A few people these days talk about the superiority of vinyl records. I remember, I got this album the day it came out, and both records sounded like crap. Pops and hisses and a big lump on one of them. The record store wouldn't take it back and exchange it. If I would have known what I know today, I would have known not to accept that , No refunds doesn't mean no replacement of defective items. When I finally heard this album on CD is was like - whoa! that's great.
Awesome live performance. I love the album version just cuz everythings balanced so you can hear every little note but none the less, great performance for such a difficult song to play repeatedly.
This is a seriously great song! Well performed, well orchestrated. Tells a whole story, lots of emotion and drama. Quite complex. I agree - a very under-rated album.
Wow! I always wondered if he toured in '77 with the band to promote Blue Moves. I new about the solo (piano) dates. I had a bootleg of it until an ex bitch girlfriend took it. This was the last classic albumn released. He was never really the same afterwords The track Idol sort of became autobiographical didn't it?
Good Lord, if in a billion years I could possibly put into words the degree to which I love this album with each and every inch and ounce of my heart, from "Your Starter For" to "Bite Your Lip." Critics be damned for all of their indifference toward Blue Moves; seriously, critics be damned.
if u get this u r in an elite group of rare people and i wish we could all meet somwhere and share our unique experiences it wud b majical. a lifechanging whirlpool of wisdom and enlightenment

Fantastic performance - great song! Very complex and fun to listen to. High energy, and it's one of his less-known classics, in my opinion.

@mikper7 I quite agree. One of the best and most diverse albums he's every done. Musically it is superb both in terms of the writing and the playing
