"Zamo" was in Athens to help out the Russian team as a vault and floor specialist (though she didn't make floor finals). She didn't medal on vault but made a respectable showing. Supposedly she over-trained in the practices and may have been worn out physically. Hope this jogs your memory....

When I see the long career of Nastia Liukin, I feel angry with Shawn Johnson, how does one stop the only sport that gave him all the fame, fame she is enjoying while losing time playing with fame in Hollywood! errr! Shame! Longevity is what is missing today in women's gymnastics, this is so annoying!

um... if you're performing easy tricks of COURSE you're routines are going to be flawless. Are you slow? Harder, innovative, and more difficult routines are rewarded over simple, slyly-executed routines.

well, you have to agree... if china hadn't flopped at the crucial moments, imagine how many olympic and world medals they could have won... when they can get their act together, usa and their robotic gymnastics are really no match for them...

their choreography on floor and beam is weak compared to the chinese... plus they don't have the pretty lines of the chinese and most of the maerican gymnasts are just not fluid..

nastia liukin the AA olympic champion is probably the most artistic gymnast out there.

this is a no-win argument either way. so i'm going to stop.

I mean, if you count crossed legged-twists, bent legs on giants, leg separations on pirouettes, horrible kips to handstand, cookie cutter beam routines, and pose pose step pose pose tumble floor routines artistic.

Yea, and she deserved them. But I'll never actually watch those routines because, to be honest, they put me to sleep with their complete lack of creativity. Actually, NVM, I enjoy her front tuck to arabesque.

I dont think it got taken out, it just didn't get named after her. I'm not 100% certain, but I think in the COP it's any front aerial/salto through to arabesque = D.
