this is the best drug ever man!! 4 weeks and i feel free already... the changes in my lifestyle are amazing! the withdrawal symptoms are almost all gone and i feel like im 17 again every day... the only downside is the crazy twisted dreams i keep having almost every night.:) they r not nightmares they just f.... weird man...oh yeah and i did have 2 smokes but couldnt finish'em... they taste awful and i dont have that satisfying feeling of the first smoke either. the magic is all gone!:)
They didnt work for me. Everytime I took them I couldnt get off the chair and it put me in a state of depression and boredom so I had to stop taking them :(
Although it worked for a whole day which is the longest i've acheived without a smoke for 10 years
Im on day 7 and I felt sick whilst smoking today. In fact, I was sitting at a cafe and someone behind me was smoking and the smoke mad me want to puke, The ciggis are starting to have a funny taste which I dislike.
Reageren op deze video... Too bad I was honest to my doctor, I said I haven't tried patches or gum before, so now my insurance will not pay for this medicine, I have to pay for it myself.
I live in Holland and the 12 week program will cost me between 300 and 350 euros !!!!!
moi j'entame la deuxième semaine avec champix je doit arrêter mercredi la derniere cigarette déja 1 mg aujourdhuit le coeur bat plus vite qu'avant bon courage a toi
Good on u mate I will start from tomorrow. But what can you do if u r traveling !! For example from Dubai to aussies around 15 hours what should I do ??
@raalou Anyone that can stop and never start or have one again is a hero, I wish I was. You can stop within the 14 days of starting the champix. Remember not to start again, dont even have one for any reason ok.
Champix is fantastic. It helps whilst you break the habit. I feel fitter & I've got money at the end of the month which must piss the fag industry off!
@fourpointohh I did feel as if i was stoned every morning for the first few days... was really nervous about taking this drug the first few days as the side effects were many... but after a week its a breeze... no more smokes.. no urges!
i took champix for 24 days ,i smoked for the first 10 days then continued to take them for 2 weeks after that then i kicked the pills aswell ,so less then 1 month on champix all up & i have smoked for 17 years until now
I have been taking Champix for 6 days now and wonder when its going to start kicking in because i still smoke the same. It has not given me the desire not to smoke yet.and i am just wondering how long before it does???
@BabyBlueLace i think u keep smoking as many as u like for the first 2 weeks then the dosage increases and u should notice u get no pleasure from them any more. set a day to stop and throw your smokes away
I've been on champix for 5 weeks. Only missing cigarettes as you say for reward. Funny until now I could not pin point why.
My only side effect has been that I am extremely tired. I have no problem sleeping at all!!! The other day I slept 12 hours straight. My appetite did not increase this time either. I am really positive.
Did you have any nausea or trouble sleeping? I'm on my second day and I'm feeling quite ill and I really struggled sleeping last night, as weird as it sounds I feel quite uncoordinated. I'm hoping it's something else and not the champix. I'm going to have one again today and hopefully I'm better tomorrow. Quitting smoking FTW!
@danielflynn3 yes had slight nausia after taking tablet and some sleeplesness which could be from nicotine withdrawells also as the champix blocks the brains receptors to nicotine. keep up the good work
guys this medicin is so effective if u have a strong desire to quit,,,, I have now about three monthes without smoking and i stopped taking the bills a monthe ago. but u have to be carful when u stop teaking the bill because u may feel much more tempted to smoke so do not go with smokers or sit close to them
@excell123 I didnt smoke for 3 or 4 months, I was off them, then at new years I thought I could get away with a few and that was it. So dont even have 1 at a party or anything. I will use champix again. It helps you stop but its up to you to not take it back up again. :(
People say that have huge side effects, well like all medication side effects can occur. Ask yourself: Maybe have side effects for 10-12 weeks or maybe get 10-12 weeks to live some time down the road. I'm going to give champix a try.
Im about to take my first tablet of Champix, im 41 been smoking about 20 yrs on and off but must give up as i have 100% blockage of my Basilar artery in my brain also have a fusiform anuerysm.........so i must give up to have a chance of a long and happy life!
