  • wow, punchy lil bastard isnt he, loud too

  • For being ammohead, ur shooting isnt very smart...U have no idea how far those rounds are going or whats behind there in the woods. Not good man.

  • @mikeallensonntag I have Answerd this guestion a 1000 times...Not going to do it again...Im tired of it :)

  • It's not a "slide release." It's a slide stop which is mandatory for the take down of any pistol. Using it as a release will eventually wear the two components to the point that the slide will not lock back on the last shot. To my knowledge there is only ONE gun that the slide lock is also used as a release..that is the Ruger 22/45. Right or wrong??

  • this is my daily vest gun. i love it. not too accurate, but i guess its not meant to be used more than 10 yards.

  • That is the BEST 9mm ammunition ! RWS is great stuff !

  • great back up hider pistol.

  • I carry this same gun. I really like it. Cool vid man!

  • Funny looks like where your shooting is the road. Neighbors must love you.

  • You almost have me sold, now to see if the wife likes it??

  • My 2 PF9's would not shoot more than 3 mags with out a problem . Even in a vise no limp wristing . Do not buy one

  • @BRIGGS6951 Google Keltec PF-9 fluff and buff. The reason they're so cheap is because that work was not done at the factory post manufacture. THEN proceed to shoot several hundred rounds out of it to break it in, if you still have problems, your vice is limp ;)

  • What about saftey no back stop very daft!!

  • Once you said the ammo was made in Swissland I immediately thought, 'well duh, no wonder it's good.' lol Nice video, I too was a little worried about the lack of a back drop but then I saw the 'Neighbors? What are those?' comment you left so I figure its good. Thanks for the great review, and I love the fact that you actually put all the rounds through it so we could see there were no malfunctions.

  • Kel-Tec is made Cocoa Fl. right? What is a fare price for me to pay for this very model?I don't feel like getting the shaft.

  • @EBBadd1 $250 to $300

  • I guess you know where your rounds are hitting?

  • how many mags does this bby come with?

  • @reynosamanA3 one, I picked up a second 6-rounder on my way out. Have my eyes open for an elusive 9-rounder the company just came out with

  • @R5H4D0W Company webpage sells the add on extension for the mag.

  • @reynosamanA3 2 in the box

  • That RWS is hotter than american ammo, and the have a steel jacket, they are a plusp load, though they don't say it I was getting 1250 fps out of when I shot it through my Beretta M9.

  • how far are you shooting? and how in the world are you letting that slide slam home? Mines as tight as a tire lug that went through a whole year of winter salt!

  • @R5H4D0W In this video I was only about 6 yards out.LOL my slide release is very easy to use, dont know why yours is so tight...Maybe I got lucky?? LOL wish I could help more :)

  • @R5H4D0W Mine is very tight too. I believe its going to be a "break in" issue. Kel Tec's are notorious for issues during the first 100 rounds or so. What makes it really difficult to release is being left handed! o_O

  • @JuniorInEville24 I've shot 100 rounds through mine with zero problems outside human error. Other than ones from limp-wristing, no ftf/fte to report. Only ammo used was AE 115gr FMJ

  • @R5H4D0W Mine too!!! I even tried putting a generous amount of oil on it, and it's STILL super sticky. bummer huh

  • @R5H4D0W You can take down the pistol and with some 800 grit wet dry sand paper used for sanding a cars clear coat proceed to remove a little of the metal where the slide release catches on the SLIDE. Just remove a tiny bit rounding it out so little you can't even notice it with your eye. Proceed to do this until your slide release functions more smoothly. Google fluff and buff keltec pf-9

  • @R5H4D0W He must have modified the slide release, The PF-9 that lever is not slide release technically. Its only a hold straight from factory.

  • Loved your succcess with shooting the PF-9 , maybe a backstop would make your neighbors a little safer , ....keep up the practicing it is fun....DennyRec probably had a limp wrist or or just got a lemon....I buy from Davidsons to get the 2 lifetime warranties.

    for repair or total replacement.

  • @Meyendor1 Neighbors??? What are those LOL

  • Is that a dirt road in the back ground behind your target?

  • @ArizonaDigital I was wondering the exact same thing. At first I was like, holy hell this guy isn't going to shoot off his deck is he? .... But it looks like he is. With what appears to be a road or trail behind.

  • Just ordered mine today, all desert tan, hope it's a good one!

  • my wife has this gun its ok she likes her taurus millenium pro 9 better

  • Hey if you can't Duck it , Fuck it.

  • Good review. The PF-9 is on my list of additions. Your video was helpful to me. Thanks!

  • And with a 1" group out of a sig p250 its pretty accurate too. And along with your findings it is extreamly clean.

  • My one half ass video is with RWS 124g 9mm. Good stuff.

  • Great review! I'm getting one for Christmas...black/parkerized!

  • Great video. I know 100% people who have FTE are limp wristing. These guns are great for size and weight. Practice your grip and feed it ammo. It will be the most reliable pocket pistol you have ever owned.

