  • I hope you do well finishing your PhD(:

  • @yoooanniie Thanks!!!

  • Can you make new videos please? D: it's been two years o:

  • @yoooanniie Haha. I do plan to. I'm just trying to finish up my PhD. I should be done in a few months! I really do want to make more vids and I will. I also plan to add sewing tutorials to my channel. Thanks for the comment and support!

  • why is she falling asleep?!

  • Bookmarking this for my own self-trims. :) Thanks! Great tut.

  • @Allie6879 haha. Happy to supply some courage. Just make sure you go slow, it'll make it easier to catch mistakes before they become noticeable.

  • ur boring !!!!!

  • i dont have the confident :(..im not perfect at everything

  • @littlehotwomen Well, I'm not telling you to try if you aren't comfortable, but I will say that layers are pretty forgiving. It's hard to tell even if you do mess up. I messed up one time and made the angle deeper on one side of my head than the other. Everyone complimented my cut, but when I said it was uneven, only my mom said she could tell. The best thing to do is go little by little. You need patience more than perfection.

  • @ck4801

    lol thx...

    id rather do it myself..

    even though im not peerfect..

than i ask someone to do that to me...

i wanna do it on my own so tht i can make it right

and i can blame myself not anyone else :]

  • @littlehotwomen

    That's a hot comment

  • I finally got up the courage to trim my own hair today thanks to your video! It turned out perfect!!!

  • @KaraLovesScotty That's great! Glad I could help.

  • is the issue... I have fixed plenty of haircuts that clients have paid over $70 for! Most of the reason stylists work at chain salons is because the of the atmosphere. its more comfortable for sum ppl n alot of clients esp. w this economy the way it is! Also at chain salons u always have that walk in flow so w most stylists who get paid only by commission, u always have $ coming in! so plz... dont think just becuz its a chain salon u will get bad service cuz its totally untrue!

  • @xoelvisxo12 Thanks for the comment. I will have to agree that you don't always get what you pay for. I will say that I am currently going to a stylist who does not work in a chain salon, but I would follow her to any salon because I've never had anyone do with my hair what she can. I hope I won't have to search for another stylist ever again...

  • hi! just wanted to say u did a very good job at cutting ur own hair! just have 1 comment n its not to the video maker but to a comment i read... i am a licensed cosmetologist. i also work at a chain salon! im not trying to b rude whatsoever but its pretty offensive when ppl say a chain is not a professional salon. Every1 that goes thru cosmetology school n pass state board have the exact same training! what they do w that training/ and have a passion for their career (comment cont. ^)

  • Oops! I didn't finish my sentence!! lol

Your hair is so (beautiful!) :D

How much would you spend on a professional haircut? :\

  • @popalechee haha, I saw that, and was wondering...Thanks.

  • @popalechee When I get my hair cut professionally it's around $80 with tip (It's extra for hair past shoulder length). I know it's pricey, but I've never had anyone cut my hair the way my current stylist does. I never feel guilty forking up the money. It always feels worth it. I've felt remorse in the past with other stylists, but never with Anna!

  • @ck4801 Thats a good deal! I was expecting you to say something like $120-$200 (reason why you went to trimming sides in between visits) or something lol. But thats around what most ppl pay :). Which is still pretty pricey lol :D

  • @popalechee haha, well, growing up I never went to the salon. My mom always did my haircuts. I also know a lot of ppl who go to chain salons and pay less than $30. If I wasn't looking for such a particular style and cut, I wouldn't mind going there, but I still believe you get what you pay for, so I go to a "professional" salon. Because of the fine texture of my hair, but the high density, it requires a particular style in order for me not to have what I call the "christmas tree effect"!

  • @ck4801 Yea that's true, you do get what you pay for... most of the time lol.

Im also one of those ppl who pay around $20, for now that is. lol

The only time I can see paying around $70 is when getting color/highlights or something like that.

And lol on the "Christmas Tree Effect" :D

  • Your hair's so

  • your so monotone.

  • @WWWBandNerdWWW Yes, I've been working on that. I think I've improved wince my first few videos. Thanks for the input though!

  • please, could you be a litlle more enthousiastic? :D what your telling is pretty intereesting, but jeezz, you look like your doped or something no offence

  • Great video!

  • once or twice a year?woow lol

    i go like 7 times a year

mmyy hairstyle grows out in like a month and a half.

i get frustrated with it growing so fast.. :I

  • Yeah, really slow growing hair...

  • you're so boooring...i've quite fallen asleep!

  • @maylee1984 Nobody asked you to watch >>

  • Just so you all known these are angles not layers. The way she is has her scissors angled is dangerous. If you stop moving downward you may cut straight across and ruin your whole cut. your scissors will slide better on %100 wet hair and have the point of your scissors facing the floor (that way you reduce your chances of cutting across on accident) Good Luck. I am a professional hairdresser so If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

  • i love this video! thanks for posting it!

  • nice job. i wouldn't even go to a hair salon if i were you

  • Thanks. But I haven't mastered the art of cutting the back on my own, so in that case I still need to go to a real stylist.

  • OMGosh! You are sooo beautiful! and i love your voice! lol

    BTW nice name lol :)

  • You've got a pretty awesome name yourself! haha Glad to be of assistance.

  • Great video! I live in a remote area with no stylist....so this is perfect for me. Contrary to other comments, I like that you are calm and straightforward. You don't sound depressed at all...I would say you sound confident and have spoken clearly and concisely to help us all out! Thanks so much!

  • Yea, you sound a little bit depressed and sleepy..

  • i've never thought of that!! thanks^^

  • You're Welcome

  • it must have been hard to make this video. looking in the mirror and the camera. you're very pretty!

  • Thank you. Actually, I focused the camera into the mirror, so looking in the camera and looking in the mirror were the same thing!

  • aren't those angles??

  • Aren't what angles?

  • You did good!

  • hi, a shoulder length cut, with gorgeous layers, maybe

  • haha, I can never go that short. I did it once...never again. As it is I miss my super long hair, but I realize it looks better shorter. I don't think I'll ever be brave enough to go short again. Besides, oddly enough, long hair is easier to manage than shorter hair...

  • your very pretty good job

  • hi again, 9.08 looks lovely, how long is your hair at back?

  • About 10 inches past my shoulders or so. It's pretty long. I need to get a professional trim pretty soon. My hair is starting to weigh down and look flat.

  • gorgeous hair, lovely layers, do you layer the back and sides?

  • Occasionally, if I'm feeling brave. I do prefer to leave something that complicated to the professionals though.

  • i like your layers. they look really nice :)

  • Thanks!
