You are an idiot. For the 1st time in history rtflores said that afsd was an idiot. Now, does that make it so? Of course not...can you see the logic? Yes, unless you happen to be an idiot!
Ah! Good of you to respond on behalf oh hokeyy! "The first time in history" matters, when talking about a process that has defined military spending for over 100 years. As for the generals? Many of them served under Rumsfeld, you idiot, until recently. Including Iraq. Yes, their voices matter. They speak for the many who have not yet retired, believe me. Read the article. Ummm..Idiot!

It figures dems, masters at October surprises, using MJF this way. dems used the funeral of Sen. Paul Wellstone, as a campaign pep rally. In Tom Harkin's eulogy he urge the crowd to "stand up for Paul" and talked about "passing on Paul's legacy" and to win the Senate election "For Paul" — statements that drew loud cheers and were interpreted by some as overt political references and inappropriate for a funeral service.
Democrats didn't use Wellstone's memorial, that was entirely a distortion of FOX News and conservative talk radio. In regards to MJF, the doctor who prescribed the medication for him said that the way he was acting was the expected result of the medication.
TheMyCrap: You saw the coverage and didn't see the inappropriateness...speaks volumes about your mental faculties, ah, make that lack of mental faculties. Ever heard of the concept of objectivity? Score the point for me!!!
What Rick Kahn said was wildly innapropriate. He was giving a eulogy for his best friend and went too far.
Then, the entire next month on the news, it's nonstop "Democrats hijack Wellstone's Memorial for Political Gain." The Democrats had no idea what Rick Kahn was going to say and issued an apology to the people who were offended by his comments the next day, adding that he had no affiliation with the Democratic Party. How is that partisan?
United States Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa is a democrat...he was there...as a speaker...sounding like a cheerleader on the campaign trail. And yes...he had an idea what he was going to say!!!
What did Harkin say that you found objectionable? He was sounding like a cheerleader, but what he was saying was "keep fighting for the things Paul Wellstone believed in." Many of which were being fought for by Democrats and Republicans alike. The people in that arena were there because they loved the things Paul Wellstone stood for and fought for. There's no partisanship there. It's called humanity.
Bush is a joke. And all the republicans can do is go back to Clinton and try to point fingers. Face it, you guys are in office now, no the democrats, and its your party thats fucked up the deificit, and the world as we know it. Go fight the war for your boy George and your beloved party, oh are you just an over opinionated pussy? Face it cheney and Co. are the most corrupt people in history. Shit flows downhill, and im sure we are not done hearing about the shit these guys have done.
My dog has fleas. He can't keep from scratchin, poor dog. dems want to find a cure for fleas. They care. gop don't care. gop don't want to find a cure. gop don't care if he scratches all the time. Vote dem, not for the hard hearted, inhuman, gop. gop have no heart. My dog is really scratchin. He's scratchin up a storm. gop don't care. Don't vote for gop. See my dog scratchin. Vote for dems, they are good, they care. gop don't care. Bush lied. He betrayed this nation!
rtflores,LMAO! That sounded like 1 of the interviews after Katrina! ha ha! "Ah ain' leavin' mah house so's Gawge Bush can come along an' tho' it in da wahtuh aftah ahm gawn!" ha ha ha!
susan: On the contrary, i've heard HD plans to offer Republican supporters free proctological exams because it is obvious they enjoy supporting those who turn around and f*** them.
That is precisely on point. If the Republican supporters on here were actually benefitting from the policies of the admin, things would make sense, but they're not benefitting!! They vote contrary to their own interests! It's actually very weird . .
nicoless my vagrant friend, you oviously share the same computer in the public library with tour hobo comrad Wheredawhitewomen. Do you also share the shower facilities? Wal-Mart is now hireing if you're not allergic to honest labor! They have two openings in the shoveling shit department, I think it would be the perfect fit!
You say some interesting stuff but may have IMO overreacted. In some sense Carter was a victim of some of the same things as Bush-- events beyond his control which he had difficulty dealing with and which further spiralled. However, Bush (but esp. those who were influencing him) went gratuitously into Iraq. And IMO the attacks on civil liberties can't be compared to any action of a previous president (even the Japanese internment). But there are no devils and no angels.
Ah yes, of course it is just "in your opinion" because it isn't based in fact. Carter was a victim of stupidity and pacificity. Isn't it amazing that, while Bush is a fool, his economic policies (or his cabinet's) have turned the economy around and pushed the dow to record heights? And isn't it just as amazing that everything crashed and burned under Carter, yet prospered under Reagan?
The attacks on civil liberties can't be compared? Crack a history book once in a while. Look up FDR's court packing, his destruction of the 1st, 4th, yadda yadda, Amendments (Japanese internment ring a bell?), Kennedy's vote fraud (remember how dead people voted for him in Chicago?), and Clinton's assault on the 2nd Amendment, his destruction of Waco (they've since proven that nothing illegal was going on), the murders at Ruby Ridge, etc. etc.
lol, you're going back to FDR?? Kennedy's vote fraud you're comparing to the current undercutting of very basic protections? You are pointing out individual instances, rather than a huge sea change in basic civil rights. Your black and white rhetoric, e.g., "crashed and burned," just completely invalidated anything you have to say. You can argue with yourself.
Ah yes, typical fallacious reasoning by the 12 year old: Those "individual" instances (precedent court rulings and federal law) were not minor, fair child :)
"Just completely invalidated what you said." Oh really? How so? It's amazing that you never say anything substantive, or provide evidence in refutations. But then again I guess you can't :)
Its sad, Democrats have lost there base, to the ultra left, God hating, baby killing liberals, If only they would take there party back from these sick people, I would vote Democrat again, atleast Bush has a vision, and is a moral man, Republicans have my vote this election.
This is what I feared would happen. The decadent, dope smoking, free sex, if it feels good do it, war protesting, hate America hippies from the sixties getting involve in the political process in America. They left their protest rallies and love-ins and headed for the leadership positions of the present day democratic party.
Well, they really didn't leave the protest rallies and love-ins, but they do head the dems today!.
If Al Gore was president and the Democrats had a majority in congress right now even if things were exactly the same you would be screaming your ass off about how the democrats had ruined the country. And I would be defending them. Partisanship at its best...
myrkat, talk is cheap buck-wheat. And your dilusional notion that algore has the chones to stand up and fight evil is without equal! But it was good for a laugh.
There is no more room in the debate for idiots like this guy rtflores and hokeyy. Like their former leaders, they are yesterday's bad news, and no longer worth the time it takes to point out their lies, their inaccuracies, their racism, and their corruption.