  • I hope you own the land beyond your target with a multitude of "stay out" signs around it!

  • thanks man. Your down to earth and my kinda dude. Thanks again, Bryant from North Carolina

  • This gun kicks harder than my 40 cal...I tryed the winchester 9mm luger withe box FMJ and this gun it jamb twice within 7-8 rounds. I added some oil and cleaned it really. Before I give up on it I will try diffrent ammo first. I will try that RWS since it works well for your pf9.

  • The issue with this(some of them of course) gun is a factory rough finish. I recommend that you use some fine sandpaper and clean up the edges of the slide and lube it up before you shoot it. This is one of those guns that need a healthy amount of rounds for break in. Once its passed that, its a great reliable little gun.

  • I loved your review and the field strip of the gun. I just got one 30 min ago and I wanted to see if this was worth the buy. Great job on the video!

  • @TOPHYDRO Thank you :)

  • @TOPHYDRO kel-tecs are ALWAYS worth the buy.

  • @threelittleniglets ehh... except P11s, really poor trigger. Other than that its a true statement

  • Alot of people limp wrist the pf-9 which jams it every time

  • Morrisc0de- I replied to you too. I'm not sure if it went through or not. Would you please let know if you received it. Thanks. Denny

  • People bitching about jamming. Autos are picky on plinking ammo, try it with an ammo you are going to carry. As for the +p p+ or ppppp++++ whatever stop reading stupid magazines that push products. Ballistic studies shows those hot ammos barely do anything if not have inferior performance. Useless

  • @Warpath2198 Bad shooters, cheap ammo & no break in. I've had mine for a year with no issues.

  • I use my 9mm for a backup weapon and I have to have something I trust. I know a lot of guys that have them as a backup piece and they are happy with them. The one I purchase was a defect out of the box. It happens. My duty weapon is a S&W 40mm and it's never failed. Good shooting

  • I put 45 rounds through my Kec Tec PF 9 and that was it. Using the Ammo you were using out of the green and white box. It would not eject, load, or shoot. I will say there customer service was excellent. The gun shop I purchased the weapon from sucked. With the help of a lawyer I got a better weapon. I don't trust Kec Tec.

  • @DennyRec Sorry to here that man, mine is still going great...Around 300 rds with no problems at all.

  • @ammohead73 I've had good results with American Eagle 115gr and 124gr FMJs, in my brand new pf9. In 50 rounds no ftf, no fte, had a case smack me in the nose, but it puts a hole where you aim it.

  • @DennyRec I just bought a PF9 yesterday. I had a FTE on all 100 rounds of Winchester Whitebox. I don't have confidence in it, so it won't be my carry piece.

  • @DennyRec Ive literally shot thousands of guns including Kel Tecs and have never had any sort of issue with them except maybe a ftf or stovepiped one or two while breaking it in but thats the norm with any new pistol really. Sucks you had to go through all that. I would and on occasion do trust a Kel Tec with my life.

  • LUCKY UR NOT HAVING PROBLEMS WIT UR NOT EXRACTING MY IS ANY TIPS

  • rws 124 is actually a +P as far as the specs go, I wouldnt shoot too much of that on my PF9, even though PF9 is +P rated I am bit weary.

  • @shawnsent Its rated +P, but not meant for clip after clip after clip :)

Remember, its a SD gun, not a range gun =P

  • Did you modify the Slide Stop on your PF9 to turn it into a Slide Release?

  • what kind of holster do you recommend for a keltec

  • @mclevaingunnut I dont have anything expensive for it,just a little nylon IWB with a metal clip on it.Works pretty good for me.There are alot better choices Im sure tho :)

  • Yeah, you have to learn how to hold the thumbs out...or you will hit the mag release. Takes practice.

  • I have one...for CCW...good pistol.

  • Great review and vid quality, always wondered about that little gun.

Nice idea for a target stand, need to make one. My sons and I shoot a 10"x24" log suppended 24" in the air at 100'. We see who can make it spin, loads of fun, builds

eye and hand control. They always win!

  • thanks for the vid. i just ordered one yesterday!

  • Nice video. I just bought one for my EDC. I've been carrying a Glock 27, but it's just to heavy. My first shot I did hit the mag release and have it come out. Have you had that happen? I am gonna have to do a lot more shooting with it first, but so far I think it's a sweet little gun.

  • @dan4466 Ive heard others say that too,but Ive never had it happen to me "yet" lol.

  • good vid man i currently carry a S&W airweight 38 call the hammer less one i keep it in my front pocket 24.7 but it is 5 shots well im wanting more than 5 so i have been lookin for a auto 9 this is one that im thinkin about and the 225 cost is awsome your video was very helpfull

  • @keithwelch918 Thank you,happy I could help :)

  • I have the same gun, I love it! You can see me shoot it in my videos!

  • @ammohead73 - what was the brand of that "clean" ammo? I'm intrested in shooting ammo that doesn't gunk up my guns. also looking into getting a pf9 this week.

