This song has so much emotion, so much meaning. One can't even imagine the pain he must've gone through when suicide turned his(David) world upside down. Suicide is serious, and the numbers are increasing. This quickly became of my favorite songs because i too have had someone close to me take their life, so I can sympathize with this song and video. This video is a Godsend for it's raw emotion and portrayal of suicide. Because this video is realistic. Maybe it will open people's minds.

It happened when he was a teenager. David's parents found out about a relationship he was not allowed to have, then she got all worked and commited suicide. As David said, she was obsessive compulsive and a heroine addict.

The whole wing of the story was meant to be the voice of the devil trying to convince him into taking his own life as well so that he could still be with her. If you listen closely throughout the chorus, you hear a low toned harmonization. Throughout the chorus, there are 2 different voices.
