for the tips and video.

  • The minute i saw you take the seeds out of the jalapeno and only use one, I knew that this was not for me.

  • @radbcc you are probably south of the Mason Dixon Line, I am north, thus the disagreement about seeds. :-)

  • I take the tomatoes and cut the tops off. Than I put them in the broiler and roast them. The roasting burns the skin with adds flavor and it makes the tomato water come out. So your slasa doesn't come out watery.

  • @flubno That's a great way to do it. I just try and keep things as simple as possible, as long as they still work. thanks for the tip. See my roasted tomato sauce.

  • @flubno sounds awesome.

  • Those are some nice ribs.

  • @cipher2 ??? ribs?

  • @cookingfordads, yeah the green pepper ribs, mmmmmmmm. Cmon man.

  • @cookingfordads they were picking at you for calling the middle of the green pepper the ribs...

  • @bigmarv4life2006 Ribs actually is the right term

  • cookingforfags

  • You have that nice Santoku. Why do you need a food processor? Guess your knife skills suck.

  • @2dub2steady Who got up on the wrong side of bed this morning?

  • This recipe is horrible. That is not Pico De Gallo. What's wrong with you? Your sponsor pumps out frozen bags of sodium laden filth. Garbage. Hands down. Cook at home. Don't eat this fake trash. Grow your own sh$t. The Subway generation needs to learn how to garden and cook their own sh^t rather than buying these bags of hypertension inducing garbage.

  • @2dub2steady Who is my sponsor? I don't think this episode was sponsored, unfortunately. Pico de Gallo is a varied substance. But how do you really feel? :-)

  • @2dub2steady so ur saying because he didnt grow his own vegetables that makes the recipe suck? god trolls these days

  • oh lord the food is getting butchered

  • thanks,(:

  • the jam made mine taste like crap and i didnt even use that much

  • They should change the channel name to cooking for families with two dads.

  • My dad grew up in Minisota :D

  • @CommanderMike126 I'm sorry!

  • @cookingfordads Why are you sorry?

  • @CommanderMike126 Sorry that he grew up in MN.:-) That's where I'm from. (a little self deprecating humour.)

  • @cookingfordads Oh ok :D

  • Lime and jam wtf?? And no Garlic?

  • does it taste good? it smells really really fresh?

  • @XxPro2SnipexX It tastes incredible, one of my favorite things to make

  • Jam...Yummy! i need to try that, thanks for the tip!

  • there isnt the same texture when you use a food processor . Although Pico de Gallo takes more time cutting by hand I think its definitely worth it. For a really good salsa I would definitely put in the effort . If you make it right your friends will talk about it the rest of their lives.

  • cool thanks for the tutuorial

    you rock

  • Comment removed

  • That perma-smile makes me think you went to the grocery high.... That's my kinda guy. It also makes me trust putting green pepper in my pico.

  • @jophus82 You gotta put in green pepper. and trust me on the jam.

  • @cookingfordads Already did. I wasn't being facetious. I went to the store and picked one up and it made all the difference in the world. I'll try the jam next time. Thanks for uploading.

  • @jophus82 Well send me a pic!! message me for my email

  • One jalapeno???? You're kidding right?? Bell peppers, on my planet we just use jalapenos, tomato, and oinion, seeds and all.

I guess thats the way they make it in "Minnesota" with jam, please............

  • @chrisjazz10 Dude, I live in the midwest, most people don't use jalapenos at all

  • ugh i hate that. at the grocery shop they put the parsley right next to each other.

ugh i accidently got parsley one time. i was so pissed!

  • @nancycakes5 I know, that's so confusing. I feel your pain.

  • @cookingfordads ugh yes!i was making chicken flautas and i sprinkled parsely all on top of them. ugh! it was bad. lol >:)

  • i LOVE pico de gallo. so delicious!

  • youd never make it in texas,we leave the seeds in and we love it hot!!!!

  • @Tx1Rogue I wouldn't make it in TX for a whole variety of reasons. :-)

  • its a american fusion baby ;-)

  • @swan734 not ur a fag that salsa is nasty

  • And i will use the jam. There's nothing wrong with trying different things people. sheesh!

  • Your video is fun, entertaining and an all around very awesome. Being at the store was a good touch I'm going to go to the grocery store after work tomorrow and try it..

  • not bad its cool to see different ways to make it, i usually make the Tomatoes, Jalapenos, Onion, Cilantro, And Limon,

  • I definitely have to test drive that one...Looks excellent!

  • hay thats a great recipe and that jam makes it perfect you guys should try it really !

  • That is NOT pico de gallo!! You DONT use corn, and definitely not jam! Pico de gallo contains:

    Tomatoes

    Onions

    Jalapenos

    Cilantro

  • @amN0Tfat

I know what you mean, dude. Your's is authentic stuff.

  • lmao your definately gay

  • Then it isn't pico de gallo! And use serrano pepper! Don't use corn, don't use jam! Greetings from Mexico City

  • Not everyone does it the same way. It is not a big deal.

  • and Carlimuslis, you've got to try the Jam, it so rocks.

  • how many cups is that food processor

  • corn? jam??

The part of mexico where I'm from, yeah we don't use that..

  • it's american fusion, baby.

  • This is a great recipe! We mexicans don't use corn for our salsas...

Please come visit our youtube/dothemexican and watch how we prepare pico de gallo and many other mexican dishes.

    Greetings!

  • Nice vid

I like the recipe it is easy and healthy

    I will try it.

    ( i like ur show)

    alot of thanks

  • Now I heard that cherry tomatoes have the most flavor why not use those?

  • I have in the past, but they tend to be really juicy, so the salsa comes out a little runny

  • I tend to only dip my chips in the sauce rather than the chunky parts

  • dude awesome stuff u have here !! great videos !!! i'm 20 years old n lets just say that all these videos have helped a lot !!! THANX

  • looks good, ill try this.

  • thats a net trick.using the jam...luv ur vids

  • Looks good to me! Us Minnesotans don't like it too spicy! :) Gotta remove those seeds....

  • Mmmmmm fresh salsa. I've been putting salsa on everything pretty much for years. Out with the ketchup, in with the salsa. Never heard of adding jam before, I'll be trying that out, thanks! Does fresh salsa freeze well? I've never done it actually.

  • This is just superb!! I love Pico de Gallo!

    Thanks Rob!

  • "We are in Minnesota" so you take out all the seeds, thats totally awesome.

  • thanks again for the video...I'll have to send you some Kansas tomatoes sometime.

  • mikma was here
