  • Love these vids, my friend Karl in Nelson New Zealand referred me to your vids. I like them because they are slow fluid and your techniques are easy to follow. great work.

  • Very nice video, thank you.

    To add a nice detail:

If you would like to buy a high quality staff (beginner to led/fire staffs) than HomeOfPoi is a good website for international sales.

    Google for HomeOfPoi (first hitt)

Referal code: Pieter7 Gives 15% off your entire purchase

  • hi,11mcp11.

euhm, i love u'r vids and i learned some stuff from u. and i have much respect for u'r skilzz ;) but i don't agree when u say that making u'r own (dragon)staff is kinda wrong. why would that be wrong? i c it this way: i don't have a lot of money and let's be honest, quality juggle equipment isn't cheap.so i've made my own firenunchucks and poi's because i just could'nt afford to order them. when u got the passion something's gotta give,u know? :) once again, much respect. grtz :)

  • owh my back and arms!

  • What do you use for the grip on your staves.

  • tell me pleace what is the length of the crosses on that particular staff?

On the official site it 's very variable and 45 is too much i think.... Seems like it will be very slow like that.

Just cant make a choise of the length ( i/am 1.74 cm )

  • Do you also perform contact juggling with ball?

  • Wow. That's a lot of inspiration to bring my contact staff skills up to the point of really being able to work a Dragon Staff. Thanks so much for making this!

  • Thanks for this vid. Very inspirating

  • But it is difference between contact staff and dragon staff. Dragon staff is simply longer - it has 168 cm.

  • @yamesoq

? Dragon staff has 5 ends / wicks on each side.

  • @11mcp11

Yeah.. Of course :) I assume that staff in this film is this one, which u use normally (so 150 cm lenght). Gora Dragon Staff is quite longer than normal contact staff so for example tricks such like caged steve, could be impossible to do, specially for smaller people ;) Because of the lenght.

So, I pointed that, it is some difference between training contact staff (usual 150cm) and GDS (168 cm - information from his web page) :)

BTW - great movie, very helpfull for me :)

  • @11mcp11 dragon staff is just a longer staff. its 9 feet long. At least the chinese one. maybe you are using a japanese dragon staff

  • @daltonliwanpo This isn't martial arts. Dragonstaff is what Gora.hu makes.

  • Just a small question - is it really that easy to play with a dragonstaff or is it just easy if you have still some skills with playing conctact staff?

  • @derPoiBenne

You need to have some experience with contact staff.

  • wow. i wont lie my jaw dropped a couple times. and you actually have a burn at the end!! amazing man. a live dragon staff performance would be INTENSE!!