If Al Gore was President he would've been impeached the minute republicans had a majority for failing to keep our country safe on 9/11. You know its true.
No, neither I or every other normal person "know" nothing of the kind as in fact, the very idea of algore being head of the mightiest nation on earth to begin with is it's own joke.
As to the second part, the same is true of our current President. We haven't had a decent candidate since '96. And he had to go blow that...or should I say get it blown?
I think he was pretty clear that his goal was to get out the entire content of the party platform and let others do the debating. Is that too complicated for you or are you just being demonstrative of the futility of debate with zealots like yourself?
PornQueenxxx: Leaky Patrick Leahy that had to resign his Intelligence Committee post after he was caught leaking secret information to a reporter. The leak was considered to be one of the most serious breaches of secrecy in the committee's 28-year history. After Leahy's resignation, the Senate Intelligence Committee decided to restrict access to committee documents to a security-enhanced meeting room.
Yea, can't wait until he gets more power. That is a vulgar prospect...pure pornographic!

you people are too funny... democrats or republicans... they are all puppets for the corperate intrests that fund them... open your eyes... what party is in power will have no effect on the "direction" of american polotics. I think it's better to have a republican who is pissing people off than a democrat that is doing the same things under the cover of the media... my 2 cents
No, it is better to give the other party power because that is the only chance for change, even if it is a small one. And you think the Reps aren't under the cover of the media? Unless they send nasty messages, you're dreaming.
Here Here!!! They hate it when the truth comes calling. Hart to handle things you can't denie. Surely they'll make up some more lies to justify all the good things they've done thus far. Kinda glad they've done little to nothing since what they want to do REALLY scares me!
Once again, someone willing to pass on what they've heard without a bit of factual evidence. Bush may have made better grades, I don't know about that but I do know how he got inand who paid for his education. That's the question, enough money and the sky is the limit, that scares me too. 4.0 average and never went to class, Wow now that's an education.
Fellow UTubers, I'll not even attempt to answer such statements. Surely, you've answered any questions someone might have. Clearly, you're a very smart and informed American, who would dare to question you. Can you say HATE! Bet you can, seems your ability to do that is very clear. (to bulmer13 and his followers).
I can say hate...when I ask a question though, I usually use a "?", unlike you, dumbass. I can say hate and will prove it: i hate liberals who are pushing for policies that protect the "rights" of terrorists, I hate Muslim fanatics and liberal fascists who want to impose their way of thinking on me and my way of thinking, I hate Sundays before a LONG work week, I hate women who nag and whiney little bitches like CAJUNNSC...most of all CAJUNNSC.
And I'm sure Dean could mop the floor with Mehlman. He is so bright and to the point albeit a bit abrasive.
The Republicans really have accomplished nothing but great division, needless bloodshed and worldwide hatred. I can't wait to get our country back. It going to need a lot of fixing. I pray for our soldiers every day.
bombasticChrissies: Yea, the gop has created great division by opposing every thing the dems have supported in congress. My mistake...switch the words gop and dems in the previous statement. Why can't we all just get along? dems are jackasses=muleheadedly stubborn
