To compare Hornets to Tomcats is stupid. They have different roles. An F14 is an air superiority fighter where the F18 is an Attack fighter. Designed to be able to be air to air, close air support for ground troops, and air to ground attack. They tried to shoe horn the 14 into air to ground towards the end but it never worked out.
this probably wasted ALOT of fuel. like 30% of fuel. this is the worst aircraft ever. it probably took an hour for this piece of crap to get super-sonic.
the f-14 tomcat is better. faster, fly longer, bigger radar. every thing! it takes 1 minute for the f-14 to be super sonic. not like this piece of crap hornet

why don't you quiet down already and admit the tomcat is a piece of shit. Besides we don't need that pathetic fighter anymore, and if you want to fly one, move to Iran then.
Personally I liked the FA/18-C better. With the AMRAAM missiles there's no real need for dog fighting anymore anyhow.
