Kids in the US love soccer and the youth program is VERY strong. look up US Soccer developement academy and us youth soccer association, these are 2 examples of great youth leagues in the us altho the ussda is more focused on college scouting and the teams in it all play the youth national team. Just because the MLS is not strong does not reflect on the new generation, Many kids from the us now travel with their team to play with youth teams like chelsea, valencia, real madrid, etc.
