I hate low torque sports cars that need to be revved hard. Yuk! Just another unimpressiver ricer that'll be forgotten about. The Ford Focus RS, now we're talking about a real scorching hot hatch that's already mythical and legendary.
Type R torque=198Nm, RS torque=440Nm. Enough said. Also, the level of engineering in the RS makes the type R look primitive.
What a joke of a, so called, 'hot hatch' is the Honda. A good girl's at best.
Oh and it's a well established fact here in the UK that Clarkson doesn't know his arse from his elbow :p I find his reviews entertaining sure, but would I ever listen to his advice? Hell no.

I admit i was a bit disappointed about this car in the beginning, but after some spec research and a few minor mods installs it just goes ballistic on the road :)
The Ep3 comes better prepared from factory but the Fn2 has a lot hidden power, just need to fix where honda failed\tamed the car for road use and legal protocols.
Its very sad that this Type R is actually alot slower than the version that came before it.... I don't know why the car needs stability management when it has a torsion beam rear end... way to fail honda...
too many people pay attention to Jeremy Clarksons review. Saying that... even when the Stig took it round it still beat the Focus ST and Golf GTI anyway.
Mugen is a division of honda like spoon sports shop ...they keep the same car put fiber carbon everywhere, exhaust and intake mugen with a chip and you got a mugen civic type r

this car is slow...compared to the jdm civic type R FD2R....that one pumps out 222hp from a K20a engine and looks a helluva lot better. i dunno why Honda bothered with this FN2 to be honest.

another idiot that saw that top gear bullshit. 4 months after that review top gear apologised for the review because the fn2 had only 300 and something miles on the clock. it hadn,t been run in. hence clarkson saying it wasn,t as fast to the redline. hence tight engine needed runing in. there for 4 months after it was run in and it won HOT HATCH of the year 2007. i felt disapointed because i got focus st on a 07 then 2 months later they claimed this was best hot hatch money could buy.

i use to have this car and it was a good car but had many problems with gear box and clutch, which under it was under warrenty, so honda fixed it.
