This video is _so_ corny (the slo-mo running, especially.) The song is nice and sweet though. I respect Costner for wanting someone as talented as Whitney in his movie -- even if there were obstacles between himself and others in making the call to hire her -- and if what Costner said at Houston's funeral were true. It seemed like there was a genuine friendship that developed as a result of working together.
Whether or nor Kevin Costner and Whitney ever considered dating, they made a movie together that he apparently wanted her in. They were acting together for the duration of this movie and it most likely led to a close friendship. His words at her funeral were caring and funny. A very moving eulogy. RIP Whitney.
Beautiful..I 'm just sorry she did'nt run permanently to Kevin Costner. That very fine man was interested in her. I know she state that she was not interested in him romantically at that time. At some point everyone has to take responsibility for themselves-and that includes Whitney too. From all report she was using drugs before she met Bobby Brown, and after she divorced him too (Keep in mind they split in 2007 and she died in 2012-5 years later). At some point everyone has to take responsibility for themselves-and that includes Whitney too. From all report she was using drugs before she met Bobby Brown, and after she divorced him too (Keep in mind they split in 2007 and she died in 2012-5 years later). I wish this wasn't true, but sadly is it. RIP Whitney.

She has weathered many storms. We are definitely seeing a huge influx of stars/people losing their lives to addiction. This had been a pattern repeating itself throughout music/film history. Stars/non stars - it is sad to see lives cut too short.

For me this is the most touching moment in The Bodyguard, where Frank is looking at a video of Rachel singing this song and beginning to fall in love with her unaware that she is watching him.
I think the melody and lyrics of Run to You epitomise true love that very few other songs seem to do.
Of all Whitney's suberp recordings this is my favourite song.
I really hope there is a hereafter and that Whitney receives compensation and love for the disapointments she encountered here on Earth.
