I knew Wynn in Las Vegas in the early 1960s. I did not know him well but he and I were deejays at the same station, KVEG, for awhile. I have been to his house or apartment. He was a pleasant man who did have a few problems. I last saw him at The Palomino Club in Nrth Hollywood a few months before he died. He was not well physically but he performed beautifully and his voice was excellent to the very end.
yes this is the TRUE WEST COAST SOUND of WYNN. I was there and remember what a great time we had in LONG BEACH. Miss the good times..listen to all of the W.S. U can find . & Keep country real...
I have always loved and admired Wynn Stewart. His first song 'It's Such A Pretty World Today" went round and round in my head for days after I heard it for the first time.He has a great voice and this song is one of the best. Keeping today's music true country is hard to do it seems as the money lure seems to be the main focus of many entertainers. Wish we could get more radio exposure for the real talents. Thank you Flashbell for posting this and also giving us Wynn's biography. - Paula
Wynn Stewart rates right up there with Elvis,Marty Robbins,Ray Price,Alan Jackson.
Was very good at songwriting also.
Wynn could sit across the table from you and take up the guitar and sound as good in person as he did on a recording singing on a 3,000 dollar mic. He was one of the greats
and should have been on the Grand Ole Opry.
I wish the music industry could shed their jellousy and just get on with enjoying the talent that the good Lord has made for us to hear.
I simply love listening to his voice and songs ...