Bush is a joke. And all the republicans can do is go back to Clinton and try to point fingers. LOL im sorry, i know the truth can be tough to handle, but really i thought you might reply with something semi intelligent. Im gunna go work out and GET OFF THE COMPUTER, how many times have you posted on this one video??Get a life bro.
drunkena**hole, No, YOU are a joke. "Try and point fingers?" Please refer your lamentably short memory to the post entered by phillydog99 that opens with "This guy is a nut." And re-address your position about TRYING to point fingers. And RE:"not done hearing/sh*t reps have done", Like the full disclosure we were given about White Water or john kerry's "war" records? Your full dress acrimony is the stuff of un-distilled hypocracy.
You mean like Bush? If it weren't for "liberals" this country wouldn't exist. Have you enlisted to go fight? Oh wait you must be a chicken shit coward then.
President Bush severely criticized for his role in the domestic NSA wire tap program; Close advisor Karl Rove deeply involved in the same investigation that indicted Scooter Libby; Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has been severely criticized for his role in the torture memos.
RE:BASEBALL's swinging out of the strike zone. The inside term there is WIFFING and that is a pretty close desciption of BB's thought processes, such as they are.
BASEBALL: Your fascination with superlatives "severely", "deeply", "severely" really add weight to your post. NOT! Couldn't think of but two huh, had to use one twice!!!
Vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff Scooter Libby resigns after being indicted on felony charges of obstruction of justice, perjury and making false statements in the CIA leak investigation
Charges that have not been proven to be true. I guess in your world, Innocent until Proven guilty only applies to Socialist Democrats. Toss out the Constitution.
You can't critize MJF...he is a victim of a terrible disease. He did an amazing job with that leftist politcal ad and all though, I mean he spoke much clearer and did not stutter, mumble, bumble, or scream like Howard Dean who does not have the disease. I don't think he has it. If he does I apologise.

I find dems in all their infinite knowledge that they have no wisdom, whatsoever. They blindly follow their party. What good is knowledge when you have no idea how to use it conventionally? That's one reason you guys LOOK so WEIRD. You guys claim to be so smart yet you follow the most idiotic ideals. Then, you just look stupid.
mjtanner, Once again, proof that libs can't grasp the meaning of even the simplest of words. So once more I recommend looking the word LIE up in the dictionary, preferably PRIOR to spouting some tired, inaccurate, sophmoric jingle.
Well, there's a run on sentence in this particular window with your handle on it. I'm not even going to bother looking for others since the election is over and I won't really be giving a damn about you or any other bigoted asshole for at least eighteen more months.
Wasn't it you that was berating klmann's use of language in what was also a bigoted slur. Here we go again with more neocon hypocrisy. Damn, I'm glad you people have lost your monopoly on power.
Here's why? How long have these libby-lib stalwarts been around? Ted Kennedy (43 years!), John Kerry (21 years), Robert Byrd (47 years!), Dan Inouye (43 years!), Joe Biden (30+ years), Arlen Specter (25 years), Carl Levin (27 years), John Murtha (32 years!), John Conyers (41 year!), John Dingell (fossilized at 51 years)! No corruption here?
Maybe so. Which party is in the biggest need of a good douche all it's corrupt members, so the PAC's in Washington can't buy any more votes? Republicans.
The neo con hacks just keep hacking away. The point is the neocons have run this country into the ground divided the world. Nothing to debate. BUT STAY ON MESSAGE NEOCONS INSIGHT FEAR,STAY THE COURSE, WE'LL FIND WMD'S, WE'LL HIDE GAY CONGRESSMEN AND COVER IT UP. neocons are the lowest of the low

