For a fast growing city like Columbus, we lack dependable and comprehensive public transportation. We need a subway system once and for good! We have enough tax payers to afford it! Even smaller cities in poor countries (Santo Domingo) already have a subway while we're still debating about a "light rail" (tram) that won't really solve much during rush hour or public road works. Let's bring up the issue to Mayor Coleman rather than waiting for another fuel speculation crisis!
I'd like to see a multi-modal transit solution that integrates regional passenger rail, inner-city streetcars, busses, better biking solutions and more walkable neighborhoods. Cars have a place in the mix too, but Columbus needs fewer parking lots and more well-planned parking garages.

I'd like a multi-modal transit soultion. Currently, COTA (Central Ohio Transit Authority) only provides a single-service (bus) solution.

Are you for the light rail? What are wanting them to do?
