  • where is the tuner in g2.1u?

  • zoom (Japan project) and quite all electronics stuff, including Apple (US project), are made in China since about 1998.... Of course, they are good (expensive) and less good (cheap) productys. Chinese factories produce also high quality products..... This Zoom G2.1NU is honest, using it at home.

  • hey man i am confused between Digitech RP150 and Zoom g2NU. which 1 shud i buy?

  • should I buy this or G1XNext? which one is better? CANT DAMN DECIDE! h4lp!

  • Chinese food chinese guitars and now chinese effects units.

  • @KING20007009 Zoom in fact is Japanese...

  • @Kalvinjj Japanese Sushi Japanese cheap robots and now Cheap Japanese Guitar Processors ! (which surprisingly smells of sushi) XD

  • i got the saaaaameee

  • distortion on zoom multi-effect like a bit no-no for me -___- soory but it doesn't sound right in my ears

but I think their modulation and delay sounds okay

I never have this myself but a friend have the older version (G2.1u) and I tried it

  • piece of shit cake. BOSS is the BEST ever !

  • @r1tallica1r fractal owns boss ass.

  • i still wondering, it's better to plug it from amps front input or loop return?

  • @nobleblood100 definetly loop bro

  • @ThePyroslicer thanks bro...

  • What's the song at 2:25 ?

  • Guys Suggest some good processors ...... [i play iron maiden, Judas priest, nuclear assault, megadeth, etc] ... {Would this processor be good enough ?}

  • @Maidenize666 Line 6 multi-effects are great for metal. The Pod HD series might be what you're looking for.

  • Reviews like this are very helpful but they would be exponentially more helpful if the reviewers didn't play super cheesey shit. Makes a good product sound like you ran your guitar through a digital a pile of dog shit

  • It will work with a 15 watts marshall amp?

  • @rochif96 Sure. I don't see why not. It might not sound as good as you'd like, but it'll be fine.

  • what to buy, G2 or G3?

  • Could i use this product for live concert

  • zoom is the sound this little box will make when I throw it in the trash! Don't waist your money

  • legal

  • so,i can plug this in my PC and do a direct in recording?

  • i have this cheap guitar-amp combo - a black eleca guitar (strat copy) & a 15-watt amp w/ overdrive... i'm wondering what stompbox should i buy? i wanna buy a EH pocket metal or a BOSS metalzone or should i buy this kinda effect processor w/ dozens of effect in one? i'm wondering will shitty sound likely be produced on a cheap 15-watt amp no matter effects unit u bought???

  • The annoying thing about such videos is all these advertizing guys plug their guitars into expensive powerful amps that sound great without any processors or pedals. You connect this little Chinese invention called Zoom into a little home practice amp and it'll sound like total shit. I wish Zoom and the like were more honest about their products and wouldn't feed us all this commercially oriented BS.

  • @FreeKinker buy a decent amp? :)

  • @JCH34DR1PP3RCJ I am going to buy a decent amp bro.. BUT! I do think ZOOM must explicitly forewarn its customers that its pedals are crap when used with a small pratice amp or no amp at all. There are a lot of people out there who can't afford to have a 700 Watt tube Marchall in their bedrooms. These people are literally swindled out of their money when they waste it on a ZOOM pedal.

Hey ZOOM why not make a video of your pedal hooked up to some tiny thing? Don't have the stomach to, do you?

  • @FreeKinker yeah true but it sounds great through an Orange Crush Pix 35

  • @FreeKinker i mean, nothing sounds good on a practice amp. this is the peak of how good it can sound. youre being unfair

  • @GingerMcTavish You say nothing sounds good on a practice amp. That’s exactly what the dude in the video should have said in the first place. They should have put a warning sign in all caps at the beginning saying DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU HAVE A 1000-WATT TUBE AMPLIFIER SITTING IN YOUR BEDROOM. But they didn’t and so millions of practice amp people like myself were swindled out of their money buying this useless dud. It’s all just ZOOM’s ploy, and in my country we call it fraud.

  • @FreeKinker well im using zoom product since 2002 and i had zoom 505 which is still working , and i liked it very much... i played it live even on cheap amp called stranger and in both this small little effect processor rock. u need to work alot to get a better sound, if u dont read manual u cant even take better sound from POD HD 500, amps mater if u play hard distortion on ur small amp it might not take the load and the sound will break.

  • @FreeKinker

I have a Peavey Bandit 112 with a zoom infront of it and it sounds pretty rad.

The Peavey Bandit is only 300 euro. So you do not need a super expensive to make it sound good.

  • @FreeKinker Dude, it doesnt matter where its made, there must be a reason why zoom is still alive after so many years. These pedals sound amazing when connect straight into the PA system of a pair of good headphones. I already sold my amp and use it straight into monitor speakers, Sound awesome. That being said, I find the stock patches to be crap and the system is very sensitive to pickup types and output. I have a set of different presets for each of my guitars. Its not made to go into amps!

