I'm Hungarian. Only time I'm proud of it, we're mentioned on Whose Line...I don't think this is necessary, but I write the title down in Hungarian, just to be authentic. :D
Masked Onion = Álarcos Hagyma btw this title is ridiculous xD
I'm currently taping whose line uk on comedy central. I've taped series 4, 5 and 6, and tonite is series 7.
In Series 4 and 5, tony looks healthy, skinny, and very happy. Series 6, he has put on lots of weight, looks drunk, and his hoedowns turn into stuff about sex and innuendo's, not to say they arent funny, as they are damn hillarious. But you can see that tony wasn't his happy jolly little self.
@metal858585 Yes, I've seen him laugh much, much harder. That laugh looks a little fake, or startled out. I've seen him burst out laughing at Drew, but he was also better at holding his laughter for acting when Drew came around.
I can never understand what Clive is saying - he talks kind of fast and mumbles and with that accent I don't stand a chance, which is too bad because I've heard he's very funny.

Why does this person keep asking for Jim Carrey? Having seen Jim Carrey live, be glad he never appeared, he has absolutely no talent, there's a reason his movies often just degenerate into that stupid voice, stupid facial expressions and flailing of limbs. He's completely talentless. But then again, the US version did force the equally talentless Wayne Brady down our throats.
i believe the games being strict in the UK verson aint such a bad thing, it means that the performers save there energy for the games, i mean sometimes when u look at ryan he looks so frustrated like he just wants to get to the next game
while in the US version they spend more time messing about before the games start
The thing about the UK version is that it's more formal, it seems a little more strict, but the actors all try harder and are more creative - something seriously lacking in the US one unfortunately. I love them both but the US ones kind of become the same and i notice Ryan and Colin aren't as full of energy in them after a few seasons. In the UK ones it's like you see everybody grow and develop. (+ they mention more perverse things, which i have no problem with) :p
Wow the UK audience is TRASH. You can tell how Ryan fake-laughs, he just hates being here since the humor is absolutely dreadful. 'Whose Line' on the US all the way. Plus the host thinks he's hilarious when his comments are so bad... *rolls eyes*

On the off chance that there is a laugh, the audience barely even giggles thus making me feel uncomfortable laughing at home. You don't wanna be the only one laughing when everyone else seems like they are asleep. Its just far too awkward, it feels like they are performing in front of a crowd of 10
Remember we arnt as enthusiastic as you guys. You shout and laugh really loudly in the pictures (not that that is bad) , we just keep to ourselves and laugh but not as loud, let everyone watch it quietly. So thats why.

not sure about the audience, but surely the US version has much more to it, cant help to feel that the UK stuff is sort of lame in comparison - and i am not from the US...

I'm from the US either, heh. Quite simply, the whole uk version is extremely uncomfortable to watch. The audience hardly laughs, the stage is so poor and spooky, the uk comedians aren't all too funny (no offence) and the comedians can't even poke fun at the host like they can at Drew Carey (since the host is awefully strict looking). Whose Line is great but I think its only meant to be for US only =p
Respectfully I disagree. In fact I think UK one's audience is much better and they laugh plenty. My biggest annoyance with the US one was the loudness of the audience, they seem to get so riled up they're screaming and I find it very irritating. I think you're just too used to American-style television. I feel perfectly comfortable laughing at this, I don't just laugh because everyone else is.
the us version is much less mature comedy which is fine but it sort of deminishes the comedys abilitys
for example u wouldnt see somone like stephen fry on the us version
and the comment that this show is only meant for the us is absured dont forget that this show was made in britan so is probly made for a british audience
No it was started in Britain, where it employed more intelligent humor. It was made for British audiences first. You've obviously not watched much, especially with Greg Prooprs there is lots of banter between Clive and the others. UK one > US one (no offence. . . )
thank you sir this is a fantastic show. have a massive woo to mega upload of quality stuff. i have been going through these for some time now, must take you ages to split etc. gd stuff!
