@hotbop9 In beta 1.9 prerelease 5, a tool with the silk touch enchantment could be used to collect ice and bring it to the nether, although it no longer works in 1.0/1.1.

But judging from the fact that this was recorded during prerelease 2 and that Mind_Trap has a water block in his inventory, he most likely spawned the water with a mod.

@mindcr4ft They spawn 4 blocks horizontal and 3 blocks vertical above the spawner, so leave more space above the spawner and you'll never run out of blaze's...

I actually díd try replacing the fences with normal blocks and no matter what i try, i still constantly get hit in the face by them. the only 'hit' box seems to be on their heads from where they will attack you. I guess it just doesn't work on multiplayer

I built it on my server but I can't seem to hit the blazes with a sword unless I actually step out where they can hit me back. I don't know why that is. Any ideas?

@jsw58240 I've been shooting them with a bow, unfortunately it wastes arrows. I don't know what's going on with mob hit boxes in SMP.

@Trinalsis I am not sure why this is happening. The only possible explanation is that the hit boxes are different in SMP but it doesn't make any sense. You are trying this on pre release 2 right? Because in PR1 the fences are different and it doesn't work

@mindcr4ft Pre-release five, actually. I'm assuming it's the faulty hitboxes. The trap works fine in any case, if you either use arrows or use at least a stone sword, allowing you to kill them with little to no damage.

I tried to set up a farm like this in 1.9 PR3 and ... blazes seem to spawn up to 4 blocks away from the spawner, bypassing walls... well I just have to adapt the design and fill all the air blocks outside of the walls with more solid blocks, but just so you know :)

@Zebix If you notice at 0:40 I have placed 5 glass blocks at each side of the spawner, the only empty spaces in this 11x11 area are those at each side of the door and the one I am walking in. The rest are all filled with glass. I just tried this farm in pre release 4 and works like a charm

Thanks for the design, love it. Any thoughts on a Ghast Trap? Ghasts now drop the tears which are used in Healing Potions. It's extremely not cost effective at all to run around shooting them madly and wasting health trying; there must be a way to trap ghasts.