It is working great for me, onto week 2 of champix with only side effects being crazy dreams and drowesiness and the awesome fact that ive now no desire at all nor do I think of having a smoke...
Me too, Champix helped me give up smoking in 2 weeks, i was told to stop in 1 week, but i still did some like one or two a day after the first week, i could not feel anything from the cigarettes anymore, and soon gave up, i haven't smoked for 2 weeks now, i know i have quit now, no craving what so ever. No Nausea, no vomiting, no head aches, except just some very vivid dreams which i kind da like a lot. My health have improved in just 3 days of not smoking. Oh yeah, i need to point out, have
Dude after watching your vid, you have inspired me to make a change... i'm on week 3 pack now 7 days since the last time i had a ciggy and i feel better then ever with slight cravings though but it's manageable... but yeh it does feel like you've missed a friend... Dude thank you for posting this vid and please post an update!!! :D i've told some of my mates to watch this and now i got another mate on them on this stuff... good stuff mate!
@golala4 Thanks pal, just dont start again, dont even have one if your at a party and your drunk and ya just wanna have "one". Champix does not prevent you starting again in the future after you stop taking the pills. It just helps you to stop and its still up to yourself to stay off the smokes and not take them back up. The pills take away the satisfaction of having a smoke, but the satisfaction will come back again after you stop taking the pills and you will continue to smoke again after 1cig
Thanks for the inspiring video! I just had my last cig one hour and a bit ago, I quit one and a half days early. It just wasn't enjoyable anymore and I was excited to quit, rather than terrified!
3 months without smoking, I have 37 y.old and I was smoking from 19 ... personally I believe that the creators of Champix deserve the nobel prize (seriously) because it is the only effective treatment (I tried with tablets of nicotine, laser, chewing gums).-
I'm glad that the Australian government subsidizes this. The Canadian government doesn't and I feel ashamed to say that. I sound quite cynical but even the pharmacist agreed with me when I said if it's that effective, the government would lose a lot of money...like the lottery. Heaven forbid everyone get cured of smoking. We might put them out of business and they would be paying for us to do so.
nice report man, i am on the same thing, all we have to remember is.. quiting now has one big plus.. no oxegen bottle when your 50 !! and also i dont know how much your lungs are going to "heal" after 20 years but they will be releived ! Good work
Champix works, I come five days ago without smoking ... negative effects: I am little silly more that of custom. In Arg, southamerica, the price is 468 $ = €100 = U$s 150... I am not going to lie, i feel like another person, more calmly, like drugged, contemplative because of it I do not want to drive, BUT IT WORKS.-
I started using Champix in October 2009, gave up 7 days later and it was like a switch had been deactivated in my brain. Other than me gaining a few pounds, some queasiness and black dogs I have been off the damn ciggies ever since :)
I'm on my 3rd week using Champix,i now take only the 1mg tablets.Had a bit of sickness and strange dreams but this seems to be easing now.I'm 35 and have been smoking since i was 13.....So far so good!
IF anyone hear has experienced depression, mood swings ,and a lasting effect on their brain (negative)
please. I would like to talk to you. I took this drug 2 years ago, and stopped half way through the process because I couldn't handle what it was doing to me. There were so many side effects I can't even type them all..
i got my champix friday i start tomorrow 8th march 2010, the side effects are worrying me though, suicidal thoughts, vivid dreams, chest pains etc etc, the worst thing about it that woman waking up in hospital not knowing that she tried to commit suicide by puting a noose round her neck and hanging from the bannister, her daughter had to tell her what she done she had no recollection of that, now thats freaky, if you know your getting suicidal thoughts you can do sumthin about it, if not then..
Once i dreamed that I woke up, and then woke up and woke up over and over again. And every time i woke up... something in the room would obviously be off ( a picture, desk whatever) I'd realize I was asleep and try so hard to wake up. Then when i did again, i was completely paralized from the neck down. I thought I was awake, but AGAIN i was still asleep. I think it went on all morning. When I finally woke up for real, i jumped up and called someone to make sure I was awake...