  • @FreeKinker Yeah, the distortion probably sounds pretty shitty through some imported off-brand 10 watt amp, but I have yet to see a multi-fx pedal that has distortion that people accept. Besides, everybody has different taste so everyone will think differently of this pedal.

It's made for fun, not use on profession equipment.

  • @FreeKinker same, im sure not every viewer doesnt have a 800€ charvel or i dont even know how good the cabinet was or if they plugged into a interface or something..

And a good player makes it sound better ofc

  • @FreeKinker So true! :(

  • @FreeKinker it totally depends on the quality of the amp man!

  • @FreeKinker I hate when someone says that "it sounds like shit plugged into a small amp bla bla bla". I have a Roland cube 15xl and it sounds perfect, even with insane distortion.

  • @InhumanStrings I had a Roland Cube 20xl and I threw it away because it would get on my nerves all the time with its digital howls. Now I use a tiny Russian-made Yerasov Gavrosh and am very pleased with it. Tastes differ, bro....:)

  • @FreeKinker I think the 'digital' sound has nothing to do with the cube. I've never had that problem. But yeah, you're right. Tastes differ..

  • @FreeKinker Hey, that's not true, I own the same pedal and I use it with a pretty cheap and small 15 watts yamaha amp, and it sounds as good as in the video. It's actualy a very good effect pedal, and it sound great even with only the headphones. It doesn't need a really expensive amp to sound good, trust me...

  • Sounds great clean, cool compressed sound. The distortion is too noisy... it really murders some notes. I think it'd make a good Effects Loop unit for anything but distortion.

  • @NicholasGreen91 Please remember that Guitar World over compresses their videos. It is a great processor!

  • @bigfish0886 Great point. This video is very ideal because I use a Charvel So Cal. Is there a video of this unit used with an amplifier's distortion with the Zoom in the effects return with no amp/cab settings enabled? Does the pedal create any coloring in the effects loop? I am very interested in a pedal for this purpose.

  • whats a looper can n e one temme?

  • i have the G2.1u effects pedal and i bought the G9.tt and i wasnt impressed. the console didnt work at all. so im considering getting this. how similar is it to the older G2.1u to the G2.1Nu? someone please get back to me with help.

  • @xxcannibalxchristian you've got a bigger screan, but the sounds are very similar to what hes demo-ing here. Very good reverbs, delays, the distortion can get allot mudier and grainier, here is around 60 from 100. also it got 3 compressors which can add gain if used with distortion.

  • alguém podia legendar???

  • can someone please help me I've had my Zoom G2.1nu for a year or two im not sure exactly how long but I found a website where you can download patches to the edit and share program, although im not sure how to get those downloads into the edit and share.. help please!

  • @aqstickgitarr Download the patches onto your computer, then hook up the pedal to your pc with the usb cable, make sure edit and share connects to your pedal(refresh if needed).Make a new group folder beside the "pc" icon in edit&share, right click an empty patch space and then press "import".You then select the patch you want from the folder on your pc where the new patches are stored.Once it is there you can copy and paste it into your user presets if you want ;)

  • @CatDieselPwr Great download info, just bought the unit. Any instruction on how to use the drum machine?

  • Tinny Clean sounds as usual from Zoom, but they make a kick ass Distortion..

  • @lautenschlageratMIC wel that should be common sense, if it has an out jack then it can be hooked up to an amp and mic'ed or simply connected to your PCs sound card via USB sound card. My question is that was the USB out on it used to record as well .

  • what is the name song at 2:24?

  • @Albatross93 While I am obviously slightly biased towards a G2.1nu because I own one (and love it to death), when I try to compare them fairly, I still find myself leaning towards the G2.1nu because you can have a whole chain of virtual pedals and effects, whereas the G3 can only use three simultaneous effects. So just keep that in mind while you're deciding. Good luck.

  • @TwitchyThePirate im going to buy a Axe Fx unit. Sounds amazing, very deep custom opions. and everytime a new effect or sound patch comes out they give it to you for free in an update instead of making another unit for us to buy.

  • @Albatross93 the new g3 has a updated next gen chip - i will buy it.

  • This thing is awesome!!!..........

  • does it have a wah wah?

  • @beethovenmetalhead It has as far as i know

  • I seriously love my Zoom pedal, I have the Plain ZOOM G2, and OMFG that screen on the new one wouldve made thinsg soo much easier for me... lol, Does the USB also let you record? or is it just for editing effects? it would be cool if it was also its own thing so i can stop using my 1/8 c

    Cord..

  • @sbuba90 Remember when youtube was free and you didn't have to pay for it .... Oh yeah right it still is! Yeah I know it sucks but all the ads are doing is keeping it free.

