You can't compare The Simpsons to Family Guy. That's like comparing The Beatles to Marilyn Manson. Simpsons paved the way for shows like Family Guy. Seth has a way of writing that is lazy and unimaginative. They write the characters out of anything with "flashbacks" and lately he is just inserting the characters into old movies or shows, spoofing them. LAZY! Create your own stories. At least The Simpsons has that. The question is, "Will people still want Family Guy in Season 20? Doubtful.
