I personally like a bit of noise so i know what you mean when you said it was too quiet. There have been a few times in the past when the loudest thing i could hear was my own heart beat - very unsettling.
@NaturalBushcraft Hey Ashley, ye maybe a bit techy but they earn there place on some trips. am watching your video now, well trying too internet very slow!!
Excellent vid as usual dude. Whereabouts in Kent is it?
I like Marmot gear, very good quality. Used a Limelight 3P on a two man trip to the Pyrenees last year and it was bloody fantastic, best tent I've ever used. Also got a Marmot waterproof jacket which is a joy to wear in a storm - which you can't say about many. My sleeping bag is a Alpkit 800 down, which was also pretty successful, other than the slightly "wet" disaster here and there!
Oh, and good luck sleeping under Beech trees mate! ;)
I really think your videos would be more popular if you had the camera pointing at gear 99% of the time instead of pointing at yourself all the time. You talked about stoves, backpacks, etc, I saw none of them. Not saying this to be mean, but I know a lot of guys who watch these videos and we want to see gear in action.
Nice video as usual ... Love the MSR, picked one up because of your recomendation, it handles so many things and is just perfect for a single person. Only complaint for it is the air hole in the lid is too small for pouring liquids out without dribbling often. ... The way you keep touting that demo mat you may have to stock it as a regular item .. Looks very servicable as well. ... hope to see more of your trip and testing, so keep em comming. happy soltice and merry nude year ;)
Great to see another video Mike, got me tea and rich teas ready! :) I don't think there's a better sound than the roar of the wind and trees when you're in a forest, it's a great feeling! Man that pasta look de-licious, your Shug impression made me laugh alot xD
Mike, love the night shots ,the little light looks good mate, great to see you out and about again, audio sounded fine in the wind.hope to catch up with you sometime soon.all the best and happy new year.
Haha yeh I've just finished watching it now Skooty. Good vid Mike, glad you gave us some viewing before the Snowdon Trip. Yes Skooty I will probably be struggling a little, still feeling it from the hike over the Simonside hills and the cycling I did at the weekend but it will be worth it.
Ooooh new video....(settles down with popcorn) Happy new year to you n yours Mike.....ooh 1st comment for a change too lol....Kobudo wont be far behind lol (and he says you got to carry him up Snowdonia ( he's getting on a bit Mike lol)

@mentalmonkey26 I haven't seen his more recent videos I don't think, but he stated in this one that this wasn't even a bushcrafting trip.