  • @sbuba90

Remember when a bottle of coke cost a dime?

Remember when men married women instead of each other?

Remember when you could travel without being strip searched?

Remember when immigrants had to become a citizens to live in a new country?

Remember when women were not allowed to vote?

Remember when electronics were made in America?

Remember when white people owned black people?

    Remember Bob Hope?

  • @morgenholz yes man i remember... and those were good tmes :)

  • @sbuba90 Remember when your mom was hot and everyone wanted to do her? Things change, stfu...

  • @lerlo yes you fucktard shithead things change, in fact my mother died 2 years ago. so before posting idiot comments like that think about it ok? stfu

  • @sbuba90 Remember when youtube cost money? yeah me neither. its cause of vevo and commercials that youtube is free. Shut the fuck up and deal with it. youtube riot my ass...

  • @Takaminelover25 It's very good in almost every stuation, and its good costruction ensure good reliability

  • hey man. One question. Let's say that for a track I need two presets. a clean and an overdrive. Can I change with one knob from one to another? Thank you

  • This guy plays great!

  • nice mixolydian mode bro

  • sounds good live?

  • @xMtysx02 and is good for metal?

  • Hey I have one but a question can u connect a Morley power wAh to dis and how

  • hey with the looper can u can recorde for aslong as u want or just like five seconds??

  • @jhonnyfifafreak11 exactly 5 seconds

  • own it .

  • hey is there any dfference between the Zoom - Guitar Effects Pedal - G2 and this one??

  • @jhonnyfifafreak11 the g2 doesn't have the expression pedal

  • Proud Owner :)

  • Fantastic!!!

  • Would anybody tell me wich scale did he use to play the first improvisation ????? Please and thanks

  • @GpHeavymetal in the beginning he is playing around E mixolydian, it's the scale of E major but with the note d natural instead of d sharp

  • should i go for this or the boss me 25?

  • I wonder what this would sound like live..hmmm

  • @Leeboysme

It would sound like whatever you would make it sound.

  • i want this charvel soo fucking bad

  • @synchroflip123 Well buy it, it's only 899 at Musician's Friends.

  • @sartaajhussain We just have a difference of opinion. I can tell after just a few notes and certainly after no more than 4 measures what any particular patch sounds like. ... That might sound a little haughty and I don't mean it like that at all. Bottom line, it's a good pedal. You would have to spend hundreds of dollars (and I have those too) to get individual effects to match what you can do with one multi-effect pedal.

  • Can you bypass the amp modeling and just use the effects?

  • @Marshallstack3203 Yes you can! I use one of them in send and return as a expression pedals, and environment effects...in some cases I use also the noise suppressor.

    This pedal worsk great!

  • I bought mine via Amazon.com. $182.50

  • I LOVE ZOOM pedals. I have 5, including the G2.1Nu. But, as usual Paul plays WAY too much. Ok, we get it, you can play.

  • @arethosemypants Hi!how much did you bought your g2.1nu and where? i'm looking for one

  • @arethosemypants it's a demo. he's supposed to be playing alot. =P

  • That Chorus one (with reverbs in it)

is a real cuttie stage sound...

  • I have this processor and I can surely say its awesome. The built-in effects are really good and you can create your own tones. I have created the Master of Puppets interlude tone by modifying the PdlWAH effect and its the same as kirk plays!!!

  • haha I have G2.1u.. it's almost the same except for the LCD borrowed from Line 6's interface, right down to the orange color lol :) phasing out my model and calling this new.. "nu". Very clever marketing:)

  • @moronslave Haha that's a good point, never realised lol Mate I'm considering getting this to get a nicer sounding guitar recording so I can get some covers done, is the guitar recording from it good do you know? Thanks for any help!

  • Paul your fast dude.. any guitar lessons dvd out?

  • epic guitar and good tone.

  • I need a delay and a chorus and I am considering the G2NU since the drum machine could turn out to be really handy, as well as the looper, as far as home use is it's purpose mainly. I am going to use it with a 6505+, so I won't be using any distortion models. Is it worthy or should I get 2 separate pedals instead? It's all about saving money... :/

  • @dimgrav i think you should get this one as a delay pedal is pretty expensive. also in the future you may realize that you need more effects than just chorus and delay :)

  • @kostismv Thanks for the advice dude

  • i think it would be cool to have a pedal with an emulated pre and power amp section with assignable effects for each. that way i could use a screamer in front of the actual distortion etc...

  • I guess there's still that trademark Zoom compressing/muffling tone suck feature. Haha.

  • you look like Ted Gowans

  • PLEASE SOME ONE WOT IS THE SONG AT 5:05? PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME!!!

  • @guitardo2 who gives a shit? He does good demos.

  • @svenzia It's true

  • Is the Zoom G2.1Nu better than the G7?

