i have a quistion? My moisen is a 91/30 but it has a straight bolt and it was made in 1939. if you were a sniper would they change the bolt on the rifle
@ArtistNR I sure can :-) Ive found the full version too without that logo that ruins it! Do you still have my flickr link? I will have it up there recolored today or tommorow :)
I agree,I bought on of them scopeless 91/30 sniper rifles from samcoGlobal. com. Spent $100 on a mount and base and come to find out the damn thing will not fit. Just bought an original to save me the trouble
@SashaVedernikov It will fit, you have to shim/grind the mounts on the rifle. There are a few pages on the net to show you how. It will take time, and a good vice, but once you get it sighted, you will be a happy customer. When they originally sighted them at the factory it was a painstaking process, little by little, but then you have a great and proven set up! Thank you for you videos Sasha.
@myakkaa Indeed. It takes forever and a day to get those mounts ground just right. I gave up after a week of trying it, and gave it to a friend of mine who's a professional gunsmith. Took him 8 hours of work, but he got it to the point that it's perfectly aligned with the rifle. Works almost as well as '44 Tula that came with the serial number matching scope attached.
That said, the rifle you've got is a Yugoslavian Aid rifle, which is a very desirable weapon when scoped.
Hell yea! M91/30 outfitted with a 3.5x PU Scope! In my town,at sporting goods store, they sell Mosin-Nagant for $180 or 79$ if on sale. All I need is a PU scope, and I'll be set.
The rifle belonged to sniper Corporal Proshagin of the 92nd Infantry division - he destroyed 156 enemy soldier's over a period of 2 years fighting on the Leningrad front
Excellent compilation-I have a 1944 Tula ex-sniper (no scope, filled in mount holes) and this rifle is extremely accurate even with open sights...I can't believe that the 91/30 is STILL in use today!!! Thanks for sharing!
5* sasha,i've heard story of marie ljalkova-lastovecka,sniper was very tricky and hard task, mite look too easy from photos, doesn't show them hidden for days in field
Thanks petr! I heard one American veteran of the Vietnam war say he was in the bush when a group of NVA came in their spot, they were 5 feet from them,he said him and his partner were there for 2 days and couldnt move once! He was lucky they didnt see him eh,If they were caught I cant imagine what the NVA would haver done to them, ive heard some crazy stories of what the VC did to US snipers
here live many vietnamese people in cz ( they came study here and stayed for good) but they never wanted talk about that war.only remember crying vietnamese girls in cinema when "platoon" came here too
Thank you for watching :) the first song is the 1975 version of Proshaniye Slavyanki and the 2nd song is titled " Jubille March" This march was always played during parades in Moscow from 60-s up to 80s

Did the PU scope give a lot of zoom?
7commenter7 11 months ago
@7commenter7 3.5x zoom. Not a whole lot, but more than enough for the ranges it was designed to be used at.