  • @afroindymonk Its RWS,its made in Switzerland.Very good ammo,IMO.

  • Hi. Have you ever checked your brass and noticed off-centered primer strikes?? Thx

  • @tk4227 Hummm no I havent, but since you brought it up I will next time I shoot it.

  • Im having fte and then double feeds. I get thru about 20 shots before it happens.. Also the slide release, when I rack it back locks in like it should but then I cant press the release button, seems really really tight any advice?

  • @Buzfreely First thing I would do is try a different magazine. In alot of cases thats the problem.Ive also heard from other pf9 owners that they had to give thiers time to break in.But when I have problems with any semi-auto pistol, the first thing I do is try different mags.

  • @ammohead73 thanks for quick reply, i have two new megs just bought, still the same thing..anything else u may sugjest. It sucks because I love the gun.. any help..

  • @Buzfreely If its messing up with 3 different mags, send it back to Kel-tek!!!! Something is wrong, look in your owners manual and call them..they are a great company and will make it right for you.Sorry to here that bro,but I bet they will be more than happy to make things right for you.

  • @ammohead73 looks like i have no other choice, i heard kaltecs customer service is good but slow over 8-10 wks to get weapon back..I didnt want to have to go thru all that if it was something small I could do myself. but as a ccw i need to be able to rely on this weapon to one day maybe save my life..like ur videos..thanks

  • I wish I could shoot from my porch. Sweet!

  • must be nice to be able to shoot off your deck!

  • Great vid man! With the way I shoot if that were my deck I would've put some bullett holes in it by now. You know, Kel Tec's factory is in Cocoa Beach Fl not far from where I live. I'm going to check and see if they have a local factory store or something.

  • I put 150 rounds through it at the range where I bought it and did not have one problem with it, thats good.

  • @pandmonium2k7 Awesome man,I really like mine.

  • Just got my permit in the mail today and heading to the gun store to get me one of these!

  • @pandmonium2k7 Congrats bro!!! I think you will really like it :)

  • @ammohead73 Kel Tec sells a handy belt clip that replaces the rear pin for like $15. Really nice for inner waistband carry, and no added bulk!

  • yup that is great ammo. i had 100 rnds but shot it with no problem. but cant find it at the walmart anymore

  • Nice test, looks like your PF9 is a winner. If you had curly hair I might think I had a long lost brother. ;-)

  • ★★★★★

Nice shooting! That's a great Pistol you've got there.

  • some of those rounds appear to be tumbling...I wonder if it's the ammo or maybe a powerful updraft between you and that target 10 feet away ;)

  • i just watched an add did you make partner bro ??

  • Great value pistol. I need to take a closer look at these,

  • @OilTheGun Pretty damn good gun for the money.

  • Nice shootin man. Enjoyed the video

  • now that's what ya call "poppin off a few"...glad ya like it...thumbs up!!

  • that ammo rocks

  • nice job, seems ready to go...

  • Put the target inside and stand outside, problem solved, lol. That's ome good shootin'.:):)

  • Go ahead and get those mags she is a keeper, great video

  • Very impressed with the handgun and ammo.Great video.I've got to buy some of that RWS ammo. Thanks

  • Impressive little 9MM.

  • Oh man now your killing me lol Wheres my permit!!! I found a place selling it for a little under three so whenever I get the permit im all over it.

    Great video brother.

  • @pandmonium2k7 Thanks bro! Hope you get your permit soon,Im loveing this little pistiol :)

  • Great video man, great gun you got there. That RWS is good stuff, have ran a few boxes of 230g through my 45's and it does well. Pretty hot round too, think 230 ball ammo is around the 450 fpe mark out of the muzzle.

  • @pjicleanair420 The same gunstore I bought the 1000 rounds of RWS 9mm has a 1000 rounds of the RWS in 45acp for $325..... :( wish I had the money, cause I love the stuff.

  • @ammohead73 yea ammo is high as hell all over.

  • Time for some more mags , Lookin' Good . Remember alot of 1911 holsters work great .

  • @krazy45cat Yes,I will get a few more mags for it and thanks for the 1911 holster tip! Thanks for watching my friend!

  • Thanks for your vid. I have a large collection of guns and won't say the pf9 is my favorite gun, but it is among my favorite guns. In the 1 1/2 years I've owned mine, it is one a carry often. I now go between it and the diamondback db380. Like you, I have not had any problems with the little feller. I have a lot of confidence in it as well. BTW, not bad shooting through the view finder.

  • @noel6185 I have alot of carry options and this will be my rotation,I do like it alot.LOL the view finder shots were a bit difficult for me lol but fun!...Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks for the vid. I just ordered one but they are on backorder so wont have it for a while. How does your wrist feel today? : )

  • @KainanRa My wrist if fine, been shooting guns a long time lol. However,my knuckle on my thumb is a little sore lol,but in a good way...thanks for watching :)