It sounds really good. I've got a G2.1u here. Is it a good deal to sell it to buy a G7? Will it sound better?

Or is it better to keep the G2 for Chorus, Volume and Reverb only and buy some separate stompboxes for the other sounds?

    Thanks!

  • muy buen pedal.... pero falto hacer mas cosas??? k creen ud...

  • i thing it's a very bad zoom machine demo by this guy

  • when the guy says let me show you a few of the effects, does anyone know what the third song is or was it just freestyle cos i really wana learn how to play. nice video mate!

  • would it work with a bass? i've got a boss guitar pedal that works with bass and i'd like to get a multi fx pedal

  • @sidtheslothful I wouldnt personally, as most of the models would be aimed specifically towards standard guitar. zoom do offer a lot of Bass exclusive multi effects, most of which will be considerably cheaper than this one... Shop around. Zoom B2, digitech BP, Boss ME series, Line 6 XT, X3 etc... all offer brilliant bass FX for all types of musician...

  • @sidtheslothful i tried but i sounded awfull.

  • Do i need to have a good amplifier to use this multi fx or is it enough to have an amplifier like the line 6 spider IV ?

  • @MrPopey94 You dont NEED a good amp, but unless you want to sound like this guy save up and get a decent one

  • @Felderoth thx but my boss me-25 is already coming ;)

  • 5:40 FTW!!!

  • can i use this for death metal ??? i bought one last week/.... tnx

  • can you use the pedal as some sort of medium to record whatever your playing to the computer?

  • @serazac25 I have one, and I think it can be used with the usb interface and bundled software for recording; however, I haven't tried it myself yet. It is an amazing pedal. I love it, and at most I've only used half of its features so far. It can do sooo much. The only thing that could be improved is if the looper could do more than five seconds. However, for its cost and how good it sounds, you can't complain.

  • @TwitchyThePirate thank you! I have this digitech, but not user friendly, the Expresion pedal is a real pain, how good is it on the ZOOM? does it have some sort of on/off button whenever you press the pedal?

  • @serazac25 Yes, you can. I own one and I've recorded with it before, but if you're considering buying one make sure you have some sort of output device (such as an amp or headphones with the guitar-sized jack) to monitor the sound of the guitar while recording. You cannot monitor it thru your computer speakers and therefore the amp or headphone is needed. Great effects and features for the price!

    Cheers. (:

  • Hello ..... how about the sound of the PV 5150 ?

  • @SuperFuckingRock I think it sounds really good, i've never played on an actual 5150, so i cant make a comparison, but the amp model sounds pretty damn good to me

  • @codeman11845 hey ¡¡ Thanks i want sound like eddie i like his dist.

  • I had a zoom g2.1u and it was just awesome but unfortunately it broke and now that i have to buy a new one i guess i will buy this one. I have two effects processors in my head right now, zoom g2.1nu and line 6 floor pod plus, they seem similar but zoom is cheaper and i guess that in this case it doesn't meen worse. I only have one question is the expression pedal any good? For example when you're using wahwah does it get the job done? because on the g2.1u it wasn't as good as i was hoping for!

  • I played that guitar today in samash that guitar is insane

  • My Zoom GFX-5 is wreck, It's time to get a brand new one

  • is that his riffs well im not impressed but with the pedal i thumbs up

  • What's up with the Tremelo on this Charvel? It's not like the one on my Charvel. Is it a Floydupgrades?

  • @BrianKeeley

yeah it is, but how can you tell theres an upgrade?

  • @BUFFW Hey Bud! After I posted that comment I remembered Paul had the upgraded block put in that Charvel but the whole trem looks different than mine. I have the same guitar and the trem looks different. Maybe he had the whole enitre trem upgrade and not just the block?

  • I own one. I haven't managed to use all of the features yet. But it's amazing.

  • cool charvel... =P

  • what song does he play at 2.35?

  • what's the model of the guitar?

  • @thalesguitar1 i know tha it is a charvel san dimas, but i don't know exactly what it is

  • Or, you could spend $30 on a digitech GNX1 like i did.

  • Great to use at home for practise plug a pair of headphones in and practise without disturbing anyone.

  • Man i don't know about anyone else, but I love how Paul has really evolved as a player over the past years.... He's definitely a Tier-One shredder now. Kudos man rock on \m/

  • @SpeedyGreen Thats what happen to someone who plays to something like a million angry guitarists per week! lol

  • i cant myne to soundas good as that

  • This sound good, I have to admit. I was not expecting that.

  • Just as cool as its predecessor, but still sounds very digital, with a very digital noise reducer and effects. Probably best bang for the buck though, especially if you're into experimenting and also juicy distortions (on a really tight budget). Should be quite easy to use and fun. But if you swear by good sound, purity in the digital world, try the pocket POD or a Vox tonelab instead. If all fail, then shut up and go with analog pedals ;-)
