@DarZile There is a frog like creature in the marsh you find Quina in. You got to get he/she to eat it before killing it. Which is hard due to how weak they are.
@OneWingedMenace You can get Quina as soon as you leave Grand Castle :p.. Walk to the odd marsh and get a frog for her/he. Starting early with Quina pays off BIG time when it is just you and he/she versus the Earth guardian. The Quina I had blocked all elemental damage while healing hp/mp with the Blue magic.
Um, sorry for being a pest, but didn't you silence it? You could've used the Mythril Dagger bought in Dali, learn Soul Blade, then use it to silence Gizamaluke.
I didn't know you could silence it at the time, this was my first playthrough of the game and I wasn't using guides either, thanks for the info though.
How did you get Quina to learn Frog Drop early in this game?

Nah you can go get him as soon as you arrive on the world map I think... he's optional anyway.
