  • what lens was used to get this kind of aperture?

  • I feel like it still has that wobble look in the image when it moves, like in 0:25 , otherwise a great camera for fixed point HD recording. This is just my opinion, if anyone wants to elaborate please feel free to do so and let me know, I'm open to all opinions. :)

  • PERFECT!

  • What do you recommend the D5000 or D3100?

  • @Miriamgf12 D5000 !

  • @Miriamgf12 seriously??? D5000 or D3100? is that a question? lol... jk... D5000, or get the new D5100...

  • Good ol Akhiabara

  • JAPAN !

  • hey ...i realy want this cam....

  • the Nikon's ring is peeling off in the beginning.

  • heyy:) im trying to decide on whether detting a nikon d5000 and a nikon d3100, personally which do you recomend for better picture and video quality..or can you not record videos w/ a d3100 ?

  • @Hunnymuffin321 If you are wanting to shoot more video then the d3100 is for you. The d5000 apparently has superior image quality for stills but lacks in some film features that the d3100 is capable of. For example, it can auto focus whilst recording and has the ability to shoot in 1080p but if you go for the d5000 it doesn't do either. However, I should point out that I have given a brief summery of the main features the d3100 has against the d5000. Have a look at the specs! :D

  • @Weegie247 thank youuuu! this was very helpful..im not really worried about recording videos i would rather have the camera with the better picture quality..once again thank you so much :D

  • @Hunnymuffin321 Also I should point out that pros dont use autofocus usually. I use JVC HD110s at my college and we use manual focus all the time. Also the d3100 doesnt have a flip out screen. You should also take into consideration that the d3100 and d5000 and models below it will not be able to focus and AF lense and will have to be an AFS lense or similar. This is due to the models not having built in focus motors to focus the lense so rely on the lense to have motors = expensive lenses! D:

  • woah! they still sell that lens? what video converter did you use please?

  • Wow, check out that D90's lens, that looks messed up big time.

  • all i can say is WOW... watch it in HD..

  • Dows japanese use normal arab number letters like us, or those ziggity zggity signs?

  • dose this camera have DOF preview and can you change the metering type with you eye to the viewfinder?

  • @Pugyxandrew

i dont know if you can change the metering type in the viewfinder, but while filming you MUST use the liveview...

you can adjust the DOF with the lens ofc. there is no autofocus while filming.

the movie format is nice btw, its .avi but also supported on mac (imovie/iphoto)

  • @Tjekr thanks!

  • @sirajrizvi nikon d5000 because nikon is much better than canon and this camera right there is a very good one !

  • great for depth of field, but as soon as you move your camera then its goes so wrong

  • What happend with he camera at 0:04 ?

  • I am not a photographer but I just need something nice for quality images. Is there anyone who can tell me if I should get this D5000 or should I just go for Canon Rabel T1i. They both are around the same price and the specifications are almost the same .. I like D5000 but it has 12.3 mexapexel while Canon is much higher in pixel. Canon T1 has 15.1 pixels. Does that make a difference or what? Please let me know if you are a photographer. I like high quality images. I needed it for my new hobby!

  • @sirajrizvi Hi, it depends on how big you want your image to be, for example, 12.3 megapixels is more than enough for your computer, but if you are making big poster size images, you might need more pixels, but if you don't need that many, they will just waste memory. D5000 is cheaper, and matches the T1i in basically everything.

But it sounds like a D5000 would be good

  • @sirajrizvi Have a go for the D3000 great camera for stills !!

  • @sirajrizvi

I was stuck deciding on the same two cameras. I ended up with the Nikon at the end because of the feel of the camera and ergonomics.

  • @sirajrizvi Unless your making really huge prints I don't think the 2.8. also, Unless you need the movie feature you might want to get a D3000 or a lower Canon.

  • im glade you did this im buying this camera and i wanted to see wat the video was like thank you so much

  • is it normal for the little green light to flash for a second when i attatch or remove the lens on the d5000????

    cheers

  • @xx74g5 yeah thats normal!

  • shaky

  • Wow, it's amazingly different when watched in HD mode!

  • le riprese con nikon d5000???

  • how to you do that focusing where it is focusing the object in the front then focuses on the object in the back?? please help! thanks

  • In video or just standard pictures? Because to do that you would have to take off auto focus and do it manually i believe, but I think there is a function on the camera... :P

  • you focus with the lense the camera dosent focus while recording and you can switch into manual focus and control it

  • you need a lense and you focus with the outer ring by twisting it to bring the object in front into focus or the background into focus.

  • In video mode there is only manual focus, so you can chose what to focus on yourself by turning the focus wheel on the lens.

  • @360bmx720 By putting the lens onto manual mode (close to the lens mounting button) and then focus it by hand.

  • does nikon have good hd video?

  • which one better?

nikon d5000 or canon eos 500d?

    i need your help

  • d5000.

  • d5000 by far for pictures! Google nikon d5000 vs canon t1i pick the very first link, it shows side by side pictures, and the nikon blows it away

  • 500d for image quality d5000 for the vary angle screen

  • @aimanni99

i have d5000 and its just amazing.

i think the canon is more of a family camera, i think.

  • @nat0000ham Nikons are more professional cameras, and canons are more for a family... imo

  • OMG.. 0:07 what happened to that lens on the D90 ???

  • this is an prefect when you actually watch it in hd

  • WATCH IT IN HD BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING!

  • Video of the year !

  • ooh nice..............

  • man, the framerate sucks!

  • for this video ? of for this camera ?

  • That JELLO EFFECT is pretty prominent!
