I think I'll try separating my hair into more sections and see if it works for me. The wash 'n' go is my most feared hairstyle, so maybe this will allow me to make it work. :)
Very helpful vid! I have really thick hair also and I will try this technique when I try a wash n go again. Do you have a lot of issues with SSK's since you mainly do wash n go's? I think this is what scares me from trying them more often.
I am new to your channel and I LUV your hair. It looks exactly like my hair only my curl pattern is a bit different. I am loving your hair color. what color? what brand? It seems like you are busy but can you do a break down of your routine and the products you use.
@damphatty Thanks! I have another video that explains my hair color - it's henna that I did on dyed hair. It's called FAQs: My Hair Color and Izzy Blown Out I think. Sorry, YT won't let me put links in the comments. And do you mean my whole hair routine? This video is pretty much it, lol! I have a post on my blog that lists my holy grail products as well. The only other thing I do is DC 1-2 times a week. Hope that helps!
i love that you did a tutorial, that's exactly how i do my wash and go too!! i love the thickness of your hair (i do less sections cos my hair is not as thick!). Girl, i need to say THANK YOU for putting me onto Donna Marie's Curling Creme, i love that stuff, in my top 5 definitely! :)
@louloumatou You're welcome! And see, y'all thought I was playing about the thickness of Izzy...she is a mess, and I think she is in the stage where she is getting thicker rather than longer....sigh.
@denimpixie Thanks for the infos, I want to dye my hair, but I don't want to use the chemical in my hair, I tried Henna twice, it's great for strenght but not really for the color, I can't really see it. I may have to try the henna body art. Have a bless night hun
@outreachfamily2009 Ah, gotcha. I only use BAQ henna, and if you don't want to damage your hair you might want to try semi-permanent dye - I didn't find it drying.
This is how I always do my hair...any purchases on BF ? I went loco and got way too much Im even ashame to list them lol; the best part is we have a new hair and body natural product boutique in MD they were having a sale so I had not excuse but to go
Thanks for sharing. Your hair is really pretty. After it dried, was it crunchy or have a crisp feel to it? I just wonder about the gel, usually it has that effect.
Thanks for the tutorial. I think it turned out great! I think you said you were going to use pure whipped jelly? Could you tell me the brand of that product? And you said you don't use Afroveda, is this because it doesn't work for you anymore? The reason I asked is because my cousin (she has a texturizer) used to be faithful to Afroveda but she said it doesn't work for her anymore. Thanks!
@TwistedNaturally The PWG is by AfroVeda - it's not that they don't work for me, it's that I do not support the company since her prices have increased over 100% in the past year, and she claimed to make her products from scratch and a lot of them ended up being made from bases. I can't support dishonest business practices. The gel I used I bought last February, and that was my last order with them.
@denimpixie -Oh, okay, well before I read your comment, I went to the site just to browse & I saw the Gelly but I won't be purchasing anyway mainly because the ingredients aren't listed (I'm really sensitive to some herbs) & the price is too high for a gel in my opinion. Thanks for the reply.
Could you wet bun your hair at this point? Just curious as to approximately how long it took to do a bun after BC'ing. Thanks!!

@kamaia16 I get SSKs, but not many because I keep my hair moisturized. I also do search and destroys and snip them when I find them.

oh my, i thought that first clip was pair of scissors and I just freak out a little bit. LOL.

@MsMorenazaa Yes, I really like the Cocasta oil, and their gelly, but the shipping takes forever and most of the time it's not really worth it to me.

@1221tam Thank you! No, with this particular gel, my hair was not dry or crunchy. It has a pretty soft hold.
