  • Love it, I'm not diabetic, but I have always liked the principles of this type of diet for prevention.

  • Green tea may help diabetes a lot! Put tai chi green tea in the burger!

    I'd say there's a lot of sugar in that salsa.

  • using a term like "low carb burger" is like saying "chocolate-free broccoli". All burgers are low carb because they're meat. Just choose leaner meat (90%) and have a burger without the bun....no need for tofu. If you absolutely can't stand a burger without the bun then just slice off half of each side of the bun...cut your carbs in half right there. 15-20 carbs from a bun isn't gonna hurt a diabetic if you're eating it with all the protien/fat goodies of a burger.

  • Never heard of silken tofu but I'm really new to culinary. I'm Asian so Cumin is used in a lot of soups and base seasoning but I don't especially like the flavour.

  • Guacamole would be really good on that.

  • Looks delicious but I don't get the math. 328 calories? 8 grams carbs= 32 cals, 5 grams fat = 45cals, 28 grams protein = 124 cals so that means we get 32+ 45+ 124 which = 201 cals and that means 127 cals are ???from ??. Thhis always gets me because I try to estimate the cals based on weight and it just doesn't work out according to the way I've been taught, 1 gram of carb, protein=4cals, 1 fat =9 !!

    Any thoughts?

  • great recipe, I've tried cummin w turkey meat and it's a wonderful marriage, but the tofu, wow, its great!

  • I've had turkey burgers and veggie burgers before and this seems like a nice idea to try as well. :)

  • ground turkey just doesn't taste right, you have to go with beef

  • I also want to thank you for the diabetes site...very nice

    I had to go low carb and give up all breads and now improving. These recipes will help me a lot and get rid of that nagging depression that I get when soo deprived of good food. I can now enjoy life again.
