Ram Gopal varma garu [mani ratnam's protege] was in top form with Shiva [Udhayam in tamil] When i saw this film many years i got shit scared watching gunda culture prevalent. nowadays dime a dozen movies about gundas and rowdies are made but in 1990 this was the shit man! real hardcore gunda film which truly scared u. no buffoonery by hero or cheap crass comedy!

ilayaraja is backbone of this film. this film changes the telugu industy as BEFORE SHIVA and AFTER SHIVA. what a great takingand what a great back ground music. i really salute ilayaraja for his compositions......