Man this country is so divided. I don't think we stand a chance angainst terrorist acting like this. If I got a penny for everytime someone is cursed at for being on an opposing party I'd be rich.
How much do they pay Republicans shills to spam those comments? For 20$ Ill say "stay the course" or even deny that I just say it, as long as they give me a share of the loot they stole.
We don't want debate. What the country really needs is Liberal propaganda. If we debate, conservative ideas will be heard. Why would we want an open conversation with pure hate, pure evil. What a loser.
Brettidiot: That's not what we're there for....it's a result. The Iraqi's desire to be free, as in give me liberty or give me death, if you can grasp that concept. But you probably think Bush forced them to come out by the millions to vote for a government of the people, by the people, and for the people...even though the enemies threatened to blown them up or gun them down if they did.
debate is a dynamic process where issues can be brought to the attention of the audience and then measures can be made to resolve them. he just wants no opposition to the rhetoric he can spill out. notice how that question alone left him in disarray and unable to even speak properly while responding because it was against his planned rhetorical propaganda.. caught you off guard did we mister gladiatorial?
MR DEAN dont LIE. We all know YOU love it the gladiators. Be they gay, They might be. ANd MR dean KNows for a FACT that he is gay, And he likes to suck a big wang. Its not my fault. Did i accuse him of being gay. No i merely suggested it.
The US is the greatest country in the world. Shouldn't we be setting an example for others to follow? What kind of message is this sending? We put Nazis in jail for their war atrocities, now we're saying that actually, it's ok if we do it.
kweedly: The message is that we won't allow another islamo-terrorist to blow up one more American if we can help it. And pretty please with a cherry on top won't do it.
That is what the Democrats, the ACLU, and their high powered attorneys want us to think. I promise it will never happen and is strictly to send a message to the voters. Democrats are very desperate because Bush is ACTUALLY doing a good job. That's all.
Polls show the American public is completely tired of having republicans in charge. The Republican party is self destructing and every day it gets worse for them. Even if Dean destroyed Mehlman it wouldn't change much. If Mehlman destroyed Dean on the other hand, things could turn around for the Republicans. If you have nothing to gain by winning and everything to lose by losing, why compete?
Ah yes, by all means let's base our actions using "polls" as our guiding light. (keeping in mind of course that these "polls" represent the public as a whole) YEAH, RIGHT.
Polls have accurately predicted how the public will vote in elections consistently for a very long time.
To revise my original statement: Polls show that many Republican incumbents are seriously threatened this year. The democrats will gain significant ground in both the House and Senate barring a serious democratic embarassment, such as would occur if Mehlman crushed Dean. The Democrats wouldn't gain much if Dean crushed Mehlman. Dean has no reason to debate.

Democrats didn't use Wellstone's memorial, that was entirely a distortion of FOX News and conservative talk radio. In regards to MJF, the doctor who prescribed the medication for him said that the way he was acting was the expected result of the medication.
TheMyrkat 5 years ago
I suppose the way you are thinking was the expected result of the medication you were prescribed...or could be those illegal drugs.

What an absurd accusation. I'm more than happy to debate you point to point on this, what's with the pointless insults?

Also, I saw Wellstone's memorial and much of the news coverage that followed it.

TheMyrkat 5 years ago
United States Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa is a democrat...he was there...as a speaker...sounding like a cheerleader on the campaign trail. And yes...he had an idea what he was going to say!!!
rtflores 5 years ago
What did Harkin say that you found objectionable? He was sounding like a cheerleader, but what he was saying was "keep fighting for the things Paul Wellstone believed in." Many of which were being fought for by Democrats and Republicans alike. The people in that arena were there because they loved the things Paul Wellstone stood for and fought for. There's no partisanship there. It's called humanity.

But there are no devils and no angels.
nicholas9999 5 years ago
Ah yes, of course it is just "in your opinion" because it isn't based in fact. Carter was a victim of stupidity and pacificity. Isn't it amazing that, while Bush is a fool, his economic policies (or his cabinet's) have turned the economy around and pushed the dow to record heights? And isn't it just as amazing that everything crashed and burned under Carter, yet prospered under Reagan?
irpwny 5 years ago
The attacks on civil liberties can't be compared? Crack a history book once in a while. Look up FDR's court packing, his destruction of the 1st, 4th, yadda yadda, Amendments (Japanese internment ring a bell?), Kennedy's vote fraud (remember how dead people voted for him in Chicago?), and Clinton's assault on the 2nd Amendment, his destruction of Waco (they've since proven that nothing illegal was going on), the murders at Ruby Ridge, etc. etc.
continued..
irpwny 5 years ago
continued..
Check up search and seizure rules and how they suffered under him. And how about the 8th Amendment in the Fuster case by Reno?
irpwny 5 years ago
lol, you're going back to FDR?? Kennedy's vote fraud you're comparing to the current undercutting of very basic protections? You are pointing out individual instances, rather than a huge sea change in basic civil rights. Your black and white rhetoric, e.g., "crashed and burned," just completely invalidated anything you have to say. You can argue with yourself.
nicholas9999 5 years ago
Ah yes, typical fallacious reasoning by the 12 year old: Those "individual" instances (precedent court rulings and federal law) were not minor, fair child :)
"Just completely invalidated what you said." Oh really? How so? It's amazing that you never say anything substantive, or provide evidence in refutations. But then again I guess you can't :)
continued below..
irpwny 5 years ago
continued from above:
Go look up Clinton's destruction of the Bill of Rights. It's a shame you're so blind. Perhaps you should take a look at Euripedes while you're at it.
Not to mention, look at the specific examples I cited: Fuster, Waco, Brady Campaign, etc.
You have yet to say anything other than what is tantamount to churlish "you're gay and wrong."
